Alcohol and tobacco have extra taxes because they are very harmful, and taxes compensate for that. Cannabis has no significant harms, so it should have no extra taxes.
Legalization is not about the business. That's a small side issue. It's about ending ALL the punishment and discrimination against cannabis consumers. We still have a ways to go. We will never be really free until we end the fraudulently enacted FEDERAL prohibition. - Everyone should pick a still illegal state and help them get legal and free! We already have 22 completely legal states, and D.C. We just need four more to have a majority!
