I'm so very happy for you mate, Psilocybin is absolutely amazing, the way it shows you things, the way it teaches you things. I can not believe our world and our people shows less interest about it's helpfulness to humanity. It's love. The mushrooms heals people by showing the truth, it would be so beneficial for so many people, especially politicians and the rich who have lost their way and every other persons out there.
My best friend is a recovering Fentanyl addict, he wouldn’t be here without cannabis. Thank you for advocating on the use of cannabis while getting off of opioids.
I had a friend in highschool who took the opposing path. We were all stoners but he eventually ODd on fentanyl. Very scary drug, he only took one pill too.
Please do not spread misinformation. Fentanyl is used by heroin addicts because its at least the same potent but cheaper. Using Cannabis for doing a withdrawal of such a substance will lead within 24 hours to live-threatening seizures, organ failure or other shock reactions by the body leading to death.
The fact that people can scream, shout, sing and fight outside my house at 3am under the influence of alcohol - yet I'm a criminal for just wanting to sit with a game, a bowl of cereal and a puff to help me unwind and drift off to sleep just baffles me 🤷🏻♂️ (UK)
I don't understand how someone can down 30 beers an hour and smoke 2 packs a day then tell me a joint or 2 per week will kill me and is super dangerous
You can tell she's a true blue educated pot head because of how well she interchanges her educated terminology, and the current slang. Great episode here.
As a professional in a completely different subject matter. I appreciate the 'weed talk' like a normal human discussing the subject "in da couch" and "hot boxing". This is how educators keep the audiences attention. I expect a scientist to know science words, but the presenter shouldn't expect the audience to know science words. Thank you Dr. Wise! .. o and Wired
Note to whoever it was at Wired that transcribed Dr. Wise's interview into Tweet format @8:49, the word she said @8:31 is *"anandamide",* _not_ *"anthocyanin."* Anandamide is a neurotransmitter molecule in our endocannabinoid system, whereas anthocyanins are the pigment molecules that makes red cabbage red, among other things.
Working in the cannabis industry for a couple years and seeing how much research and videos like these come out to help break the stigma makes me so happy :’)
how about that research which debunked the things so big in the industry and its marketing like the sativa/indica distinction.. reminds me of how they showed that vine experts are bullshitters.
@@priapulida i am not gonna disagree with her strongly but imo experience there is definitely a difference. Some weed makes me want to just sit and veg and watch something funny and some makes me want to be more active mentally or physically. When i had the chance to specifically ask for indica or sativa, i compared both varieties in different sessions, sonetimes right after one another. My opinion hasnt changed. That being said, there is not a really big difference.
Psychedelics are just an exceptional mental health breakthrough. It's quite fascinating how effective they are against depression and anxiety. Saved my life.

He's constantly talking about killing someone. He's violent. Anyone reading this Familiar w/ BPD know if it is common for an obsession with violence.
If you smoke everyday you can have a decent tolerance to be able to function properly whilst "baked" but I honestly haven't said "baked" since I was a teenager 😅
After seeing the dry mouth question I wished to share. The best defense to dry mouth is hard candy. Drinking liquids will clean away saliva and mucus making the problem worse while hard candy will greatly promote saliva production and if you use a flavor that can be a minor irritant like cinnamon or mint it will help.
@@queueeeee9000 True. I was going to add citrus as it is actually one of the best choices but so many candies now don't have the citric acid or any actual juice in it so I didn't want to lead anyone astray. If it has a reasonable amount of citric acid or condensed juice though it's perfect. Of course the hardest part is not chewing up the candy lol. You want your body to read it as something that is hard to eat and digest.

It's incredibly hard to separate the two. Cannabis has been a part of human society for thousands of years, and the politics go back just as far. Look up Chris Bennett, he's a researcher who has written numerous books on the subject, and has a few good youtube videos out there where he talks in depth. I recall him talking about how in pre-Judaic times, high priests (but NOT the common people) take part in the "meeting of the tent" to anoint themselves (as well as burn incense) with oil infused with, among other things "kaneh bosm" - which is thought by a growing number of researchers to be cannabis.
Thank you for explaining that using cannabis daily for medicinal reasons is not always a problem. Sometimes people who use it recreationally or non users just don't understand. I know some who claim I'm an addict only because I use it daily. I'm in an illegal state, but I have had multiple doctors and therapists who I was honest with about my use agree that it helps me with some issues related to my PTSD/CPTSD.
I’m in a state where it’s legal and you can apply for a green are specifically to have medical weed at a discount price. One of the qualifications you’d have to have is PTSD. I haven’t gotten the card yet but I definitely smoke because of PTSD and it helps a lot.
People also tend to forget that cannabis has a lot if different substances/molecules with different effects. There are different breeds grown for different uses and effects. Some are grown more for the high effect. Others are grown to be more relaxing. And even others are grown that are more effective for things like pain management and nausea reduction, while barely giving you any high effect at all.
You are only concisered an addict if not having it negatively disrupts your life and and and you keep being distracted by not having it untill you buy more. If not smoking is going to mess up your sleep cycle and diet then you are concisered an addict. But people need to cope, not everyone can have the optimal social health and weed is a better coping tool then gambling, binge eating, drinking, promiscuity and thrill seeking
for the record, I am addicted to weed. when I stop smoking, I have physical symptoms that take a week to three weeks to normalize. sweating, loss of appetite and focus, quick to rage ect why do I want t stop? I'd love to save all that money, it's not great for my lungs and weed suppresses your REM sleep at night making it harder to control your emotions and respond to emotions in other people but it's the most effective way to put a lock on my hyperactive behavior and sometimes manic . I literally vibrate with out weed
my uncle got diagnosed with stage 4 esophageal cancer and was given 5 months to live, 3 months in he started actively smoking weed and 4 years later he’s still with us. not saying it saved his life or is the reason he’s still here, but it overall made everything more enjoyable for him.
It is just amazing how this random hippy plant has now saved people's lives, I first got into cannabis after I sprained my ankle and consuming cannabis literally made me feel okay to walk the next day, it blew my mind, but seeing how it has helped people in real, serious cases like your uncle is so great to see. Godspeed to yall
Like she said, schedule 1 is for "no medical benefits which we now know is not the case." So no matter where it is scheduled, it shouldn't be where it is at right now. And we knew that when we scheduled it in the first place, just less formally. It is absolutely a social justice issue
Well the government couldn't constitutionally make being nonwhite and/or against the Vietnam War illegal, but they could criminalize a substance associated with those demographics and use that as an excuse to take away people's freedom, their rights, and their lives.
Actually even the former ONDCP director Michael Botticelli must have known about USA patent #6630507: Cannabinoids as antioxidants and neuroprotectants ...
Not only that. The agencies that regulate and tax drugs don’t want to deschedule it. Sounds a bit interesting. Especially when the marijuana industry is worth so much and government drug enforcement of this product rakes in millions
I'm really grateful to hear Amber come right out the gate with why some people smoke daily, and without any stigma involved. I am so sick and tired of people lumping me in with this pre-conceived notion of laziness, addiction, and bad life choices. I am an auDHD, disabled 24 year old. I have never been on a mood stabilizer that works better for me than weed. I have hEDS, fibromyalgia, and polyarthritis, as well as several cervical spine issues. People need to stop with the unwarranted advice and realize that there are legitimate, natural healing properties in this plant. My mobility, mood, and overall ability to function is completely due to weed at this point in my life. We have to also remember that in the U.S., healthcare is not accessible at all. Weed is far more accessible than healthcare, even in non-legal states. Weed helps me to unmask, and dulls my sensory overload to the point I'm able to manage social interactions a lot better. I also grew up with parents who were addicted to hard drugs, and while obviously people struggling with addiction deserve resources, care, and empathy, I am tired of weed being compared to other addictions. The only reason I am unwilling to stop smoking as of now is because of how well it helps me maintain my health.
I don't smoke any more because of a high regard for MY EFFIN' LUNGS. But even so, smoking every day just seems to do nothing after a while? Is that just me or common for everyone. If I eat a gummy, the next day it takes 2 gummies, then 3, then 5 and then I don't even bother for a month or so.
@@justgivemethetruthsome people do tolerance breaks so they can go back to smoking less and getting the same effect. It’s a totally normal experience. Although idk how it differs when comparing actual bud to edibles

I'm an on/off recreational user. I realized that responsible use only has positive effects for me, but as my usage becomes irresponsible, negative effects start to manifest. Below I've listed my subjective positive and negative effects. Positives (responsible usage): insightful thoughts about things you care about (like music production), relaxing activities are way more relaxing and enjoyable, headspace and visuals when tolerance is low, absurd music enhancement, and potentially more complex and intentional art creation or ideas. Negatives (heavy usage): no dreams, weaker and fragmented mental visualization, less thoughts overall, less curiosity and general motivation, and unpleasant mental effects upon quitting (head feels empty and hypnagogic hallucinations are heavily exaggerated, aswell as an inability to sleep that makes you slightly delirious and further intensifies hypnagogic hallucinations) I recommend buying a time capsule case or something, and only taking out enough for you to smoke in a single sitting, then lock the case for atleast 24 hours or beyond. Irresponsible use basically just means addiction for me. And responsible use is about how much space you can create between sessions, so to milk the positive effects and prevent any negatives.
I've found more or less the same for me. Limiting myself to only once or twice a week seems to be peak enjoyment with minimal side effects to my life. That said it can be hard to limit when you have it at hand.
@@Tych333 I think it's so easy to become addicted because at the start its really beneficial and fun but once you start smoking every hour of the day, it gets bad. I'm definitely buying a time capsule case the next time I start smoking again.

Interesting stuff. That bit about increasing blood flow to the prefrontal cortex got me thinking about the people I know with ADHD who are more functional when they smoke weed.
Yes the varying strains, dosages, mode of consumption, etc can severely impact the pharmaceutical industry due being capable of having so many different effects.
@@tphillips37 I think people can be almost complete inversions of each other. Definitely, not everybody reacts in the same way to the same thing. I was talking to a friend, a while back, and we both have the opposite reactions to the light spectrum than what is commonly believed (orange and red light wakes us up and blue light makes us sleepy). At some point science will find some function of some gene that makes some brains behave in the opposite way to what the current science insists is the case.
@@tphillips37 There are some people like you. For me one of the weirdest things is amphetamines prescribed to ADHD people, to slow them down and make them more focused. I used to read a bit about that stuff. A couple of amazing books were written by a guy called by some "grandpa Shulgin". PIKHAL and TIKHAL. Very interesting stuff. I remember also there was a wonderful website called "Erowid Vault". It had an amazing knowledge and a ton of stories written by people using chems. Yes, I checked. Over 20 years later and it's still active 🥰 For me personally, I just hate putting MDMA into a trash bin by FDA. After Alexander Shulgin synthesized it, practically rediscovering it again after over 50 years, he and his team reported a great potential use in psychotherapy, especially for PTSD and couples therapy. And FDA just thrashed the whole thing because it had "metaamphetamine" in its name...
Thank you for bringing up that it helps with neurodivergent issues. A vape can pull me out of a panic attack in 30 seconds and help me deal with severe anxiety, but I am currently getting held up on getting meds to help with neurodivergent stuff because they want a drug test and will fail for weed. Im literally trying to get on meds that will help me better and im getting stopped because I am unable to deal with the issue on my own without any assistance first.
As someone who has been working in the cannabis industry for a few years now and has been invested in the educational aspect of cannabis, this video is amazing. One point I want to add though. On the topic of Indica vs Sativa, The names actually just refer to the manner in which the plant grows. Sativa plants typically have longer, more fanned out leaves while Indica plants have thicker, more bunched up leaves. The reason these terms started to apply to the effect is because of the terpene profiles that were common among the landrace strains. Indicas were typically higher in terpenes like myrcene and linalool. Giving them the relaxing effect that the name is famous for. Whereas Sativas were typically higher in Limonene and Caryophyllene. Which gives an uplifting, euphoric effect. Hope this helps clear up some confusion!
Exactly one grows short and the other grows tall. And both have different percentages of terpenes that effect if it's indica or sativa. The genetics basically shows they are subspecies of each other and not the exact same plants.
I'm in my 60's. Growing up, one of my friends got bone cancer and lost his leg at 13. He was one of the very first people to receive chemotherapy and they dosed it really heavy at the time. This made him terribly nauseous. The doctors put him on anti nausea medication which in turn gave him grand mall seizures. I was there for two of them. His dad was a pharmacist and even his dad was glad to see him smoke pot instead.
As a bud tender, I agree indica and sativa is not the best way to classify plants, but what I do use those terms for is to understand what they are looking for. For example if someone says they are looking for an indica I know they want to relax/sleep, I use that to pick strains that I know will give them the effects they want.
I always suspected there was little difference between indica and sativa, because without knowing, I simply could not tell any difference. And always wondered what everyone was always talking about or if I was somehow just missing it all. Good to finally know I was actually MORE perceptive than most, not less.
I have MS. The big issue with MS is that it can attack any part of the brain or spinal cord, so the symptoms can really be anything. But one of the most common symptoms is depression. Weed really helped me cope with that. Another super common symptom is fatigue, which I know weed would only make worse. But I'm on adderall for both adhd and chronic fatigue, so weed also helps me fall asleep when the addy wears off.
You could use an herb vaporizer that heats the flower past the boiling point (solid -> gas) of various cannabinoids without heating the plant to the point of combustion (burning). That would make it so that there is no ash nor other byproducts of the chemical reaction that is “burning”.
It's true inhaling any smoke is bad for you lungs. Nothing is going to make inhaling anything "safer". Your lungs can only handle air and of course like temporary medications like steroids for like asthma attacks and other lung diagnoses.
@@Embermeetstimber Crazily enough, I saw something about that a very long time ago (15+ years) and I understood something similar. Like, smoking causes cancer but the THC and CBD somehow makes it so that the cancer cells metabolize off and build back or something crazy. stellar presentation. i will be referencing this for discussions with less cannabis-versed friends. please do more! this kind of content is invaluable as western society embraces cannabis.
Sativa and indica are most certainly a thing. If you smell linalool, you feel relaxed just like lavender. If you smell limonene or pinene, they smell bright and tend to energize you for a moment
The thing I hate about smoking is not being able to remember dreams much if at all. However when quitting and the vivid dreams hit it's amazing and can be very intense for the first few days
I think REM sessions are lowered altogether, not just remembering them. And we usually have several occasions of REM-sleep a night, and our memories of them squish together upon awakening, which is one reason they often seem so bizarre. We all normally have several every night and forget all but the last, or just bits and pieces, and its common not to remember at all. Anyways, it's a good reason to take breaks if you are a daily user.
As a semi vet grower, this Dr was spitting absolute facts. One critique was the grazing over indica vs. sativas - but you could probably talk for hours on how it doesn’t necessarily matter. Great info great delivery!
mannnn call me oldschool but resin is the tar that builds up in your piece that used to save the day when I was 16 and out of weed. Rosin, Live Resin, Wax, Shatter, Hash, Butter, etc etc etc are all concentrates, but just the term "resin" will always make me think of pip build up resin.
I think that the trend of striving towards maximum THC has actually caused the plant to not feel as great. Having schizoaffective disorder, I could rarely consume weed without tripping out in an unpleasant way, and was about to give up on the plant, that is, until I discovered the anti-psychotic properties of CBD hemp. By mixing hemp and weed to a ratio of about 1:1, 2:1, or 3:1 CBD to THC, the sessions have become almost exclusively successful. I feel chilled out and high with very little paranoia. Mixing sage also improves this a little.

Great video, although she sort of glossed over the "10-30% of users develop a use disorder". She's right of course that it is waaay safer and less addictive than most other drugs, but speaking as somebody who was extremely and unhealthily dependent on weed for about 2 years, I wish I had known before starting that it had the potential to get that kind of hold over you. I'm 100% pro-legalization and de-stigmatization but I also think we need to be more honest about some of the risks involved and advise the public.
Unfortunately addictive personalities are going to find an unhealthy attachment. The difference here, is although mentally you might feel there’s an addiction, there is no physical addiction like alcohol or opiates. It’s true that anything can become an addiction.
I loved this video! My only quarrel was with the addiction question, which I felt was a bit biased of an answer. While it’s true that it’s not physically addictive and does not cause withdrawals, many have used the term “psychologically addictive” to say that they find it incredibly difficult to stop smoking, and always find a “reason” to keep smoking, no matter how dire the circumstances. As someone who’s been a smoker themselves, and surrounding by people who partake as well, I’ve seen it countless times where people just cannot quit smoking, even when they’re about to lose their car or something. That’s addiction.
M'well, at least you're happening to admit your own source of perpetual self-sustained confusion right there: « ...I’ve seen it countless times where people just cannot quit smoking... » Try read it and re-read abain and again, as many times as necessary to realize the real deal just ain't only about cannabis and people... The bigot victorian-age prohibitionnists can be satisfied and happy.
That's ridiculous. Of course it causes withdrawal. Addiction and dependence are not the same thing either, that's a complete myth. There is no such thing as "physical addiction". All addictions are mental, all dependencies are physical. Where people get mixed up is comparing neurological physical dependencies (like with weed, stimulants, etc.) to somatic physical dependencies (such as with opioids).
@@Ryan88881you are genuinely the only sane and correct person I’ve seen in these comments. Can’t believe she didn’t define addiction correctly. I’m totally pro legalization and getting people with weed charges out of prison, but I’ve struggled with weed addiction and been in treatment for years. It’s just like any other pleasurable thing. It can and will become a problem if the circumstances are right for it to become a problem
REM sleep is not just "the part where you remember your dreams", but the part where your brain actually gains proper rest. Reducing REM cycle has serious knock on effects.

Yeah man. I tell everyone this. I always say it has more to do with what's in your stomach and how hydrated you are. Also, HOW you inhale. I get a different high if I cough and I get a different high if I inhale fresh air while inhaling smoke as well.
I’ve always thought the difference between sativa and Indica were the genetics of the plant. However depending on how long you wait to harvest after the trichomes form on the buds will determine whether it’s more of a head high or body high. The longer the plant goes without being harvested the darker and more cloudy the trichomes get. The darker they are they heavier the high feels.
The self-reported distinction between indica and sativa is a good example of placebo effect. So, if your friend says they only like one or the other, just tell them it’s that one.
Disappointed that she didn't mention the robust evidence suggesting that THC leads to lower quality sleep- this is because of what she mentioned, it disrupts REM. I am pro legalization, but I feel like that is a true and important point for a science communicator to mention.
I can verify the benefits during radiation treatment for cancer. Without smoking I couldn't even take a bite of food without feeling sick and no appetite. With weed I ate a lot and felt much better. It definitley helped with mood and rest. Great video!

Oh that’s a good tip! Thanks for that.

Is he on the internet?
I love that she addressed the political science as aptly as the physical science.
Me too cannabis definitely appeals to both
Thank you for explaining that using cannabis daily for medicinal reasons is not always a problem.
Same here
People also tend to forget that cannabis has a lot if different substances/molecules with different effects.
But people need to cope, not everyone can have the optimal social health and weed is a better coping tool then gambling, binge eating, drinking, promiscuity and thrill seeking
for the record, I am addicted to weed. when I stop smoking, I have physical symptoms that take a week to three weeks to normalize. sweating, loss of appetite and focus, quick to rage ect
why do I want t stop? I'd love to save all that money, it's not great for my lungs and weed suppresses your REM sleep at night making it harder to control your emotions and respond to emotions in other people but it's the most effective way to put a lock on my hyperactive behavior and sometimes manic . I literally vibrate with out weed
U hear a lot of the terminology around weed thrown around quite often, she did an excellent job explaining those here imo

Social justice, politics, economics, corporate pressure, fund raising, social controls and more reasons depending on when your talking about.
Actually even the former ONDCP director Michael Botticelli must have known about USA patent #6630507:
Cannabinoids as antioxidants and neuroprotectants

Agreed 👊🏼
I don't smoke any more because of a high regard for MY EFFIN' LUNGS. But even so, smoking every day just seems to do nothing after a while? Is that just me or common for everyone. If I eat a gummy, the next day it takes 2 gummies, then 3, then 5 and then I don't even bother for a month or so.

As a biochemist and pharmaceutical researcher, I can say her chemistry and pharmacology are very accurate. Great educational video.
Negatives (heavy usage): no dreams, weaker and fragmented mental visualization, less thoughts overall, less curiosity and general motivation, and unpleasant mental effects upon quitting (head feels empty and hypnagogic hallucinations are heavily exaggerated, aswell as an inability to sleep that makes you slightly delirious and further intensifies hypnagogic hallucinations)
I recommend buying a time capsule case or something, and only taking out enough for you to smoke in a single sitting, then lock the case for atleast 24 hours or beyond.

Got any citations ?
i couls kiss you
So it's the terpenes that give us the effects?
no, but they modulate the psychoactive effects of THC and other cannabinoids

Definitely would love a part2. There's so much to learn about this plant!
As a bud tender, I agree indica and sativa is not the best way to classify plants, but what I do use those terms for is to understand what they are looking for. For example if someone says they are looking for an indica I know they want to relax/sleep, I use that to pick strains that I know will give them the effects they want.
What about a strain that you can use while you're doing physical activity?

But I'm on adderall for both adhd and chronic fatigue, so weed also helps me fall asleep when the addy wears off.

I smoke weed but I also know that inhaling any type of smoke into your lungs is not good. Was hoping she'd touch on this subject.
You seem to already know the answer. If you don't want cancer then get a vaporizer
Not sure where you live, but in Canada there is a wide variety of strains available everywhere. You aren't forced to buy the wheelchair stuff.
How do you recover after tripping out in an unpleasant way?
And how long does it take I’m a little worried
@@iluvfruitpunch i have before, if you jus forget about it and move on you'll be alright and be back to regular
@@iluvfruitpunch it depends on the person and what type of trip. I had derealisation episodes where I couldn't tell if I was real and was unable to eat well for weeks after because I was convince I was going to choke on food. The thing that helped was to ground myself by being close to family and friends who assured me that I was very much real and wasn't going to die if I ate. So yeah no more weed for me ever, they were high cbd and low thc edible too 😭
What...? Old School 70 yr old here... Smoker for a very long time. For me; Sati makes my bp go up, makes me tremble, & feel overly concerned with things. Indi helps me relax, relieves anxiety, & helps me to sleep well. So theres that- for me @ least.. Thankyou...
Anecdotal evidence is just that.
Sounds like a personal problem not cannabis’.

M'well, at least you're happening to admit your own source of perpetual self-sustained confusion right there:
« ...I’ve seen it countless times where people just cannot quit smoking... »
Try read it and re-read abain and again, as many times as necessary to realize the real deal just ain't only about cannabis and people...
The bigot victorian-age prohibitionnists can be satisfied and happy.
That’s not an addiction. That’s a dependency and a lack of discipline.
@@PhenomRom you just described addiction
Remember folks, the prohibition of cannabis was never about people consuming it and it was all about making discriminatory arrests
REM sleep is not just "the part where you remember your dreams", but the part where your brain actually gains proper rest. Reducing REM cycle has serious knock on effects.
Mm, REM is associated with restoring a lot of things but I'm pretty sure deep sleep is where most 'rest' is gained.
I'm a long term heavycannabis smoker. im'm 30 now but when i first started smoking when i was a teenager, i deffiantly had some psychedelic experiences with cannabis, somewhat simalar to the affects of Mushrooms of LSD
Moderation in everything is key
Tell that to an addict. That's like saying just stay happy to a depressed person
Why for any reason would you moderate happiness, joy, euphoria..? You don't need to moderate everything. :)

I feel so vindicated about the indica vs sativa thing. I've been telling my partner for YEARS that there is no discernable difference.
Me too!
Yeah man. I tell everyone this. I always say it has more to do with what's in your stomach and how hydrated you are. Also, HOW you inhale. I get a different high if I cough and I get a different high if I inhale fresh air while inhaling smoke as well.
Yes there is.

Learned more in 16m than in everything prior, thanks for the depth of your answers!
Can we take a second to appreciate her hexagon earrings looking like a molecule structure diagram?
Disappointed that she didn't mention the robust evidence suggesting that THC leads to lower quality sleep- this is because of what she mentioned, it disrupts REM. I am pro legalization, but I feel like that is a true and important point for a science communicator to mention.
Is your quality of sleep low with oils/edibles as well just wondering?
Low quality sleep? yes that's true but I do get a lot of it. 😂

I can verify the benefits during radiation treatment for cancer. Without smoking I couldn't even take a bite of food without feeling sick and no appetite. With weed I ate a lot and felt much better. It definitley helped with mood and rest. Great video!
You really saved me some time in my daily routine getting out of bed usually consists of cannabis for the chronic pain and joint stiffness then a couple hours of shame then redbull for the chronic fatigue and I more or less got to skip the shame part today

I use cannabis everyday for chronic headaches, I also use to struggle eating but once I get the munchies I feel fine to eat. Also for my morning nausea/anxiety
She should have said that being “all in your head” can be effective … the placebo effect, specifically. Having an expectation will definitely push an experience in that direction … and that’s usually an improvement.
