All the comments with regard to 80s prices: 1 oz lid was 60 bucks, quarter lbs were around 200 bucks and full lbs were around 500 bucks. The really good stuff could fetch $100 an oz. and lbs would touch a grand. Stuff like Guatemalan Blonde, Acapulco Gold, Sensimilla or Maui Wowie. I have no idea how this would compare to today's stuff...haven't smoked or even seen any for 35 years.

I rented an apartment above my apartment in the late 90's under a fake name. My buddy and I tinfoiled the whole place and had the kitchen for trimming and processing, living room for flowering, bedroom for clones amd seedlings, and we used the walk in storage closet by the front door to breed. Did that for 3 years. We sold probably 2/3 of our yield to the bikers and kept the rest. We didn't make much off it, we had full time jobs. We were mostly growing for personal, but sold to the bikers at a very low cost as we just wanted the operation paid for, we weren't looking to profit, just wanted free weed, and large amounts of it.
