The Dell XPS15 is larger and equipped like a larger machine. They don’t directly compete. That being said, Dell is still shipping a 720p camera in 2022 if thats important to you. The Thinkpad competitor would be the X1 Extreme or the P1. Or the new Z16.

Great review. thank you. I would avoide the Gen 10 X1 carbon and get the T14s Gen 3 AMD Ryzen 6800u series. slightly heavier than the X1 carbon at 2.75 lbs and with 6nm AMD Ryzen that is better on battery and better RDNA2 graphics. a winner all around.
Hi , will test Lenovo T440s should give me 14hrs ,now you can get it for 200$ cca depends on condition.. obviously guys, always buy machine for purpose of using,no waste money ..
If battery life is important to you, the Z13 hands down. The carbon is a bit lighter and is a bit bigger. As you've seen on the benchmarks, the Z13 is on par with the carbon, but the battery life is almost double. I prefer a 14" screen, but on the current generation I am waiting for a good Ryzen 6000 + USB4 option. T14s maybe...?
Unless you can’t get to any power outlet for 5+ hours it doesn’t really matter. I’d rather have the performance. I thought it would bother me but am mostly at my desk anyway. The OLED display is awesome too and far outweighs the fact that battery life is average. In saying that, I would be interested for someone to compare the U series with the same spec in P series. The product spec sheet suggests not too much difference in battery life between the 2.
Lack of sd card is a deal breaker for me. It also goes against the “build it in” philosophy that Lenovo prides itself in Thinkpad design for decades. Sad to see them go against what made the old computers great

Well I bought the 2.8 K model and am seriously disappointed with Lenovo. Randomly closing the screen puts it into toaster mode. Constantly requires hard resets. Lenovo told me to downgrade to windows 10 reformatted, Now they tell me not to upgrade the drivers as they claim that can cause more issues. Returned to Lenovo 4 times now. Complete waste of time. They just say it must be a windows issue. Lenovo has No support these days. Avoid at all costs. Loved earlier models that worked. This is not acceptable

This!!! Total agree with it and completely frustrated with the market today, why don't reviewers talk more about key-f***ing-travel and if it was improved(increased and feels good) or retarded(pathetic feel and low key travel). I bought a laptop only to return it because the key travel and the keyboard was shit. I think every content creator is incentivized to feed only the consumers for whom display and output devices are important. For producers like people who spend more time coding and building stuff, its the keyboard which will be most useful and its far too undervalued by everyone today on the planet, since everyone is becoming dumber and dumber consumers and wouldn't have the prudence to change to being producers who want to use tools(laptops) to create stuff by typing on the keyboard. Sure there is also content creation who would need good display but they wouldn't be looking at carbon X would they?
So a zero out of ten? As in it not only doesn’t function as a keyboard but it gave you cancer and banged your mom? Just curious about the scale in use here thanks hope this helps have a Great weekend 👌

What did you think when this review made a point to praise the speakers of this laptop thanks hope this helps have a Great weekend 👌

T14s gen 3 ryzen 6000 is much better choice after all
Fantastic video! Thank you.
Can you also do the Lenovo X1 Extreme Gen 5? That would be amazing! I need a new laptop.
Hopefully soon!
Bought this today!
Great video! Thank you! I am a court reporter. Do you think the i5 processor is okay? Trying to save some money. I do in court and zoom hearings. Thank you!
You should be fine with the i5
@@andrewmarcdavid Thank you! :)
waiting for the dell xps 13 plus fhd version review
Thanks man, great video.
I use an X1 Carbon G9, with maximum possible spec that was available; which I purchased exactly three years ago. So far, it's working like a racehorse. It's up from morning till evening pretty much every day.
Now I'm upgrading to X1 CG10 ... can't wait to receive my order.
Cheers 🍻
Good stuff!
Can you update us on your new purchase of X1 CG10 (hopefully with maximum possible spec that is available now)? I am going to order X1 CG9/10 and I would like to hear from you your experience and comparison of 9 and 10.
Your timing couldn't be better! I will receive the X1 Carbon G10 this week, and I will update you about its performance a while after.
Just in case, the spec is the highest that was possible on the machine: 32 GB of the fastest possible RAM, CPU of i7 12th generation, and 2 TB of SSD hard drive.
In case I forgot to pass technical judgment and evaluation on the machine, please feel free to remind me.

@@quantummath Can you update me please about your new X1 Gen 10? Is your product same as mine (X1 Carbon Gen 10 with 12th Gen i7 1280p, 32GB RAM, 2TB SSD and WQUXGA (3840 x 2400) touch display)?
Sure, here's the copy/paste from the full spec:

In a word, the machine is a piece of art. Works like a horse like the X1CG7 (his grandpa) , which is now the secondary laptop.
In case you'd like to know more, please feel free to send a message through my RUclips channel, so I'd forward you some screenshots/etc.
cheers.

hi everyone, can this laptop easily handle 20-50 google chrome tabs? since im a heavy user of youtube, lot of websites going on, so usually 20-50 tabs running behind, so Im super curious if this machine could handle 20-50 tabs with a few windows opened, please help !!!
How much does this one cost?
See link in video description
Great review. thank you. I would avoide the Gen 10 X1 carbon and get the T14s Gen 3 AMD Ryzen 6800u series. slightly heavier than the X1 carbon at 2.75 lbs and with 6nm AMD Ryzen that is better on battery and better RDNA2 graphics. a winner all around.
Doesn't have thunderbolt and AMD throttles their CPUs. There is a reason why AMD only has 10% laptop market share...
Plus can’t get 3K or 4K display options.
@@RK-um9tu has USB 4.0. dont need thunderbolt
@@CrankCyclingChannel dont need 3k or 4k. has 2.8k oled optipn and 2.2k IPS.
@@RK-um9tu also AMD has larger Market cap than Intel now. $155 billion vs $143 billion..
Great Review. This one or the Dell XPS 13 Plus? I would love to see a comparison.
Hi , will test Lenovo T440s should give me 14hrs ,now you can get it for 200$ cca depends on condition.. obviously guys, always buy machine for purpose of using,no waste money ..
This or z13?
If battery life is important to you, the Z13 hands down.
The carbon is a bit lighter and is a bit bigger. As you've seen on the benchmarks, the Z13 is on par with the carbon, but the battery life is almost double.
I prefer a 14" screen, but on the current generation I am waiting for a good Ryzen 6000 + USB4 option. T14s maybe...?
Also important, if you plan to do some gaming at any point, then the Z13 is the only real option here. 😉
Have you given up sleep? You've increased your output massively of late!
Pretty much 😂
That battery life is just puny for 2022, especially for an ultrabook that’s meant to be portable.
Need the amd chips. Intel this generation is not good.
Finally!!
What is the point if the battery life sucks? I rather sticking with old Thinkpads
Battery life is ok, just not as good as last year. It comes down to the huge increase in performance and ultimately power consumption.
@@D10N1S101985 totally agree with u
Intel disappoints!!!
Lack of sd card is a deal breaker for me. It also goes against the “build it in” philosophy that Lenovo prides itself in Thinkpad design for decades. Sad to see them go against what made the old computers great
Cuz, the menory cards not relevant today. last time i used them, was around 10 years ago.
@@wraith6170 i use them every single day
@@MohamedAli965 Man thats not very important anymore. But even if u still use it, u can but flash drive with sd card slot and use it easily.

The battery life killed it for me. I'm getting gen 9. The upgrades are not worth the cons.
You look great
Ok. Gracias. València. Spain...

for all comments recommend apple laptops, i start using macbook in 2011 then i mac then mac book air, with personal experience mac book is really terrible and big problem is u cannot change damage pieces, let say one day the battery is crashed ? ur laptop to the trash.
Great Linux laptop.
LG Gram series with 12th gen CPU better than this
can finally let go of my X1 6TH gen
did you cause the keyboard on the 9th gen is shite
too bad the battery is shit
anti glare coating suck
Not if you hate reflections and glare.
You gotta hear this. I came from a T420 and am currently using a X1C5. I went to see the X1C10 and other current Thinkpad models. Gosh, the keyboard has changed a lot, for the worse. The key travel has reduced from 1.8mm to 1.5mm since X1G7 and the key caps are now shorter and flatter. Thinkpads are known for their keyboard and I am giving them a 0/10 now for it. Don’t think I’ll upgrade to a Thinkpad anymore bcoz of this. I’ll stick with my X1C5.
Lenovo Thinkpads are the best machines in the world.
