Ignore the negativity. If Andrew had faith in you and Tom, then I will continue watching. Keep on improving.
An interesting and different collection than the repeated boring collections one normally see on other channels. Attainable and Relatable. And by the way, you're doing great. Keep up the good work Jack.
Hi Jack, I'm Steve. Glad to put a name to the voice. Take no notice of the naysayers, it takes time to settle into a new role and you're doing fine. Thank you for sharing your collection.
Absolutely.
Thanks for sharing Jack! It's a nice way to get to know you a little bit. Looking forward to getting better acquainted in the future. Keep up the good work.
I saw some of the comments on the last video you narrated and they were just downright unfair. It was nice for Tom to do the last few, but I can already hear you improving your narration with each video, I imagine you're still finding your voice - keep at it Jack! (oh, and nice watches too)
If this high-pitched, stilted reading from a script is an improvement ... 😂
@@richardsmegma5081 look, he’s not there yet, but he definitely gave it more personality in this one than his first go, and it’s certainly an improvement. if you still want andrew’s narration you can, like i have, subscribe to his channel as well. but im not put off by a newer team member having a crack at the watchfinder video format, even if it takes a few videos to find his voice
@@Spongefov Thanks, Jack!
Hear hear!
This was the first Watchfinder that I watched from start to finish since the departure of Mr. Hands. It kept my attention for the full 7 plus minutes! As for the constant drone of complaints, I get it. But here's the funny thing. When Mr. Hands started showing his handsome face, everyone complained. When Tom and Mr. Hands did the podcast format, everyone complained. Now we are back to a format that is most like the original Watchfinder videos: macros, music and manos. This is what people said that they missed so much pre-FaceTime and podcast...and now I understand why watch brands ignore you jackwagons.
Keep going. You guys will get your riddim, hit your stride. I'll be here to watch.
R.I.P. Jaeger-LeCoultre, but a round of applause to the Omega FOIS
Hi Jack , always interesting to see someone's collection and the history behind it. Nice one here !!
For your next watch .. maybe a dressy one with a little extravagance that sets it apart. A moonphase complication (Longines or JLC) or a cartier tank. But an ORIS big crown pointer date could easily fit as well (in bronze would add diversity to the materials as well in this collection).
Coming from a subscriber for past five years - that's the way to go Jack 👏
Yup
Keep up the great work Jack, be you and don’t let the negativity ruin the way that you do your work. I know that you are very passionate about this subject we all share and will become more relaxed and happy as you continue on your journey.
This first few videos were a bit shaky, Andrew definitely left some big shoes to fill. This video was already a lot better, we'd like to get to know you Jack, and we don't expect you to be Andrew, just lean into your own style. Don't worry about the watches you sold, it was for a good cause. Who knows, they might just find their way back to you.
Also for anyone complaining about the difference, I feel like you either forgot some of the early videos or weren't here long enough, but Andrew also grew into his style and way of presenting. Give Jack room to do the same and be his own.
TBH I watched a 6 yr old post by Andrew and he has come on in leaps and bounds in terms of delivery and presentation. So whilst Jack is filling some pretty big shoes, it is worth remembering we all started somewhere.
I do like your 1st watch from your Dad, that is a keep sake, and your Baltic white dial, that's a lovely watch... May be you need a Tudor Pelagos 39mm i am considering one for myself, they are a stunning looking watch, with such a legible crisp dial 👍 Au
Solid collection from a true watch enthusiast! Keep up the great work. Big shoes to fill, yess but it's filling up quite nicely.
Very good content - great turn around from the last few weeks. Finding the groove is tough but the team is finding it well!
I just LOVE Hamilton's Jazzmaster line. Yours is especially beautiful. Thank you for sharing!
Good job Jack.
I’m enjoying your work and what a top lad for parting ways with some fine watches for bricks and mortar.
Nice collection too!
Hello Jack.
The old Tissots, much better than the current ones 😅
Good introduction Jack! I like your collection. Keep on, keeping on. Don’t mind the critics. You are now on the channel with Tom and I enjoy hearing you both. The critics are currently just typists 😂. Glad you are not AI 😊. Keep it real!
Wow! It’s nice to see such an original and well thought out collection. So many SOTC videos are littered with the same watches that is mere mortals could never attain lol.
P.S I think you should add another diver and a modern field watch. Suggestions would be a Doxa Sub. And for the field watch, maybe SWC Ark. or something from the Boldr range. I’d also recommend the Citizen Chandler which is a cracking little solar field watch I own personally.
I like Jack now :) That Hamilton looks hypnotic 😵💫
love the bringing back of the intro bgm!
Add the watch that you can justify and want to wear, it's great to have suggestions but the watch is for you not for those on (anti)social media. We're all different and have different tastes. I great SOTC along with the recently departed for good reasons. A great video Jack and thanks for sharing.
Oh boy, I’m sad you had to sell that JLC. But your collection is pretty interesting and different. I wasn’t expecting so many watches! The Speedy is always awesome
Nice collection man, keep doing what you doing.
I enjoy Andrew as much as everyone else, but he has his own channel if you miss him so much. Or just do what I do and watch both channels, and keep your negativity out of the comments section.
Yeah, so much hate in the comments
Yea I’m sure antagonizing people who have valid criticisms is the way to go. I’m sure watchfinder appreciate your comment.
Well said!
@@Joe-cp5udvalid criticism? I can’t tell if you’re being sarcastic or not. I haven’t seen any criticism whatsoever. All the comments are “this channel is dead”. That’s not criticism, that’s negativity. If you don’t like it, keep on scrolling.
I thought we had kicked out dictatorship and censorship in 1945. Stop dictating to people trying to suppress points of views!
Wow, for an AI you've got great taste in watches 😝 Great video, and I agree with others you're coming into your own!
The Tudor Oyster is beautiful! Wish they still made them like that! Certainly the essence of a Tudor watch
Really enjoyable video, excited for the future of this channel. More of this!
Great "intro" video Jack. What is your wrist size by the way?
Hey good stuff! Enjoyed the style and content! Appreciate your collection too! The Tudor I thought from first glance was a Rolex: cool vintage piece there. Go for a different shape, imho, for next watch!
Very similar to my own collection. Modest but very interesting. The collection of someone who genuinely loves watches but isn't filthy rich (isn't that most of us?). Love that vintage Tudor.
Keep up the good work, Jack!
Thanks, Jack! Nice collection, keep it up! Courage
Great video and a great collection!
I'm all up for this type of video continuing on the channel. I'm supporting Andrew on his personal channel because I just really like his content, but this specific style of video isn't really Andrew-specific, different personalities can fill in.
Love it. Great collection
The black no-date polaris is one of my favorites. That one hurts
Thank you for sharing this video, and your collection was amazing 🤩.
I think the Hamilton skeleton is the most awesome in the group because it's name was a Hamilton, far better practical than a Rolex or Omega .
Okay Jack, now that we have a name we'll stop with the bullying in the comments. Go Jack!
Nice collection my friend!!
Welcome Jack, great collection!
I didn't know Tudor did an Oyster, so when one got a mention in the last series of Archer (on Netflix), I assumed they were just mashing up watch words.
Archer mentions Tudor watches? That’s a pretty niche reference for a show like Archer!
Really cool collection!
Is an interesting pleasant presentation about watches. I like it. I’m watching.
That Franken-tissot looks very much like a vintage Bullova my GF inherited from her father.
Great collection. It’s a shame you had to sell off some timepieces. I did the same for my house. Not watches but other things. Maybe add an Edifice or Adina to your collection. That would be different to almost any other reviewer. I’m going for my 3rd Adina & got 3 Casio Edifice in my collection. Couldn’t be happier.
Greetings Jack!
It's refreshing to see a real collection - not a refined one, but built from some good quartz received as a gift with some impulse buys in between
Besides, it's interesting how your hands will differ from the other ones. We've seen a deadpan pair, there's an hyperactive pair now, I wonder what your hands will be. Cheers!
This was so well done Jack. Interesting watches. Had me hooked from start to finish. Just being yourself, keeping it simple and relatable. Ignore the negativity in the comments!
Hey jack, how big are your wrists?
Well done Jack. Looks like you are finding your feet. Keep on improving🙏
I'm still a fan. Keep up the good work.
Interesting range of watches ... love the battered Tissot. An interesting range & whilst everyones choies are either financial or persoanl, we generally buy because we like what we see or that look, just satisfies our needs. :)
Great SOTC video!
Get the Longines Legend diver next, squint a bit...& imagine that JLC Polaris is still in your collection 😁
I REALLY like that Hamilton. Well chosen, sir. Your respect rating has improved .. marginally. It will take time ;-) Nobody likes changed. But you are VERY good. So, there is hope. Keep it up. We need more humor though :P
Great video Jack. perhaps a Maen next ?
You did a good one. Thank you.
You proposed to Tom??
Enjoyed this video.
Nice collection
Absoutly awful needing to sell those lovely watches for the mortgage! I have a Portofino and love it in the blue. The gold accents really bring out it's beauty and I want a Polaris (someday). In fact Jack, would you do a video on JLC at some point and hightlight the range. My fav wtch is the GMT Yacht Master II ! Tudor is no longer a rebadged Rolex. It's now more a standalone offering from Rolex
Cheers, we share 3 of the ones you've still kept
This comment section would be a lot more fun to read if everyone who only wanted Andrew just left and went to AMW already so there were more comments talking about the actual video instead because I think this one is one of my favorites so far. Always love hearing the story of a watch when looking at it :)
Great vid, love the Baltic and nice to see another small wrister out there.
I can tell Jack is doing the close up beauty shot vids and Tom is doing the lists. Personally I think this setup is best suited to the voices, keep it up 👍
will you consider a Grand Seiko ShunBun into your collection?
FOIS is awesome mine is also on a black sailcloth strap
This feels like top gear all over again
Very nice.
Keep your sentimental Tissot (nice albeit tiny) & your Speedmaster. I’d ditch the rest in favour of a Tudor BB54/58 diver & Rolex GMT then call it a day 👍🏻
Proper worn - in both senses - watches...great to see!
Add a Breitling navitimer chronograph with circular slide rule.
@ the new narrator Jack, i think you are doing a very good job. Please continue…
Ofcourse, watching this chanel was the magic of the voice of Andrew, the talking hands. His face and identity was a mistery. It was a big hit for many years, but you can’t continue the same formula for ever. Now Andrew has his own channel, still great to watch, but a little less magic than before.
It think Andrew is gifted with a great, almost hypnotic voice, and im not even a native English speaker but a Dutchy. But when you keep doing the same thing over and over again, that magic will be lost anyway. So, welcome the new, and stop wining about the past!!!
Nice video
is this rishi sunak??
I was first surprised by how Andrew’s voice had changed. Then, I checked the channel name. 😅
That speed master 🙌
I shed a single tear at 5:57.
Bravo, Jack!
you should add A. Lange Sohne
Mortgage took a heavy toll there. But great collection anyway!!
Top Gear was never the same after Jeremy.........
Condoglianze... :-(
Nice gathering of ticking gizmos. Forget the IWC and the Rolex and do your best to get another Polaris. That is a hell of a watch for a reasonable price preowned. And, if I may, considering the various price range, a Maen Manhattan 37 would do a great impression amongst the others. I have one and I must admit it, for that price it is really a stunner. Or any Studio Underd0g, for what I am concerned. Climbing a little the price stair I do genuinely think a Paul Picot Yachtman is a great bargain. Beware of dimensions: 43 mm in diameter but a proper diver, chunky and opulent, and the best eye catching bracelet I've ever seen.
Edit: Yes. I do wrote opulent. 😊
Have you seen the maen in real life? How is the quality? The accuracy?
@@mrparkx2 I do own a Maen Manhattan 37 and what I wrote is real. For me at least. Light, elegant, thin, a perfect integrated dress watch but that doesn't hate to be dressed down, the case finishing is really good (for the price) and gives that premium whiff that the PRX struggle a lot to get, the dial is well thought and the stripes catches light with a nice effect yet remaining readable. The only downside, is the bracelet, well done and finished, but a little bit on the too much slim side for me. To be honest it blends perfectly with the case, but I would have liked to be a tad beefer. Accuracy is good, but please note I keep it in rotation with others so it doesn't bother me if it lose or gain some seconds per day. For what I am concerned it had never disappointed me, runs smooth and reliably. After all, the Sellita 200 inside is a proven workorse. And if you are patient enough you can do real bargains on the second market. I wrote patient because there are not so much for sale, who has it will keep it or sell it for near brand new prices.
You should add a richard mille
What did you guys do to Tom???
Watchfinder - you need to bring Jack up through the ranks as Andrew did with Tom.
Tom is well worth a listen - he has his own style. And I'd really like to see Tom's collection as I suspect it'd be less predictable and more attainable.
FOIS is still a classic for me!
It's not a sacrifice to sell a watch to fund a mortgage. Well done you. You can't live in a watch
Hi Jack
I miss talking hands and him talking about watches. Hello talking hands 2.0
Ignore the naysayers. Keep doing the grind. You are going great.
RUclips are filled with petty fan girls. 🙄
Keep up the good work.
Get a Grand Seiko.
I think we have a progress…😂
Tom is the only right narrator for this channel
Junghans Meister or Max Bill
Take it easy guys. Give the guy a break. Welcome to the team Jack
he got himself a tiso and tuda 🤣
Since your wrist is tiny, how about a Tudor BB54?
