interestingly, if you buy a Samsung galaxy, they give you a USB c both sides wire as they assume you will want to use it to transfer from old to new phone. don't bin it once your done as it will be your best friend should you get one these vehicles.

I have a check list for changing the dashboard from mph to km/h etc BUT there is no clear explanation for changing your dipped beam for driving on the other side of the road. It offers the choice of left hand traffic and right hand traffic, but which one is correct for the UK ve France? BTW, your videos are extremely helpful and informative, keep them coming,

When I'm driving with my GLA 2022 and using cruise control, I regularly get the message to keep my hands on the steering wheel, although my both hands are on the steering wheel. So I presume the hands must be on a certain sector of the steering wheel, or make contact with some sensors. So could you please inform me where to keep the hands to prevent this happening again ? If you reset make sure u understand the language installed on the car originally 😊 i live in Belgium 🇧🇪 my car was imported from Denmark😮 not a language I understand really….
Ah perfect 👍🏼 So on the steering wheel closest to the door, use the black touchpads and home buttons. Press the home button, swipe the touchpad left/right to service, click the touchpad in and then you can select and view the Engine Oil Level. Once done, press the back button and swipe to Trip (that’s the most common display people use). Hope that helps!

Hey Lars, ah don’t worry, resetting a multimedia system does not lose functionality, it just resets settings back to factory defaults. Of course make sure your car is linked to your Mercedes me account (hopefully it is anyway)

Hey Penelope, thank you! Yes there is a setting on vehicle settings that you can toggle but if that’s not working I’d definitely say get in touch with your local Mercedes. I’m not 100% sure a reset would do it, but you could try. Hopefully they’ll get it sorted for you!

Hey Manuel, that would be good but sadly most manufacturers don’t release a list of things that come out on updates like that. I know…complete opposite compared to say like an iPhone or Android. Typically any updates for MBUX that need to be done will be completed over the air automatically. These sadly (to date) don’t add features, I’d imagine they’d be bug fixes or security fixes etc. You can however see the map version you’re on though on the Sat Nav under settings and on Mercedes me.

Hey Stanislav, hmmm I have seen this on most Sat Nav’s before (Google, Garmin, Mercedes & even TomTom) where Postcodes only take you to the area. They very rarely take you to the exact spot that you’re actually travelling too. Is that the bit you meant with postcodes in general?
Hey Manjush, really sorry until your message I hadn’t heard of them before so wouldn’t be able to say if it’s worth it or not. There are many ways to keep a car’s paint in good condition but it’s what level would be right for you. Quite often weekly cleans are good for most, but sometimes people might want to use polish, use waxes, clay bars, professional cleans from detailers and even paint protection applications. Guess it depends how much you’d want to spend and how shiny you’d like your car!

Hey Chris, ah Mercedes me change this from time to time and it varies from model to model. Some have a red one, some have a blue one. Sadly you can’t choose the background, it just changes automatically on special occasions etc. In winter I remember there was snow and I do remember seeing some leaves once or something like that for autumn.

Yes I’d love to make a video on this soon, it’s something Mercedes has brought out recently. There’s a thing called the entertainment package on some cars where you can either pay monthly or pay upfront to use the car’s data to stream music. Just user preference if you wanted to use your phone or use the car. It will vary though from car to car so I’ll need to do some research for MBUX NTG 6 (your one from the sounds of it) and the newer generation MBUX NTG 7 (after facelift)
Hey M Wo, I wasn’t planning to make a video on just ambient lighting as varies depending on the car’s design. Some models have it in the vents, some in the panels, some both and some lighting strips that go all the way round your peripheral vision. Which model do you have?
Ah yes GLC’s are the same as C-Class’s they have a more subtle approach to Ambient Lighting round the car from what I’ve seen. Usually just underneath panels and door handles etc

Hey Susan, just double check you have a subscription to Mercedes me (the app). Normally in the UK you get access to Mercedes me free for the first 3 years from the car’s registration date. If you get stuck though, contact Mercedes me Support from the app and they’ll be able to advise! 🤓 It’s in Menu, Help, Contact Support. Hope that helps! 🤓
Hello Nick, I bought my gorgeous 9 year old E 250 CDI last September from my dentist. He didn't clear or reset anything. I decided to call my local M-B dealer as I had a few questions so I threw that one in. The guy advised me leave it just incase the navigation system had been updated, he said it might take it right back to factory settings without the updates. Any thoughts?
Hey Alex, I wouldn’t have thought that would do that however really sorry I’m not that clued up on one’s from 2010-2013. I know the 2014 ones that wouldn’t be the case, however if you’ve had it since September I’m sure you’ll be fine 🤓 so don’t worry about resetting it, you can manually delete the previous owner’s phone anyway and overwrite their radio presets etc 🤓
I’ve owned my 2022 GLB for 6 weeks now. I can’t turn the radio Off! How? I can turn down the sound or turn off the entire MBUX system. It switches to SXM or the songs on my phone just fine. But once I turn them off it goes to the radio.
Hey fishbutt58, MBUX always has something playing but you can do a few things depending on your preference. 1) Turn the radio down or mute (but it will always start low when you turn the car back on) 2) Select MEDIA & then USB (providing you don’t have anything plugged in, it’ll start silently) 3) On the volume button in the middle of the car, if you didn’t know, it’s also a button. If you hold it for a couple of seconds, you can either switch off or turn the display off. Hope that helps!
Hi I have a 2021 A class and my start stop works poorly I was told when I bought the car I had to drive it daily to charge the battery and disconnect the dash cam. BUT as an older person I only drive about 80 km a week Mercedes me shows battery charged can you help Isaac
Hey Mannie, there can be a number of reasons why start/stop functions may not work from the temperature outside, to engine temperature, use of A/C. If you think something’s not right though, get in touch with your local Mercedes and I’m sure they’ll be able to help! 🤓

Hey Johan & Onkel, can’t say I’ve played content from USB’s too much. However the shuffle button is available once you’ve hit play, so if you play an album or something from a folder, there’s the shuffle button on the Now Playing Screen. Is that the one you mean? It’s really small at the bottom if I remember.
On Bluetooth? Yes you can 🤓 But you have to change the name on your iPhone Settings General About Once you’ve done this, unpair your car from Bluetooth and unpair it from your phone reconnect it back up 🤓

USB-C and 12v sockets are the way to go for dashcams There are always other methods via the fuse box but just go careful as that could if installed incorrectly cause a fuse to blow

Hey Dima, if you’re removing a car from your own account, on the Mercedes me app press MENU (top left) Tap on your car Remove Vehicle However if it’s on someone else’s you won’t be able to do this yourself, just contact your local Mercedes and they’ll be able to assist
You should be able to (for the UK) sorry hard to tell where everyone is from as it varies massively round the world. Mercedes me kind of exists for pretty much all Mercedes 2015 or newer 🤓

Hey seren1tyFX, Ah that’s easy to sort, sounds like the previous owner forgot to unlink it. If you get in touch with your local Mercedes, they can give you a hand and help swap it over. You’ll just need proof of ownership and ID. In the UK that’s a V5 document and driving licence as an example 🤓

Hey James, GLE’s charging speeds vary depending or not if it’s plugged into single phase vs 3-phase due to the cable and on board AC charging system. I called my local Mercedes’ and they said that if I didn’t buy it from them they aren’t able to help me connect Mercedes’ me. I’ve had the 2021 MERCEDES BENZ A220 for 9 months. Have never been able to connect it :(
I don’t own a Mercedes’ but I think you have to go on ur phone or pc and type in ur Mercedes’ me account or make one then after that I think you find the model of your car on ur phone or laptop or connect it via car or car through Bluetooth but As I said I don’t have a Mercedes’ so I might be wrong but try it out

Good day Nick How do you reset your profile in the W206 C-Class? When I first registered it gave you a voice command for unlocking your MBUX-profile but forgot what the voice command was. Resetting the profile will help I suppose.
Ah that command was “Hey Mercedes, load my personal profile”. If you tap on the profile selector at the top, there was like a thing called Set Up Assistant which took you through the steps again.

Hey M Wo, I wasn’t planning to make a video on just ambient lighting as varies depending on the car’s design. Some models have it in the vents, some in the panels, some both and some lighting strips that go all the way round your peripheral vision.
Which model do you have?

Ah yes GLC’s are the same as C-Class’s they have a more subtle approach to Ambient Lighting round the car from what I’ve seen. Usually just underneath panels and door handles etc

Good Afternoon I have problem with my sat nav after my car have hitter box replace ( MB service remove all dashboard ) my augmented reality sat nav not working is just normal basic MB sat nav now. Any advance how to fix this problem pleas. Best Regards Tomasz

Hi Nick, I got a new iPhone and downloaded Mercedes me app but it will say my car is unlocked, but I can’t lock it remotely from my phone bc it says my remote is disabled? Is that bc I now use an IPhone instead of Android? How do I correct it? Thanks for any help.
Hey Susan, just double check you have a subscription to Mercedes me (the app). Normally in the UK you get access to Mercedes me free for the first 3 years from the car’s registration date.
If you get stuck though, contact Mercedes me Support from the app and they’ll be able to advise! 🤓

Hello Nick, I bought my gorgeous 9 year old E 250 CDI last September from my dentist. He didn't clear or reset anything. I decided to call my local M-B dealer as I had a few questions so I threw that one in. The guy advised me leave it just incase the navigation system had been updated, he said it might take it right back to factory settings without the updates. Any thoughts?
Hey Alex, I wouldn’t have thought that would do that however really sorry I’m not that clued up on one’s from 2010-2013. I know the 2014 ones that wouldn’t be the case, however if you’ve had it since September I’m sure you’ll be fine 🤓 so don’t worry about resetting it, you can manually delete the previous owner’s phone anyway and overwrite their radio presets etc 🤓
I’ve owned my 2022 GLB for 6 weeks now. I can’t turn the radio Off! How? I can turn down the sound or turn off the entire MBUX system. It switches to SXM or the songs on my phone just fine. But once I turn them off it goes to the radio.
Hey fishbutt58, MBUX always has something playing but you can do a few things depending on your preference.
1) Turn the radio down or mute (but it will always start low when you turn the car back on)
2) Select MEDIA & then USB (providing you don’t have anything plugged in, it’ll start silently)
3) On the volume button in the middle of the car, if you didn’t know, it’s also a button. If you hold it for a couple of seconds, you can either switch off or turn the display off.

Hi I have a 2021 A class and my start stop works poorly I was told when I bought the car I had to drive it daily to charge the battery and disconnect the dash cam. BUT as an older person I only drive about 80 km a week Mercedes me shows battery charged can you help Isaac
Hey Mannie, there can be a number of reasons why start/stop functions may not work from the temperature outside, to engine temperature, use of A/C. If you think something’s not right though, get in touch with your local Mercedes and I’m sure they’ll be able to help! 🤓

One more question please. How do you play tracks from a certain folder on a USB-drive randomly?
I noticed if you choose to play random, it plays random through all the songs on the USB-drive, and not just the folder you intended.

I recognized this behaviour too. For me I use playlists as workaround. Random play on playlists works.
Hey Johan & Onkel, can’t say I’ve played content from USB’s too much. However the shuffle button is available once you’ve hit play, so if you play an album or something from a folder, there’s the shuffle button on the Now Playing Screen. Is that the one you mean? It’s really small at the bottom if I remember.

USB-C and 12v sockets are the way to go for dashcams
There are always other methods via the fuse box but just go careful as that could if installed incorrectly cause a fuse to blow

Hey Dima, if you’re removing a car from your own account, on the Mercedes me app press
MENU (top left)
Tap on your car
Remove Vehicle
However if it’s on someone else’s you won’t be able to do this yourself, just contact your local Mercedes and they’ll be able to assist

Ah that’s easy to sort, sounds like the previous owner forgot to unlink it.
If you get in touch with your local Mercedes, they can give you a hand and help swap it over.
You’ll just need proof of ownership and ID. In the UK that’s a V5 document and driving licence as an example 🤓

Hi Nick, I recently purchased a GLE Coupe 350de . I am struggling to get it to charge at 7kw at home even though it will charge at higher rates at service stations etc. I have searched lots of sites but can’t find a solution . Any advice ? Cheers James
Hey James, GLE’s charging speeds vary depending or not if it’s plugged into single phase vs 3-phase due to the cable and on board AC charging system.

I called my local Mercedes’ and they said that if I didn’t buy it from them they aren’t able to help me connect Mercedes’ me. I’ve had the 2021 MERCEDES BENZ A220 for 9 months. Have never been able to connect it :(
I don’t own a Mercedes’ but I think you have to go on ur phone or pc and type in ur Mercedes’ me account or make one then after that I think you find the model of your car on ur phone or laptop or connect it via car or car through Bluetooth but As I said I don’t have a Mercedes’ so I might be wrong but try it out
@@lodgerplayz_games you can create the account, but to link the Mercedes me account with your actual car need to be done by the Mercedes dealer.

How do you reset your profile in the W206 C-Class? When I first registered it gave you a voice command for unlocking your MBUX-profile but forgot what the voice command was. Resetting the profile will help I suppose.
Ah that command was “Hey Mercedes, load my personal profile”.
If you tap on the profile selector at the top, there was like a thing called Set Up Assistant which took you through the steps again.
