- In this video, we're off our couch wrapping up our fall trip to Destin, Florida and the Emerald Coast. This time we're heading to The Boardwalk at Okaloosa Island in the beautiful Ft. Walton Beach Area. London tries the all you can eat shrimp at Floyd's Shrimp House. We check out the crystal clear waters of the Gulf Coast from the shore as well as the Island Pier as we spot rays, a multitude of fish, and even a shark!

Destin is the luckiest fishing village in the world.
It really is nuts fishing there! I am going to post a short of fish hundreds of fish just going berserk jumping out of the water and schooling. We were shocked. We had a good time watching people reel them in. ~ London
Does Sam's Oyster House still exist in FWB?? We all loved the food there

Yeah, try going in June - August. It looks like raw sewage with dead fish everywhere thanks to Monsanto's Round Up and fertilizer running off into the ocean. They won't tell you and you will waste big money going there. BEWARE. They don't clean the dead fish or the stinky sludge off the beaches either. Okaloosa Island is being ran by sociopaths who enjoy making people suffer.
I lived in Fort Walton Beach about 40 years ago. My dad was stationed at Eglin AFB and we lived in town.
Nice!!! We love that area, I was Air Force as well and spent a little time at Eglin. I miss living on the Emerald Coast it was nice. We love vacationing out there now whenever we get a chance. Thanks so much for watching and commenting! ~ London

My family stayed on Okaloosa Island, FL the week of Thanksgiving 2021, we might have seen each other in our travels! 😊 Words cannot express the beauty and tranquility of the Gulf Coast at Okaloosa Island. It was mesmerizing and I too took so many pictures but they can’t do the beach here justice. Everyone should have Okaloosa Island on your vacation bucket list. When we do visit this island again, it will be when the weather is warmer and the gulf is warmer. It was 60-65 degrees while we were there, and as much as we tried, the water was just too cold to enjoy. Excellent video, thank you for sharing!
We just missed you guys! We were there until the 11th then had to run south to film Siesta Key. I wish we could've stayed longer though, Lol! We both agree with you about the water being WAY TOO COLD! Surprisingly, this was one of the warmer days for us. The water was still TOO COLD, Lol! I'd love to try August or September. Can you tell me how cold the ocean is there in June?
When we went in June a few years back, the water was pretty warm. It’s normally in the 80s but the temperature can range from 75 to 88 from what I read on the water temperature websites. Hope that helps and thanks so much for watching!
