I find it hard not to take play styles like that personally, to me it's basically saying "you don't get to play the game." I'm glad Nummy was able to navigate past mono counters
Fun deck! @27:40 you sacrifice Utopia Sprawl instead of hopeless nightmare - I noticed a in a few of your games you bring up not bargaining Hopeless Nightmare to get the scry effect and was wondering if you might have misread it and not realized that sacrificing it in any way gives you the scry effect, you don't have to use it's ability to get it. (Unless I am missing something here?) Thanks for the cool games! EDIT: Leaving this up n case anyone else is confused by this play - pretty sure he just didn't want to scry first then shuffle his deck from the effect which would just waste the scry. Missed that!
Ah yes.. I was thinking that also like WTF is he doing.. But right - the shuffle messes up the scry.. Still bit questionable if scry is worth not hawing the mana and a bargain chit for later .. but could be.
Dude the opponent with the counterspells. I dont necessarily hate the control deck but that kind of deck mixed with op's playstyle would make me lose my shit, roping almost everyturn with obvious decisions. Props on you for being patient and beating him
Agreed. A lot of comments seem to be praising that game, but I found it pretty tedious to watch. Decks with mono counters or removal suck the fun out of the game for me, since I'm often stuck watching the op play instead of being able to participate.
1:23:25 This game was super SUPER close ! If i'm not mistaken, this is how you could win : NUMOT TURN - Don't use Prophetic Prism - Activate Restless Fortress and attack with everything : - OP got 7 life. Restless damage for 3, Witch for 2. You have also 2 wicked role so he could only kill one : Gluton kills Horseman. Specter blocks tokens and cookie blocks Syr Armont. ==> OP got 1 life and you have 9* + food token so 12 and he could attack with only 10. *Land also gives you 2 life, game changer to stay alive OP TURN => OP draws Scavenger - He coudln't play Scavenger because even if he didn't attack, Fortress kills him. - So just create food and go back to 7 life and no attack NUMOT TURN - Using Prophetic + Hopeless + Land (Ghotto to get Wurm next turn) - Attack with Syr Armont + Witch. OP trades Gluton for Armont and keep Redcap, his last creature. - OP got 3 life and you sitll have 9 + food. OP TURN He draws ambush and play Scavenger. Numot TURN - Attack with Witch and Fortress. - OP had to double block on Witch with Redcap + Scavenger, still losing 3 life and dead
i think one mistake on the final game was to not use the restless fortress that turn you did nothing at all. Dealing 2 and gaining 2 both thretens lethal much more with removal and makes you a bit safe (you would have survived the final turn), and given the high cost of 5 mana (4+the fortress being animated) you hardly can ever play something else with it. I'm not sure you would have decided it was the right play but it was at least worth considering anyways it was a fun run, i would have never guessed that this deck could reach 6 wins, spellbook vendor is crazy op
Yo I literally just played a game against you. I was playing Golgari and you ran me over with Eriette of the Charmed Apple. You used collector's vault to dig for a monstrous rage to win a fight from my Rootrider faun and I never recovered. Looking forward to seeing the video of it now haha
this was a damn hard difficutl draft for you. i understand. But most picks i would rather chosed differently. Cause especially at the pack 3, where you had h. glutton and that green champion card. Why didn't took him? you needed top end here and this card is nuts. Played it three times and allweays when he entered, i in long term won the game (100%)
@@RockThisCrib No. People used to complain below his videos because he was saying that green was bad and he wouldn't draft it. Of course he was exaggerated and trolly (and he explained why in these same videos). Since everybody was being caustic, now he's trolling them by overexaggerating the other way around :) God, I feel so bad for having to explain it.
27:51 that was worst play i have ever seen you do. just sac the hopeless nightmare for the bargain and you would have had more mana more damage and scryed the same amount
That 5-counter game at 40:05 had me rolling. Incredibly fun game to watch.

@@tritownsound For me, its not abt the playing style, its how slow he plays. He is obviously too stupid to play a blue deck.
babe wake up new nummy just dropped

you got it right in the edit

1:20:26 The top deck so brutal makes Kenji blurred

A hour in...it's gh-gh-gh-ghost Kenji!
The first opponent's deck was pretty funny

yep I was mad
I love the GB(W) aerie decks, was fun to watch! I remember going for it in my first sealed, I had like 3 skybeast trackers and it was pretty grindy!
That Hopeless Nightmare pick over 2 solid removals was not expected...
big hearts for our hero playing Gryfinndor when they're on the ranking bubble
Censored Nummy its the best Nummy xd
1:04:14 num phases out
Marty McFly needs to make things right ASAP!
First oppo is a big fan of siege warfare.
Game 5 was cool with you playing around the counter❤

22:56 would you have lethal if you animated the food to a 4/4 and attacked, vendor triggering putting a role on food ?
that's what I was talking about, but I'm 1 mana short
grapple 3/3, animate food, need 1 more mana for vendor :(
@@NumotTheNummyYT you are right i missed the vendor trigger cost 1 mana :D

you should probably turn off 'Auto blur' on your webcam ;P ... nice games :)
The house of hyldapuff still needs love
I see a Griffin Aerie thumbnail, I click

I love Kenji trolling on those whining about green in the earlier videos
Um, he was one of those guys early on. Vocally.

I think archivist is way better than tough cookie!
Since when did green become the best colour. XD I thought numot hates green.
Vendor was a mistake… do not do it. Miss great cards in you main colors not worth it
Sacrificing utopia sprawl over nightmare makes no sense to me.
You immediately shuffle so you just waste the scry.
too many lands
If u sac the hopeless nightmare for the bargain it scry anway
Then the brave shuffles the deck and the scry goes away.
27:51 that was worst play i have ever seen you do. just sac the hopeless nightmare for the bargain and you would have had more mana more damage and scryed the same amount
I don't scry the same amount. I scry AND THEN SEARCH for a land, effectively making it a scry 0
Oof. I hope you get the notification for his response lol.
awkward
nice way to expose yourself as a bronze player 😂
you need watch more videos if that's what you think his worst play is
