Thank you for making this video! I have a 2012 tundra 4.6L at 130k miles. I had codes p2442, p2447. I ordered parts from Amazon had after watching this video had it done in 2.5 hours with no experience. Thanks again for making this video!
Saib, I had same probelm and changed bank 1 and 2 valves. Code said pump 1. I noticed some debris (looked like open cell foam residue) in the bank 1 valve inlet. Any idea where that could be from? Also once I replaced the bank 1 and 2 valves, truck seems to running fine, with no check engine lights. Should I still check the two pumps?
When drive in the rain and snow the pump suck the moisture in to the pump then send it to the valve mixed with hot air intake that's where it came from and that cause the valve and the pump failure
my 2nd bank valve is stuck open can i install the new valve with out having to mess with the air pump or do i have to remove the air pump to check for water like you did? And Did you had to replace the air pump with a new one or did you just drained the water and installed it back on?
The took both air pumps apart bank one is rusty the brush holder almost breakoff then I have to replace with new pump , bank two looks good I just drain the water and clean it then the tuck works great powerful

Thanks, do you think the valve can be cleaned? And could you give a link where can be bought the valve and pump? Thanks very much!
No you can not clean the valve, but you can clean the pump, I bought it from O'Reilly Auto parts they stock it
@@saibntugmuag5189 thank you. In the meanwhile I have watched a lot more vids and realised I have a 5.7L sooooo.... A hell lot of work... :/

You should inspect the air pump and drain the water if there is any otherwise it will happen again

2nd bank is on other side
@@jonathanaleman6384 yes, 2nd bank is on the passenger side
If it’s the bank 1 than is the driver side valve? P02440
Yes, driver side
What was the part number on the valve you replaced?
When u put everything back. Did you just turn it on? How do you clear the code?
Have too clear the code,
Nice video👍 I saw another video where they just drill holes in the boots to drain the water and prevent filling again
That's a good idea
Thank you for showing it
How is this repair holding up? Still going strong?
Yes, the problem solved , still powerful
I changed the 2 pump end the checking cam on end I got the same code end say the 2 pumps are off
Had you clear the code if you did It can be the secondary air Valve stuck not the pump
What are symptoms of bad valves and secondary pumps ?
No power and feel like the transition in 2nd gear
