Great piece of work and without a single electric tool which shows respect to those old pieces of wood, which most probably havent seen and will never experience an electric tool.❤

I recently discovered your videos and have watched all of them from the beginning. Now that I am retired and have time to work on projects I particularly enjoy watching you work on your projects. I have learned a great deal from you. You remind me of my dad. He had a workshop in the basement and was a master cabinet maker before he went into business. There’s something particularly satisfying about seeing the care and thought that you give to each project. Your finished work is absolutely beautiful. I do hope that you continue to make videos in the future. Thanks for sharing all that you have in the past. Best wishes to you and your family.

Thanks for your note and kind comments. I enjoy sharing my projects with other woodworkers. I produce videos at a snail’s pace, but it’s fun hearing from fellow woodworkers when I do. Best regards and please visit us again!

This is a wonderful video showing the steps in making a very simple yet elegant box using recycled wood. This type of video is even better because it is not filled with
self-aggrandizing philosophical baloney or obnoxious music. Thank you for sharing your work.

Great to see your work again Ken. And boxes are always a lovely project and from such interesting wood. I think I asked you before whether you have a shooting board for squaring up those board ends. No sign of one here. Makes such an easy job of it and even more importantly a good excuse for buying more planes. Thanks again for showing us all your working.

I’m crazy about boxes….I think it shows. So far, I’ve managed without a shooting board but they really are useful in the workshop. One of these days. Thank you for the visit.

I wish I had some chestnut. I remember the plant ID lab we took to our mountians in NC many years ago in my forestry class. There were dead chestnut trees lying all about that most of the wood was naturally presearved after many years. Blame the chestnut blight. Castania dentata, not bad after 45 years huh.
