Your info on swapping headlights is Very Helpful. Thank you so much for sharing all your experiences. I must admit I find your humor hard to take. But it's you and your show. But, the useful info throughout your presentation is well worth enduring it. Thanks!

Yup, another case of old rubber, how many more old rubber parts are in need of replacement in that car. My old 1966 Mustang, it needs all new rubber. Haha, Mike, you needed a change of rubber gloves also.
You are really something. So calm, cool, relaxed and knowledgeable in what you do on one of the roughest to work on cars you could have picked IMO but I love it. You make a fantastic professor of the trade. Students would flock in from all the areas you mentioned and beyond. Seriously, I admire the stuff you take on and you're funny. Great performance as always ,. Now it's my turn. Have had some anxiety about switching on my 86 560SEC. But after your brilliant performance, I'll get started. Regards From Norway. Dag Nilsen..
I changed the motor mounts on a 65 Oldsmobile Culass Supreme years ago. It wasn't to bad but I borrowed a buddy's engine puller which helped a lot. It's a lot better when you have a large garage to work in.
Checking in Mike. Please, don't bee a stranger. RANDY just pulled apart a MB/Crossfire trans. Gotta give him lots of credit. I did think of you while watching him. Take care buddy! Sonny (CT)
@@MonkeyWrenchMike yes I want to ask you I have a 1990 Mercedes-Benz 560 sec sometimes I get a gas smell do you have that problem, I change the plugs and wires the belts distributor cap oh by the way you don't have to spend that expensive money on plugs wires and all that stuff Bosch makes the same stuff a lot cheaper my car runs fine.
It would seem logical that the issue with you vacuum economy gauge is that two of the vacuum lines that feed it have got switched around so it's reacting to pressure rather than vacuum. That doesn't mean that you've made the mistake, it could be something that someone has done in the past, but usual fault-finding procedure is to start from the most recent alteration and work from there...
I nearly cracked it watching that vid , yo nearly forgot down under . Fairdinkum you wold have copped some €+÷£ if you had Keep up the great vids Mike we can all relate to your auto dramas Chris
Did you think about changing that Allen bolt to a standard metric bolt? I did that on my diesels after having to replace several motor mounts over the years. Future owners will think kindly of me, I hope.
If, it's hitting due to compressed motor mounts, why does it "rattle" when you push down on the shroud. I would think it would "rattle" and stop when you pushed down.
Great to hear the hail Mary prayer again! It's funny how religion comes into play when dealing with cars. Something goes wrong. "please god let this fix it" Haha Great video Mike! Have a great day!!
There are Allen wrenches that have a ball on the end for that angle you we’re working on. I can’t believe you put that heat shield back on nasty as it is.
Well Mike total respect for taking that job on those mount's can be a real pig to do especially when working in a tight space and if like me your mind is willing but your body saying something else because we're the wrong side of 30 something years tends to appear more and more often. Mike, please please please, can you get the rest of that sound deadening off the underside of the bonnet, it looks like spinach on the teeth of a beauty queen. :-)
Hey Mike. My indie wants $150.00 labor to change both mounts on my W123 which is the same as on the W126. Do you think it is worth paying him compared to the headache of doing it yourself????
Tonnes of respect for tackling a dirty, nasty job....the camera work was a bit dodgy (understandably) and you were cracking up at the end...but well done anyway!!
Who is the Allen you speak of, and what do you have against his bolts???? I think we need to hear form him about your biased commentary!!! LOL Great video Mike!
Don't worry, Jesus was the first Jewish stand up comedian and I think he understands your attempt at trying to be funny. BTW you should always be sure you're in a safe place during lightning storms. ;-)
