Wowzers - that's a proper mountain and the views from the summit are only for the brave. I was half expecting to hear "Vertigo" by U2 once you were at the summit.
Nice video but not the Heather Terrace! That was the Cwm Tryfan route to the 'col' at Bwlch Cwm Tryfan - can understand you thinking it was the Heather Terrace because there's so much of it - it's really beautiful in late summer. The Heather Terrace is the visible path that crosses the East face of Tryfan about halfway up the face. To get to it you needed to take the stepped path from the camp site into Cwm Tryfan keeping to the east of Tryfan Bach (the climbing slab just off the A5). At the top of the steps turn right at the stile and head towards the North Ridge but turn left before reaching the ridge to find the Heather Terrace - it can be a bit difficult to find. Anyway, well done and thanks for sharing those wonderful views!
Hi Jeff - glad you enjoyed the Video and taking the time to explain the Heather Terrace Route - still on my list to do and this helps a lot. I did the North face again last year; one of my favourite places such a great Mountain. Hopeful we can all get out and about very soon. Take Care and thanks again for the info 👍
That looks a truly excellent walk and a stand alone mountain...Ive heard a lot about it so would like to do it when I return to Wales for a break. Loved the view of the lake below from.the top, looked spectacular. You had a terrific morning for it. Spot on video.ATB Mark.
Mark Thompson First Mountain i walked - then got the bug - big time. FYI - there’s 2 Y Garn (which I found out) the one further down this valley and another smaller one on the Nantlle Ridge route which is also on my channel. ATB
Gwern gof isaf is a crackin site. Did you see marmalade and eddy, The farm cats. Done a few videos from that campsite. Mountain rescue use the site to park up and practice rescues. We where heading for that campsite the other weekend, but storm callum put a stop to that one. Thanks for sharing 😊
Billy Sherratt Thanks for watching Billy - yes it’s a really great site and the weather that day will amazing. Storm Callum would have been a bit different on the top of Tryfan - probably wouldn’t have attempted. Cheers ATB Mark.
Wow that looked a really tough final scramble up to the top, but what fantastic views, such a reward. Glorious day for it as well. Fantastic video really enjoyed watching. All the best Sarah & Andrew :)
Awesome video mate, love the look of the camp site too, some stunning views along the walk, just you, Adam and Eve at the top. Don't blame you for not jumping across them , even in a group I'd probably pass on that haha. Great walk, stunning place , all the best 👍
Did you hear that Cuckoo Lee at 2.26 onward. A nice sound to start Mark alongside all the other glorious sounds and sun. You sure did get the weather as did them runners. I think your ascent was magical mate - I certainly did get a load of it. You were getting into that. perfect! All the best. Mark
Wye Explorer Thanks Mark - I’ll have to listen again - I left the best to the Summit - you’ll have the checkout My Shoutout. Did a bit of Rock Hugging 👍 for Paul. ATB Mark.
Yes a nice cuckoo there. I will have to check that out. Rock hugging is certainly a good thing. Appreciating the healing earth - I sound like a hippy but it's true!
I’m glad he had a fine day to enjoy an iconic mountain but from the footage he never got on to the heather terrace which is easily defined by a line that runs along the base of the cliffs on the east face of Tryfan. By the way jumping from Adam to Eve ( highly dangerous) bestows on you the Freedom of Tryfan.
Truly a beautiful place! Quit a climb... What was the elevation gain on that one? No way I could do that one with my knee. I would pay dearly with the pain.
Fantastic day for Tryfan, and not a breath of air....can't beat it Mark...great video :-)
007vauxhall Cheers Paul - was a cracking day and what a spot to camp. ATB Mark.
It’s a heck of a mountain. With many ways up! Brill vid! I couldn’t even climb up Adam and Eve! Amazing footage. Well done

Gaziano Outdoors Cheers Gaz - had a great time; really recommend the camp site. ATB Mark.
Did you have to pay to use the camo site? And is the south approach better than the north ?
