    I love that you're giving these bottles a chance!!! I can't declutter for the life of me, but I do spend a lot of time feeling sorry for the ones I don't wear. Thanks for bringing these into the light! (I bought What About Pop recently, and to my nose it's more floral than gourmand. BUT. I haven't chosen a scent for today yet, and I'm going to go spritz that one. Thanks for the inspiration!) Great video. It's almost an ANTI-declutter. I think your point is super valid - although it's important to love what we have, our preferences and tastes DO change, and rather than re-purchasing fragrances we've decluttered, sometimes it's nice to keep them and rediscover them. xo

      Great concept name Julija....anti-declutter...love it. I might use this title next time, so clever 💖

    Ooh I love Amande Tonka! I have a 5ml decant and it's gorgeous, I would totally buy a bottle if it was still available as it's such a lovely cosy, warming scent. I have bought a few new bottles recently and so am selling a couple that I know I won't reach for. I try to stick to 50 bottles as that way it limits how little I wear any (aside from seasonal reasons), above that and I know I will end up with bottles I don't wear much at all.

      I would love to narrow my collection to 50 bottles, just not sure if it’s possible at this point 😍

    I used to have a really hard time decluttering but I’ve gotten brutal over the past year or so because having so many bottles did give me joy anymore. It was giving me anxiety instead. I buy a lot more samples and decants now and only buy unless I really love something. I want to get down to maybe 60 bottles. I think 30 warm weather and 39 cool weather should be more than enough for me. I felt stressed and overwhelmed when I couldn’t even remember what I owned. I’d keep Feve though because it’s becoming harder to find and you can always sell it later for more money. I really enjoy your videos Emy.

      I would love to get down to 60 or even 100, not sure how to do it though 😍😂

    Your list is better than most of the recent releases. If Black Tie ever discontinued, I would buy 5 backup bottles. I reach for Black Tie year round!

    I think it’s only natural to have fragrances that get neglected along the way🤔🤔. I remember those Ellie Saab fragrances from COVID times, I searched for them here without success🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️. I have two fragrances that I don’t typically wear often even though I love them, Oud Bouquet and Dom Rosa😉😉.
    So this year I’ve decided to do two monthly trays, just to ensure that I wear every fragrance that I have🤞🏽🤞🏽. I’m going to treat everyday as a special occasion even when I go to the grocery store 😂😂This was so relatable and fun to watch🤩🤩. Stay gorgeous 🥰🥰

    There are some real gems here Emy! It is difficult to make yourself wear some of these treasured fragrances. I understand completely, but I worry that life can be short, and we should wear them maybe at least once a month.
    Have a wonderful weekend Emy! Great video!

    Roses Berberanza is one of my all time favorites. Its amazing. Such a shame that i has been discontinued. I understand the boredom with Roses...not on my end though 😊 i love Roses scents more and more it seems.

      I’ve loved roses for so many years…just taking a little break from them now, I think 😍

    I sympathize with your dilemma, as soon as we reach a large number of bottles it's inevitable that some will not get much used. What is happening for you with rose happened to me with gardenia. I have Elie Saab Gardenia and don't wear it at the moment either. What do I do about it? Not wanting to let go of my unworn perfumes, I'm pretty sure if I sold them I would probably buy new perfumes and I want to avoid this as prices have increased so much.

    I have gone through phases of loving specific notes/categories, then taking a break from them. I don’t declutter them because I do eventually want to wear them again. I did this with rose in the last year and now I am finding myself craving the roses again. I’ve done that with white florals, musks, woody perfumes, vanillas, etc. You are wise to not declutter them right away. It’s just part of being a perfume lover with a collection. 😊

    What About Pop would be a big no for me 😂! I like to eat popcorn but I hate the smell of buttered popcorn.

    I also have Fève and Roses Berberanza and don't wear them, either! But I love both of them, lol. I think we just go through periods of time where other things take precedence. Great video!

    I totally get it Emy! Rose used to be half of my collection and now I have to be in the mood for it… 🤷🏻‍♀️ Same as it goes for living a boring life… 😂 I’ll wear anything in leggings on a Wednesday afternoon working from home but some are off limits… Ani by Nishane being one of them. I feel like I need to be dressed up to wear it and it needs to be dark! 😆 I never go out so… I sniff it and that’s it! 🤦🏻‍♀️

    Wow I have 4 of these that have been collecting dust as well! 😅 Both Elie Saabs, Apollonia and Roses Berberanza. I love them all too. I'm never sure where and when to use Apollonia since it's too light to wear to work and Roses Berberanza is almost too boozy to wear on most occasions!

    • @EmysWorldofFragrance
      @EmysWorldofFragrance  7 месяцев назад

      Yes, I agree, it’s hard to find an occasion to wear both of these

    I think the fact that the Lancôme fragrances are discontinued may contribute to the lack of love they are given. Same with Feve. But like you said sometimes our likes change and that can be a good reason to show love to others we own.

      You make a good point, the fact that they are discontinued probably plays a role here

    I completely relate to this topic and I have the same relationship with Stairway to Heaven. I love it, it’s staying, yet I have to be in the right mood.
    Fueguia set arrived and I’m wowed by the presentation Emy. I love the aesthetic and yesterday I wore Agua Magnolina on my left arm and Darwin on my right. I loved them both! They’re not similar at all but each was beautiful. Question for you is about getting enough oomph from them. Do you overspray? Reapply? They are light and I kept wanting to have wafts throughout the day. I have 3 more to test! I’ll keep you posted!

    • @YS-pt5qr
      @YS-pt5qr 7 месяцев назад +1

      If i may , many of Fueguia perfumes ( about 70 % have this light , evanescent quality mainy because of the restrictive list of notes and the sourcing of the ingredients. But i can not even qualify them as lacking power , the brand is too exquisite and the choices , the artistry , the story, all are 10 on 10 in my opinion. So if certain choices ( more green , florals ) are lacking in the projection departement, spray directly on clothes and wear them after 5 minutes . You won't have that problem with their oud , tobacco , rose or even musks collection though. I have a few bottles in my collection and oh my ! I just love them all.

      Thank you! I am very drawn to this house and I want to choose wisely for my first full bottle so this is very helpful and good to know. It may require a trip to NYC to stop in the boutique and experience more of their options. I have mixed feelings about Quilombo as I wear it longer. Initially I thought it was my #1 but I was very surprised by how much I liked Agua Magnolina. They truly are special and unlike anything else I've tried.@@YS-pt5qr

      All of the ones that I have a very strong. They have amazing silage. People can always smell me before I enter a room when wearing Fueguia.

    Hi Emy I only recently bought What About Pop after trying on my skin and really loving it ( except for the poor longevity). Since I’ve owned it every time I put it on I swear I get this slight urine smell which obviously I didn’t detect when I tested it. I’ve left it for a few weeks but I’m still getting that urine smell. It’s completely put me off wearing it, any ideas why this is happening?

    Thank you for the video! It's funny because when everyone was previously talking about Lancome fragrances (private collection) I had no interest in sampling them. Now, when a few of them have been discontinued I, of course, decided to sample them. One of the samples I ordered is Roses Berberanza. Will see how I like it. I am the opposite, my love for roses has been reignited:) I sold my Amouage Epic Woman because I thought that I no longer liked spicy roses. And now I am craving the scent and other rose scents. I am glad you are back:)
