Indiana Jones had less trouble finding the Holy Grail than I had getting my hands on Babycat!… online, DC, finally New York (of course.) There is something about buying beauty and fashion items in the country of origin. On a day trip from Paris to London, we were robbed on the street while waiting on the bus back to the Regent Street district. So I never made it to the Penhaligan store… I’m American! I could’ve stayed home and been robbed for free! 😂😂😂 I did make it to Jo Malone earlier that day and the usual suspects of Paris (Dior, Hermes, Chanel) All in all, great trip of a lifetime. Nice, to the point video. ❤
Unfortunate events I’m really sorry this happened to you but the way you wrote it cracked me up 😂 hope lots of good luck is coming your way. Lucky New Year 🍀
I truly appreciate you highlighting Vanagloria as a great alternative to Babycat, especially knowing that Dominique Ropion created both ❤❤❤❤. My 10/10 fall fragrance is Vanille Havane by Les Indemodables. It is a date heavy vanilla and tobacco juice. Completely trumps out any other vanilla/tobacco focused fragrance in the market. And it’s got some spices, which you will love. ❤️
Someone said Gris Charnel is like a warm hug on a rainy autumn day and I couldn't agree more. Noir 29 is my all-time favorite LeLabo, it's absolutely fascinating, great choices!
I absolutely L❤VE Babycat! Very seductive & vanilla is decadent. I hope I never run out. I need to sample The Bewitching Yasmine. Thanks for sharing your favorites!
You are Josephine the ultimate Queen of describing fragrances and the illustrations/video clips are always spot on ❤😍 Sometimes I even ”save” your videos to watch them later 🥰 I have actually half of the list’s fragrances: Gris Charnel, L’Eau d’Hiver, By the Fireplace and Babycat. I haven’t wore Babycat yet (only tried it) but I was so lucky that I found it at Harvey Nichols and I got even a small discount 😍 I’m surprised why not many people talk about L’Eau d’Hiver since it’s such an elegant and unique fragrance! I have actually already a second bottle of it and I should have bought the 100ml this time since it’s one of my favourite fragrances beside Gris Charnel etc.. 😅 Other fall/winter favourites are definitely Lune Feline, Angels’ Share, Yesterday Haze (by Imaginary Authours), Rehab, Side Effect, Eyes Closed, Slow Dance, Café Cabanel.. etc the list goes on and on 🙈
@@jusderose Thank you but you deserve all the praise! ❤️ You put so much effort, love and care to your videos. I don’t know how many fragrances I have bought based on your recommendations but many 😄
I have the Gris Charnel extrait which is a bit more masculine smelling and in my opinion even better than the original. It's familiar and cozy but yet a mysterious smelling scent at the same time. Masterfully blended too. Among the best cooler weather scents I've smelled in years.
I have tried samples of both the regular and the extrait. What would you say about projection and longevity? Is there a big difference? Was kinda hard to tell from the samples
Such a nice selection of Fragrances. Gris Charnel and By the Fireplace are my fall and winter staples. This year I‘m also loving Sugar Leather, Fire at will from Jovoy and Mortal Skin from SHL. And I just discovered L‘eau D‘Hiver and I‘m in LOVE with it!
The Noir 29 is phenomenal. While Gris Charnel was too milky for my taste, Noir 29 is the epitome of fall-winter elegance. It is cerebral, elegant, dry, meditative. The only “overpriced” perfume I did not regret spending $ on. Timeless.
Gris Charnel is chef's kiss. I love it! The Noir 29 is on my wishlist, and I'm saving up for it. L'Eau D'hiver is as you described, but it's loved more by my husband. Another big love...By the Fireplace. It's so good!
I wore Bewitching Yasmine in a crowded square in Munich and I had people chasing me down to ask what I was wearing even the sales associates from the perfume store. It’s so sexy !
I would just love a video on who you think does the best discovery sets! Depending on where you live it can be the only way to test luxury fragrances and the sets alone can get pricy. I’ve been wanting to try one but it feels like such a roll of the dice.
You got 500 perfumes and you only use 10 wow girl. You don't have to buy 500 Perfumes to smell good I guess we have to stop buying into that fib. I wonder what 10 your husband loves men are simple to I bet he doesn't like all your favorites if he was honest he probably only like 10 too.
I didn’t like Gris chanel until I retried this fall, it blew my mind. I’m addicted. I layered it with Jo Malone mimosa and cardamom and got my life. Lasted all day. I love bewitching jasmine for very cold fall days to winter. Great selection girl❤
I tried Babycat, and to me that scent it’s beautiful, but it’s not for women, not even for man, it’s for priests 😂 and I love incense very much, i found it sexy, but that was way to much, like i was not in the church but the church 🤣
I have The Bewitching Yasmin and I love it! Are you going to review the Victoria Beckham perfumes? I tried the samples and I find Portofino 97 (turquoise bottle) is excellent, I am in love, the dry down reminds me of a similar touch to Baccarat Rouge but lighter and softer, and better on my skin (not a dupe by any means); San Ysidro Drive (the yellow one) is similar to Scherzo (to my nose), I like it too; and Suite 302 (the white bottle) it is ok but not for me, it feels like very woody and dry (nothing sweet here), to me it leans more masculine. I'd love to see your review!
completely agree with your description of all three! I really liked the Portofino 97 and would love to know how it performs longevity wise as I only had the paper sample
LOVE YOUR LIST (I ALWAYS DO) BAYBYCAT, Alexandria II, NAXOS, RAISED SPIRITS, REHAB, SIDE EFFECT, OUD BOUQUET, ROSENDO MATEU NO5, PLUM IN COGNAC. BLACK OPIUM EXTREME AND LE PARFUM, LA BELLE LE PARFUM, L'INTRDIT ROUGE.
I used to wear it A LOT a few years back. It was another time and I loved it! Today I’ve moved on to other perfumes but that isn’t to say I won’t go back to it

Hi! I don't think there is a right or wrong season to wear perfume... wear whatever makes you heart happy regardless of the season. I do get asked to do seasonal perfume videos and there are some notes that work better in different seasons but as I said wear what you want! To answer you question, Libre intense I wear it all year round but because it's sweeter I opt for it in the evenings in the warmer weather. I know a lot of people though who also enjoy to wear it in the colder months

Hi Jus. Can you make some video , about 2023 designer scents for men . Like for example , JPG Le Male Elixir , Hugo Boss Magnetic and Boss Bottled Elixir , Valentino uomo Born In Roma Intense etc.. good to see you again 💪💪🔥
Hello, first of all thank you so much for all your inspiring videos. I have been bingewatching them over the last weeks. I was wondering what you think about the perfumes of Miller et Bertaux. I have not tried them yet.
Gris charnel is how i discovered i had c0v1d a year ago. Got it as a gift for christmas (travel) and sprayed it enthousiasticly, no not really smell anything.. i was really confused since others could and complimented me. To me, it had close to no smell at all! That s when i figured that I might be the problem. Got very sick a few days after
I recently purchased gris charnel and my colleagues love it so much . (They know when i'm around because it leaves a beautiful trail) .. ❤ Perfect for our weather right now in KSA.. ❤ 🇸🇦
Penhaligons Inimitable William Penhaligon is one of my favorites for cold weather. Something about it reminds me of eating ginger molasses biscuits in a cozy library! I want to try everything of theirs really 😂Also love Gris Charnel and The Noir!
The Princess! I also love your disclaimer at the beginning. I enjoy your sit down videos a ton. Your description of Gris Charnel makes me want to give it a try again..🌸🌸🌸
i have been waiting for a good review of L'Eau d'Hiver for a long time. The Queen has blessed me with this! Will pull the trigger and buy it and hope they have discounts on Black Friday haha
You are the epitome of class to me. You exude youthfulness and sexiness, but you radiate elegance and classiness and sometimes that's just incredibly refreshing and I feel it's becoming a rare quality.

I love Baby Cat and I had a hard time to get my bottle so I’m so afraid to spray it😂Fire Place is beautiful , Chris Chanel is strong for me so I only wear to go bed . Thank you for the great list❤
I enjoy your reviews so much. Lately for the Fall I've been wearing Neela Vermeire's perfumes -- any of them are lovely for Fall and Winter, but I especially enjoy Trayee.
Hm, I would add Dior Amber Nuit and Gris Montaigne, By Killian Angel's Share and Back to Black, Penhaligons' Tragedy of Lord George and Matiere Premiere Bois d'Ebene. 😘 Thank you for the tips! BTW, Santal Basmati from Affinisence is 1st class 👌
I've been spraying Kay Ali Lovefest Burning Cherry! I've also been using Replica Jazz Club as my warm, lasting base to pair with other lighter scents. 🔥🍒
I was so disappointed with Gris Charnel! Very hopeful based on your reviews but not for me. It might be the iris note… Any no fragrance fragrances for fall/winter in particular? Actually, I’d love you to do a whole no fragrance fragrance video!!!
I’m a 1st time viewer & I had to laugh, because I just sprayed myself with Gris Charnel not even 5 minutes before I turned your video on & it was your 1st recommendation 😀
My favorite fall/winter scent is an old one, that I love and use sparingly because it was a limited edition - Burberry Brit Red. I bought decants of By the Fireplace and Lune Feline based on your recommendations, and also Bal d’Afrique, Gozo, Narciso EDT and some others. Now I can blind buy all the perfumes you recommend, because I know I’m gonna love them all 😂. I just received my Carolina Herrera Lucky Charm (the beetle one) and can’t wait to wear it! Also, I intend to get my first Penhaligon’s - my first niche full bottle really. I’m torn between Bewitching Yasmine and Clandestine Clara… Thankfully Sephora carries the brand here, because niche is very hard to find in Brazil… Thanks for all your awesome reviews ❤
Thank you for sharing you fav perfumes. And it's great that you found decants of niche fragrances... but please don't blind buy! Hopefully you can find samples of the Penhaligon's ones. I would also try the world according to arthur... it's a beautiful soft vanilla
May I ask where do you live? I found it at Harvey Nichols in London but of course I was there at the right time and very lucky as well. Otherwise I live in Finland and it’s not possible to get it anywhere here.
I just heard about your channel a week ago and I've watched almost all of your 2023 videos already 😂 i'm obsessed!! You actually helped to consolidate my ever growing "want" list on Fragrantica. Thank you! When you have a chance, would you be able to do a video on what you consider as "masterpiece" fragrances? I know it's a tough standard to talk about, but I want to learn about what an industry expert considers a masterpiece 🙂.
Hi! Thank you for the support 🫶🏼 May I ask how you heard about my channel? Regarding the criteria around masterpiece perfumes I’m going to put a huge disclaimer out there. Anyone who falls in love with a scent can declare it as a masterpiece as perfume is so subjective. There is no right or wrong answer 😊 For me a masterpiece scent is one that makes me feel a particular way (usually a positive feeling and reaction), and something that I have never smelled before (or that could be familiar but feels so special) and is unique. There needs to be a strong emotional connection and the presence of creativity. Those are the criteria I use to label perfumes as masterpieces. Hopefully that makes sense!
I google searched perfumery school and your “I went to Perfumery School” was the first video result i found! And your definition of “masterpiece fragrance” makes a lot of sense. I’m a visual designer and I think the same definition of masterpiece applies to great physical designs too.
That's such a lovely name! I'm Josephine, not Rose. Though my middle name is Marguerite... also a flower. Top 5 favs change constantly but I posted it over on shorts a while back, have a look

Acá en Chile Babycat de YSL está muy dificil de conseguir, además de que ha subido mucho su valor. Pero es una fragancia muy exquisita!
Dior Feve Delicieuse is one I wish I could test soon! ❤ great picks!

Babycat is like Rosendo Mateu No 5 but spicier.. the drydown is ❤❤❤.
There’s a note in both of these that smells very sharp and makes me pull away. Any ideas?

BLACK OPIUM EXTREME AND LE PARFUM, LA BELLE LE PARFUM, L'INTRDIT ROUGE.

Too late for overconsumption, you are a fabulous but expensive influence 😂❤

I also got a gourmand fragrance 1270 Frapin it’s like a Canadian butter tart
I wish I could wear By the Fireplace😮💨It’s so annoying and almost headache inducing for me. The peru balsam gives me Vicks rub feel, and I love Vicks. But in this smoky and sweet interpretation it’s unbearable 😢

I enjoy your reviews so much. Lately for the Fall I've been wearing Neela Vermeire's perfumes -- any of them are lovely for Fall and Winter, but I especially enjoy Trayee.
Does anyone want to drool together and chat about this perfect woman?
Hey Josephine! By any chance have you tried Hayal by Katana?
Hey do u recommend grand soir by mfk for females?
It’s one of my fav for cold weather and I’m woman. It’s a strong scent , I get a lot of compliments when wearing it
I have 3 out of these and want to get Babycat if i ever find it ❤ I guess I love the autumn fragrances the most
Hm, I would add Dior Amber Nuit and Gris Montaigne, By Killian Angel's Share and Back to Black, Penhaligons' Tragedy of Lord George and Matiere Premiere Bois d'Ebene. 😘
Thank you for the tips!
BTW, Santal Basmati from Affinisence is 1st class 👌
Yes yes yes!!! Agreed 🥰
I am so lucky to have Babycat literally falling in my lap.

I have been looking for Babycat all year long. 😢
May I ask where do you live? I found it at Harvey Nichols in London but of course I was there at the right time and very lucky as well. Otherwise I live in Finland and it’s not possible to get it anywhere here.
Check out the alternative perfume links I added to the description box
Great picks I want to try babycat and Gris charnel 😊
🍂 + 🍒= BDK Rouge Smoking.
