Picked up one of these recently brand new for $150. Solid price that I could live with knowing the limitations. I will say that it’s much better made than a Pandora’s Box arcade with really nice hardware and with this update, the only thing holding it back is the number of games. No, I don’t need 1500 games but another 20-30 would be fine considering I spend more time flipping though games I don’t want to play on my Pandora than actually playing.
This should have been a reissue/update of the Capcom Fighter Power Stick with a USB 3.1 and built-in emulator featuring a slew of games up to the CPS-III system.
Thanks for the update. I heard this was incoming but i was hoping for at least one surprise new gane. For the moment then, i am more than happy to keep using my NEO GEO ASP with the hylo Capcom arcade hack for my old school fix. Great channel. 😃👍
Hey MLP how can we pressure Capcom/Koch to update this to 1.7 in line with Capcom's Arcade Stadium? They've finally got those games right lag-wise, so they should be able to transfer that over to the CHA. Funny, I was just thinking at the time how much this would benefit from being able to buy the Capcom Arcade Cabinet for it, then they launched Arcade Stadium the next day.
It has good hardware inside. It's a banana pi board Allwinner H3 Quad-core Cortex-A7 @1.296GHz and GPU: Mali400MP2 GPU @600mhz with 4GB Kingston NAND & 512 RAM. More then enough for CPS 1-3 Emulation.
I would be down if there were more games added. I build my own arcades and have a modest library of cps1 cps2 & cps3 games. But I want to support them in an official capacity. I would gladly pay to add more games to this thing. Do it Capcom! The game library for the stock unit is too small!!!
i do like the updates and what theyve done.. still though, too little and I agree, it has potential... but ... still some way to go yet before I would consider purchasing.
Not sure how popular this idea would be but release a regular size or mini CSP styled unit that has content like this on there which will likely be mod-able and then let us hook up our own USB or wireless joysticks. Not sure how much nostalgia folks would have for that form factor. This Capcom stick I always thought felt a bit gaudy looking.
So are there new games for it...mine just sits there doing nothing...lockdown aint helped as nobody else too play with ... iv had it since it came out..Can someone let me know if there is a way of getting other games..Peace
I have the ninja massive HD on my modded phat Xbox and man the games run smooth on it you be surprised, I have over at least 3000 games on it from the earliest console from the late 70 to the mid 90s , even arcade games from capcom to midway , to many others I didn’t expect to get good quality from this NINJA MASSIVE , it’s really worth the buy .
Wow, that is a fantastic Arcade menu screen... and an embarrassing low number of games. Of course, it's not even sold in the US so I guess you've got a product that's doomed. I'm endlessly amazed at how companies can come so close and yet be so far. There is REAL demand for a "lap version" (that connects to monitor/tv) and a 100% full arcade sized machine that uses Sanwa controls (not that expensive) and has fully licensed, well emulated games. Then add an online store for more licensed ROMS and you have something that a lot of people would pay decent money for. Instead, we get all of these "close, but yeah..." attempts.
if they made the joystick look like actual arcade and with complete capcom games then maybe, but dont really see a need here with so many other options like mame, pie, pandoras box etc....
Too bad it wasn't in this condition while it was in stock. It's very good for those who invested in the thing when it was in a poor state though, I'm glad they didn't just leave it as it was.
You could just buy/use Raspberry Pi with RetroPie and play every arcade game ever with it, since you already have the Switch/PC mod chip. Not as convenient as having more games inside (though you could play all the arcade games ever not just few more).
Ah as long as some more games I am fine with that. Really SFIII 3rd strike is the only CPS3 game I play and already have it on multiple consoles. But definitely awesome news.
With newsletter you can get it for 87€... I bought it @ MM for this price. You can use newsletter voucher as often as you want. Always generate a new one for you next purchase over 99€ :). You don't need a new mm account. It was on amazon germany even lower for 82,5€ a few house this weekend. The german version of the Board has a SD Card Reader already installed. For this price it's a must buy. The standalone price for 2 joysticks and 16x buttons from Sanwa is like 110€ euros. And it's all in there!
@@chillibeef9947 same for saturn. Always generate a 10€ newsletter voucher for Saturn/Mediamarkt in the future. You can even use the same email as befor, after 1 or 2 days.... 99 euro is still a good price!
Why is overclocking needed? If this is licensed by CAPCOM and the hardware is designed to run the games included with the hardware, why do you need the CPU to run faster?
@@Dr.Sarcasm it always defaults to normal speed, its just an option to overclock or underclock when going through the game options prior to starting. Doesnt seem to put additional stress.
in regards to dipswitch/config menu settings, alot of fighters after sf2 had a setting called 'event' (i know its in the vs games and vsav) and when you set it to '1 match' it basically sets the game to 2 player versus mode and removed character lock for the winning player. Is this setting available now?
Can’t say I’m interested in this stick. Seems like Capcom released this stick at a time where they had no competition, and did the bare minimum with this product. SNK is giving them a run for their money. They’ve been releasing some great quality products, lately.
Agreed. Alpha 3 upper and Alpha 2 Gold should be included or replace the vanilla versions. Also second revision of SF2 is the best one but we get the broken 1st version.

I don't think this could handle those cpsIII games well...
I just bought me one. Can’t wait for it to come in. I can’t wait to replay Capcoms AVP and Darkstalkers .

May I ask where you found it?
got the NEOGEO arcade stick pro and never looked at anything else, thanks for all your tutorials and hard work put into these Vids always a goto

And have all the Street Fighter 3's? And Red Earth?....I can keep dreaming.
It is worth it if you can find one. So far, scalpers are asking an arm and a leg.
Hmm.. Agree. I mean, the SNK NeoGeo stuff is alright but Capcom had better games.
There’s a special place in hell just for scalpers. I’m legit tired of them breathing our air

If the price wasn't so high and the stick wasn't so bulky I'd want it just for The Power Battle but man, they need to scale it down in every way.
Glad I got this on release. I personally think the design is cool.
I still gotta open mine
Can’t believe you didn’t show crt mode, is it 4:3? Scanlines?
Great to see this project is still being supported
I thought the same thing... Surely it's scan lines...
.....anyone tried it yet?

If they put all the Street Fighter games from SF2 - Super SF2 turbo, im sure it would sell 10x more units.
Kinda odd that there's no real hacking scene for this thing. Guess the lack of mainstream appeal means a lack of people looking to hack the thing?
I have the ninja massive HD on my modded phat Xbox and man the games run smooth on it you be surprised, I have over at least 3000 games on it from the earliest console from the late 70 to the mid 90s , even arcade games from capcom to midway , to many others I didn’t expect to get good quality from this NINJA MASSIVE , it’s really worth the buy .
May a stupid question... Can it be used as a normal arcade stick? Or does it only work with the preinstalled games on the arcade stick?
know some time has passed but have you looked into the Choko Hack would be great to get an English video on youtube explaining it.

Wondering what type of power supply that this machine uses. Is there something I can order? Thanks for your help. Love the channel!
Thank you for the review.
I hope anybody can help. Why I can not update to 1.5. Wifi is on but it doesn't work
So many Capcom arcade games out there. This looks like a great collection.
if they made the joystick look like actual arcade and with complete capcom games then maybe, but dont really see a need here with so many other options like mame, pie, pandoras box etc....
Hyper Fighting is shown as a CPS-2 game in the game selection screen. It's a CPS1 game smh...
I tried to update my Capcom home arcade but it won't let me. It says version 1.0 is up to date. I'm stuck on firmware 1.0.
Ditto. WiFi never connects
Whoever thought clear buttons and a giant Capcom logo was a great design for a joystick ate paint chips.
Got high on sharpies
That's why all the whiteout bottles are all dried up!
@@Eth3realwarrior 🤣💀
Agreed, no amount of updates will fix the eyesore of the arcade stick.
I actually like the look of it. It's just too pricey for what it is.
I could never get this thing to work on my PC or TV. Idk if it was because I live in the US or what.
Too bad it wasn't in this condition while it was in stock. It's very good for those who invested in the thing when it was in a poor state though, I'm glad they didn't just leave it as it was.
Ron.. please tell me the aspect ration can be fixed.. PLEASE. SF2 looked AWFUL in that windowed wide screen.. ARGH.. i see you didn't go in to check.
For now the only solution is to put your tv in 4:3 mode. If your tv still has that option of of course.

Not sold in USA. Went to the Amazon website using the link provided.
Yes its a Europe exclusive.
hack is coming soon :) Unfortunately CPS3 works a bit slow on it.
I'm wondering if the overclock is going to be implemented with it somehow?

I've just updated mine, and now the logo comes up bit then the screen goes black, any way I can fix this?
I did the update and the system went to crap loads but noting happens after the start up screen doesn't show the games and the screen goes black

Their reddit page list compatibility for other games..including SNK...

Will Amazon UK ship it to the US for free or is there an additional shipping charge?
man sfii still looks choppy. I wonder if it's just youtube
Wait, Capcom is a Koch media company?
No, Koch Media got Capcom to license the product.

How does caspo work in this game btw?
Cool item for the collection. Personally wouldn't buy for the games included though...
I really don't understand why they locked down AvP to this system instead of releasing it on PC/all consoles with online coop. People want this game.
So people would have a reason to buy this thing. Duh.
If this just had Dungeons and Dragons tower of doom id probably get it.
You can easily add it... its been hacked!
Such an awesome game!
ls this thing good to go?
can i plug in a usb controller to this?
CRT scanlines?
You can't even play online (unless if i m mistaken). Nowadays it's just useless to sell a console without that. Too expensive for what it is.

recorded, and rendered in 60fps. It shows the playback is 60 fps but I guess RUclips janks things sometimes.
