Can you do a review of the 128g gamebox. Its listed as a true blue product but its something different I think. It has over 170 ps1 games and 6000+ retro games for like $20 - 25
@Herman SheepleMeyer Thanks for the heads up. Appreciate that because I was just gonna order 1 tomorrow. Thought it would be cool for the retro stuff alone but I found a guy on etsy that will customize the thimb drives with whatever games you want from the ps1 library.
Got mine today. At first I was disappointed in the emulation, specifically the audio delay on SF2 Hyper fighting, but once I connected the WiFi and installed the firmware update, which was super easy and quick to do, the emulation was far improved. The online leader board is a great feature and the build quality is great. I love the quality of the joysticks and buttons. The games are all fantastic, I just hope we can add more games sometime or I'd love to be able to use it on other consoles somehow. Yes the price is probably a bit too high with such a small selection of games, but I find the quality of the build and overall experience to be great.
I might be in the minority but I don't like how the buttons are colored to fit the background. I also don't think the theme should just be the Capcom logo. I'd rather it was a mural of various Capcom characters and the buttons themselves were a blue and yellow mix like the sticks. (Edit: Ok I'm not in the minority. Most people think this looks ass.)
$260 I think I’m going to pass plus it has emulation issues. For $60 I’d forgive the emulation issues and possibly buy it but $260 for 16 games. No thank you. At least that Neo Geo is actually somewhat affordable at $130 plus the emulation is near perfect if not perfect. Also SNK didn’t steal an emulator not that it would stop me from buying it if it was maybe $60-$100. Either way great video as always
TBH I prefer Capcom. It looks way better. And the SNK stick is just fighting games and looks terrible. Emulation issues will be fixed by update and 'Capcom' paid for the licence to use FBAlpha and then removed pieces of code when they found out it was mis-sold to them
@@robertwilson3866 IMO I'm not really feeling the huge Capcom logo and the stick needs more games out of the box; come on only 16? I could understand if it were a standalone arcade cabinet and only had 3 games like Arcade1up but it isn't. Yes most of the parts seem high quality especially the buttons but like madpixel said this thing has issues and they're simple issues that should have been dealt with before release instead of having to wait for firmware updates for simple fixes. There are just too many issues and too few games for me to spend $250+ with expensive shipping" from another country for me to consider it right now especially when I currently lack internet connectivity.
@@kyosnk40 Fair enough if you lack wifi but honestly it's great. Watch other people's reviews and they are enjoying it. The hi-score uplaod is genius. The menu isn't great, the music issue needs fixing and it needs scanline option. Those are my only issues. I paid $140 for my tournament arcade stick which is just a stick. I read their reasons for the 16 games and it makes sense. Also what other games would you include? Games like X-Men, D&D, Area 88 etc all require licences. Imagine paying for a Marvel licence now and it would depend on who owns it now and if it's exclusive. They made a choice to put AVP on because it's never been released before but that meant paying extra for a licence. Progear was new too.
Despite some flaws which they can fix in updates I'm having a blast with it.its a big social arcade experience and there's something about getting that high score🤘
I think they should've designed it like a huge arcade stick in the scheme of the Q25 control panel. The Q25 is basically the Capcom colors and the control panel has the Capcom logo so why didn't they do that? The Q25 is pretty unique and has the iconic Capcom colors. The size of the Q25 looks like it can hold a single board computer. Better yet, they could've made it like the Vewlix control panel/arcade stick from Hori in that the Q25 inspired stick can open the panel easily if need be and then they can spend less on the arcade parts with Sanwa clones and people can easily swap the parts out if the case can easily open like the Vewlix, of course in lesser grade materials. With the more normal design and lesser quality parts in both the stick/buttons and build, the cost can go down to an affordable consumer price, have a more ergonomic panel, and can easily be modded with better parts if the consumer wants to do so. If the cost is lowered, then Capcom could've spend a little more effort on the emulation or at least the UI and give us more options instead like control mapping. They could've also get rid of the complete rebooting when exiting the game if the price of the parts are lowered. If the arcade stick is a more normal design, you don't have to custom paint the parts either, so you can just get blue and yellow parts instead which lowers the cost as well.
I heard that they may be able to use the WiFi capability to allow PvP with other players that have this. Imagine that? I think that would be really cool.
Thank you for an honest review pixel, every other channel has been going on like this thing is the 2nd coming but looks underwhelming if I'm being honest. Far prefer the look and accessibility of the SNK Pro
Already have half the games on my arcade 1up cabs. Only game im intersted on this console is AVP...which needs to be ported to one of the major consoles like my ps4
It would be awesome if Capcom made a mini console version of their Capcom Impress arcade machine just like what Sega did with their Astro City arcade machine by making the Astro City Mini.
I'm not proud of this but... I dropped mine while reviewing it (about two feet), didn't crack. Plastic doesn't feel cheap to me. Other complaints, I totally agree.
I have a sneaky feeling that the full reboot is an over the top need to clear system and v-ram which as many know is not needed these days but I'm pretty sure they went or stability on this one.
I haven't updated my Capcom arcade, and no lag on mine. I plan on doing so now to get the other options. Price is kinda high, but man I wanted it for AVP! Thumb Butts!!
Im unsure what the deal with lag is as ive heard some had it and some didnt. Mine did but doesnt after the update so I dunno. I just wish this had more features and games for the price... Button custimization, crt filters, save states, not having to reboot back to the menu. But maybe more features will be added over time... We will see.
LOL... man you guys have it good in the US, here in Aus the SNK is $100au cheaper on Amazon, $10au cheaper on eBay and it only comes with one crappy Chinese controller + buttons... the Capcom comes with two sets Sanwa joysticks + buttons and a decent (yeah! wish it had more) selection of classic arcade games. Here in Aus the capcom is heaps better value. I grew up with Capcom and SNK in the arcades, so I’m a huge fan of both... Love your channel and your straight talk, but sometimes I wish you’d make your comparisons a bit more realistic and balanced especially for people that don’t live in the US.
I would be tempted to hang it on my wall. Also would make a decent arcade cab build since it has the official menu and all. seems pretty cool for what it is.
It's amazing that people are advocating for the license of software that can literally only be used for license violations. I will surely buy one if a good hack is available.
Not available in the US. But Amazon UK despite saying doesnt ship to the USA it still does. It did for me and still allows me to checkout if I wanted to buy again.
@@marcosgeorgopoulos794 It's not stolen code. It was licenced from FBalpha. and they removed other people's code when they found out. Anyway FBAlpha was written to play a huge amount of stolen code (ROM images) so would be stupid to complain about that anyway.
How much would it cost to build your own 2p sanwa control panel and buy licenses for 16 games? This is 15 bucks per game and you get the hardware for free.
I actually want one, just out of my league currently. Making my own with a madcatz soul Calibur v stick with a built in pi 4 or Nvidia shield. Not sure there's enough room for a mini pc
I have to mention that this Home Arcade was manufactured by a company called Koch Media and under the CAPCOM license. In my case... I'm stick with the Capcom Compilations from the fifth generation to the sixth generation of consoles.
How were you able to obtain one of these? They are not being sold in the United States. Also, the link you provided to purchase it v clearly states they will not ship to United States.
Here is the weird thing. A lot of times Amazon UK listings will say does not ship to the USA but when you checkout it allows it. Sometimes they do lock and unlock shipping to the US, and leave that notice on their.
@@stunn3r312 Prime doesnt work when using international Amazon sites. But i just checked my order, I paid about $20 US dollars for global expedited. Now when I check it looks like the shipping charge is higher for expedited but they do offer cheaper shipping. Usually when I use the cheapest option the item still shows up in about a week. When I use expedited typically a couple days once shipped it arrives.
Can you do a lag test on the SNK stick? I purchased this because I'm a sucker for this sort of thing. At the moment I think I spent my money poorly. I'm hoping it's moddable and I can stick a Sandisk Ultra Fit or something in the back and have a portable all in one 2P arcade setup.
10:55 It's a shame gaming gear built nowadays won't last like "old tech". I like arcade grade hardware. A $180 Xbox Elite controller MIGHT last a year. This isn't cheap either, and I'll give it two months with a 6 year old.
how's input lag? And how's speed on super turbo and regular turbo? All emulation has messed the speed on the turbo editions up quite a bit. level 1 feels too fast, and 0 still feels too fast. The only emulation that has got it perfect, I believe is Callus way back when.
Some people scoffing at the price, I don't think some of you realize this is literally a top class double fight stick that happens to be able to play games. SINGLE fight sticks run $150 and up due to internals and materials.
When he point to usb I thought he would say “possibility for 4 players” since Capcom has a lot 4 player beat them up. And he said “for hacking”. If i hack this. Why don’t I just go pandora box or raspberry pi?
Well I think he means if you already have it. If it was cheap I'd buy it and hack it. But I get what you mean if you just want to hack you can get a good arcade stick and every game for half to a quarter this price
@@blackhatfreak is this what you meant - In classical Greek Mythology, Pandora was the first woman on earth and the “box” was, in fact, a large jar that contained all the evils of the world. The myth from which the box/jar comes from is that of Pandora's creation, found in Hesiod's Works and Days.
If you were able to mod or hack it and it was about half the price I might be interested. Obviously its out to get the Christmas market but after that in January we might see a price drop if it hasn't sold well and I don't think it will.
They probably could've knocked off $50 by not using Sanwa parts. But I'm glad they did use legit parts, cuz one day I'll hopefully find one of these at a major discount and be a happy guy lol.
It seems like this is a novelty. I wanted one but 250 is way too high. Alien vs preditor is the only real game i want. What they shoulda done is added some wall hanger holes on the back so you could hang it up and pull it down when you wanted to play it.
Woah, just hearing the voices for SF2 Hyper Fighting in the background as you played it, sounded HORRIBLE. Ryu's voice sounds incredibly slow. The other games sound bad too. That, among all the issues you point out, its trash. Ridiculous poor emulation, poor form factor, poor selection. =/
I absolutely hate the way the buttons look. They should be colored yellow on top and blue on the bottom for Player 1. For Player 2 it should be the opposite blue on top and yellow on the bottom. As it sits now, it looks like a giant metal cover....
Im gonna double check, cause on my headphones I dont recall it sounding bad after updating the firmware. I listened to this video and its definitely not correct. Maybe my cap card messed with it or maybe it is bad. Double checking now.
Double checked and compared to other footage captured from other emulation and from RUclips videos of actual arcade, the audio sounded fine for me. So maybe just capture issue.
You can't even use it as an arcade stick for your PC or consoles. What were they thinking... It's a $260 full Sanwa dual stick that you can only use with the 16 included roms. My mind is blown.
indeed the capcom logo design was probably not the best choice for this joystick (I would've went with something along the lines of the classic SF2 layout at least it would be rectangular) but seeing some of the other stuff like in the interface, and being unable to remap buttons or anything (I could understand not having it in SF2 you shouldn't really need to, but for other games it would've been nice) that's some playstation classic level of jankiness! I'd honestly have preferred this as another multiplatform arcade compilation, especially since they landed alien vs. predator.... but as it is with all the problems? definitely gonna be a pass from me.

wow the price of this and dosent work out the box. Thanks man for the review but its a disgrace to ship like this. ill stick with my pandoras box
You can take the SNK fight stick and hook it to a raspberry pi and get better performance and faster game switching for way less than what you paid for this lmao
Dude, these items that need a day one patch are getting more and more ridiculous. I can only imagine people not being able to update these things and they being even more of a ripoff.
Yeh that big arcade business GameRoom Solutions? There awesome. I'd rather buy a bartop from them or pretty sure u did vids on there arcade sticks a while back. Think u bought a couple. U should have got that out for a comparison but yeh I'd buy it only for the name. For collecting reasons. I'm still halfway through building a bartop atm so yeh I'd leave it for now.
I don't think capcom are going to sit on there backsides and do nothing, there sure to be working on a firmware update as we speak to fix a lot of issues. As it is I'm sold, in the UK for £199.00.
Going to be tricky when the Emulation side is gimped. Remember how he mentioned FInal Burn Alpha? Well support for that got dropped and the rest moved to to Final Burn Neo. So this thing can't improve it's emulation quality unless the 1 guy works on it solo.
@@retrostansoloActually I heard that info from a friend who showed me a link on Twitter. What this means for this device?; I'm unsure. Unless the 1 guy left is willing to work on the emulation. More likely with it being cut you can't really make improvements emulation wise beyond this version it has.
@@RoboP Thanks for letting me know. I will still give this device a go and hope they do figure out how the future of it plans out. Have a good one, thanks.
+Cyrus - how is it scummy when they paid for FBalpha licence from the main guy who wrote it? Also FBAlpha was designed to play illegal ROM images in the first place. So who cares if someone took their code when FBA steals code + money from all the people who wrote those games
@@robertwilson3866 did you miss the part where one person from the FB group sold the rights when they where not suppose to, and the other members where pissed
@@Cyrus_Nagisa Yes but that wasn't Capcom/Koch Media's fault. And since they found out they removed the code. And why do you care anyway? FBA people studied Capcom's chips and code to make that code and it's used to play Capcom's (and other game developer's) code on illegally. The whole argument makes no sense.
Why would you use Sanwa parts when literally every japanese CPS 1,2 & 3 Stratus, Impress, Vs City etc etc arcade cab used Seimitsu parts? Answer: ignorance.
The Capcom bs surrounding the usage of FBA is crap. The fact that it's not using both JP/US romsets is garbage. I'm not thrilled with the Neo-Geo stick either (Nihongo Gamer had some issues with KOF 98 rom not playing properly.) I'm not sure if either of these is what we deserve to actually get, but at least SNK didn't pull some shady crap.
It just looks tacky. Should have done a custom box with a brushed metal tag and in it engraved number of units. If they wanted to go all out let you go online and customize to engrave what you want on it. Custom artwork wrapped and real pro joysticks to justify the price.
It's no different than the Nintendo switch that thing is $300 and doesn't come with button remapping I don't use them but I'm pretty sure the Xbox One and PS4 also don't have button remapping
This is a plug and play device using an emulator that supports button remapping. Other similar products allow button remapping... Neo Geo Arcade Stick pro allows per game button remapping. This is in no way similar to a home console thats games are designed for its buttons... But also those consoles plenty of games DO allow button remapping. So not sure the point here?
I'm talking about button remapping on the scale of steam where you just hit the home button select the button and move it to wherever you want in-game button mapping usually doesn't work that well or you get something like Mario Odyssey I just want to use the B button to throw my hat in the a button to jump is it that hard?

$200!!! I'd rather play my Capcom Classics 1 and 2 on the PS2.
Same, I still own classics collection vol. 1 on my original Xbox and that has an awesome line up of Capcom games
I own them with 2 Tekken 5 sticks.
@@WebVManReturns That works great!
Some people scoffing at the price, I don't think some of you realize this is literally a top class double fight stick that happens to be able to play games. SINGLE fight sticks run $150 and up due to internals and materials.
Im confused, so they ARENT releasing this in America????
When he point to usb I thought he would say “possibility for 4 players” since Capcom has a lot 4 player beat them up. And he said “for hacking”. If i hack this. Why don’t I just go pandora box or raspberry pi?
Well I think he means if you already have it. If it was cheap I'd buy it and hack it. But I get what you mean if you just want to hack you can get a good arcade stick and every game for half to a quarter this price
Pandora's Jar not box.
@@blackhatfreak Not sure what you meant.. please Search Pandora box in amazon if you dont know what is that
@@blackhatfreak is this what you meant - In classical Greek Mythology, Pandora was the first woman on earth and the “box” was, in fact, a large jar that contained all the evils of the world. The myth from which the box/jar comes from is that of Pandora's creation, found in Hesiod's Works and Days.
teardown? whats's in there?
If you were able to mod or hack it and it was about half the price I might be interested. Obviously its out to get the Christmas market but after that in January we might see a price drop if it hasn't sold well and I don't think it will.
Jesus double the price of the SNK? They're really hoping the "2 arcade sticks in one" thing selling it huh? Shame that's a turn off for me lol
Why they don’t sell this console in america? Amazon america or gamestop. Not USA not money capcom. Thanks
I just bought the Soul Calibur VI RAP N stick. I think I'm just gonna get a Raspberry Pi to emulate Capcome and SNK games with my stick.
They probably could've knocked off $50 by not using Sanwa parts. But I'm glad they did use legit parts, cuz one day I'll hopefully find one of these at a major discount and be a happy guy lol.
something about the sound in street fighter didn't sound right. maybe is just me. it sounded a bit robot-ish..
Think it was my capture messed up the audio slightly. I just checked live comparing to other sources and it sounded ok.
It's a lot of money for 16 games. Good games but not enough to justify the price imo. I'll save up for an AT games legends ultimate cab instead.
I live in the USA and I don't feel like getting an Amazon UK account. How can I get one shipped to the USA?
I came here as an alternative to RGT who is a real turd. New sub. 💪
Ecke LOL RGT is a turd indeed
Why?
It seems like this is a novelty. I wanted one but 250 is way too high. Alien vs preditor is the only real game i want. What they shoulda done is added some wall hanger holes on the back so you could hang it up and pull it down when you wanted to play it.
Woah, just hearing the voices for SF2 Hyper Fighting in the background as you played it, sounded HORRIBLE. Ryu's voice sounds incredibly slow. The other games sound bad too.
That, among all the issues you point out, its trash. Ridiculous poor emulation, poor form factor, poor selection. =/
Sounds like something you'd hear from an old AtGames Genesis system 😂
@@TonySkittleAlive184 Lol yep
How u order one it's says don't ship to usa on Amazon
I absolutely hate the way the buttons look. They should be colored yellow on top and blue on the bottom for Player 1. For Player 2 it should be the opposite blue on top and yellow on the bottom. As it sits now, it looks like a giant metal cover....
This thing is pretty nice...especially since I picked it up for $159. $250 and I would have been somewhat disappointed.
Nice. Trying to find it for less than 300
3:06 How do you make something like this and not have an ethernet port? I realize serious players would totally want that, right?
“Serious players”.....STFU
Cheapest in the UK is around £160. Better off getting a arcade1up cabinet.
What's the output on this? 720p or 1080p ??
on sale amazon germany bought it for 100 euro
Woah SF2 sounds weird and slowed down. How did they butcher this so bad?! Lol
Can you use a joypad ?
230 - 250 € in Germany. That's almost the price of the Nintendo Switch 🤦🏻♂
$250.00 ??? No thanks . That's about the same price as a current gen console
Over $200 for a pretty piece of plastic
And Sanwa controls. 🙄
@@ostiariusalpha What a waste of good controls.
You can't even use it as an arcade stick for your PC or consoles. What were they thinking... It's a $260 full Sanwa dual stick that you can only use with the 16 included roms. My mind is blown.
I'm interested in this, but the price for a plug n play, as massive as it is turns me away.
"paying $250 for this thing? U.S. dollars?!" 😂
indeed the capcom logo design was probably not the best choice for this joystick (I would've went with something along the lines of the classic SF2 layout at least it would be rectangular) but seeing some of the other stuff like in the interface, and being unable to remap buttons or anything (I could understand not having it in SF2 you shouldn't really need to, but for other games it would've been nice) that's some playstation classic level of jankiness! I'd honestly have preferred this as another multiplatform arcade compilation, especially since they landed alien vs. predator.... but as it is with all the problems? definitely gonna be a pass from me.
Hi madlittlepixel 260 dollars that too much money I pass this one I Wii get a psp go I will put capcom games on psp go right madlittlepixel your the best hard working man in the world and keep up the good work ☺your awesome madlittlepixel😃
wow the price of this and dosent work out the box. Thanks man for the review but its a disgrace to ship like this. ill stick with my pandoras box
Introduce issue, minimize issue, re-introduce issue, make breath noises, repeat for all videos.
$200 isn't a lot of money..... But is it worth it?
I wonder if it'll be hacked
You can take the SNK fight stick and hook it to a raspberry pi and get better performance and faster game switching for way less than what you paid for this lmao
I like official products but not if they operate like some emulator I purchased from a dude on Craigslist....let’s go pixel! 100K in 2020
Dude, these items that need a day one patch are getting more and more ridiculous. I can only imagine people not being able to update these things and they being even more of a ripoff.
I got mine and the HDMI cable did not work and will not connect to my WiFi I hoping someone hack it a make it run so much better
I’ll get one once this crap bombs then is available for $99
I don't think capcom are going to sit on there backsides and do nothing, there sure to be working on a firmware update as we speak to fix a lot of issues.
@@RoboP I'll ask you this because you know your stuff.... What's the best possible outcome that we can hope for?
@@retrostansoloActually I heard that info from a friend who showed me a link on Twitter.
What this means for this device?; I'm unsure.
Unless the 1 guy left is willing to work on the emulation.
More likely with it being cut you can't really make improvements emulation wise beyond this version it has.
@@RoboP Thanks for letting me know. I will still give this device a go and hope they do figure out how the future of it plans out. Have a good one, thanks.
Get an og xbox with coinops or a pandoras box instead
I still think who ever signed off on that design and allowed those buttons to be clear need to be fired, and using FBA is scummy as hell
They're painted, not clear.
@@excessmaterial that makes it even worse....that means effort was put in to make it look like that -.-
+Cyrus - how is it scummy when they paid for FBalpha licence from the main guy who wrote it?
If they do mods/hacks for this please review em! I would 100% watch
OCG - Overwatch Console Gameplays do you promise you will 100% watch??? 🤣
Why would you use Sanwa parts when literally every japanese CPS 1,2 & 3 Stratus, Impress, Vs City etc etc arcade cab used Seimitsu parts? Answer: ignorance.
I'm just laughing at how ugly that stick is. I'm sorry, but that thing is UUUUGLY! lol
It looks great IMO
I would replace the sanwa buttons with hayabusa buttons.
Wow so brave
The price of this thing would be fine if the emulation was great.
It's no different than the Nintendo switch that thing is $300 and doesn't come with button remapping I don't use them but I'm pretty sure the Xbox One and PS4 also don't have button remapping
PS4 has button remapping.
Xbox One has button remapping as well.
I'm talking about button remapping on the scale of steam where you just hit the home button select the button and move it to wherever you want in-game button mapping usually doesn't work that well or you get something like Mario Odyssey I just want to use the B button to throw my hat in the a button to jump is it that hard?
Good luck on trying to find replacement buttons that'll match... 🤦♂️
The plastic wouldnt break... the switch would, just replace the sanwa internal switch
Uh oh here we go lol
Ryu's voice sounds bad. Too Deep.
And the sound is a bit lagged out there 🔊🤔🤔!!!!
