- Hello everyone and welcome to my fourth fix it video
Today we have a faulty EUFY 11c robotic vacuum cleaner that spins around in a circle. Can I fix it? Come join me to find out.
I am a simple person who likes to fix things and get them working again so someone can enjoy it again.
I am not an expert so please don't take what I do as a how to, I most probably am doing everything wrong :). Наука
Thank you so much for the video! Something was stock in my wheel's gears and i was able to clean it! It works like it's brand new 😄
Thanks for the video, my vacuum problem was solved after battery replacement.
I just want to say how brilliant you are. I foolishly used my euphy to clean the outside carpet after a dust devil went through. Rhen it wouldnt work again. Spinning in circles. You were the only one adressing the problem.
So after previously taken the bumper off and cleaning the roller ball and brushes and it still went just a few seconds before it began soinnjng in circles, I found yiur video.
I turned my euphy upside down and did the wheel check and both wheel were working properly like you described. I put it back down in the ground again, tried it out, worked for a few seconds, then spinning in circles like before.
Then I showed hubby what I had done and when I picked the euphy up again there was fuzzy crud on the floor, like where the wheet had been on the ground. Hmmm
Strange. So I tried the euphy again AND IT WORKED. Apparently I had fuzzy crud stuck under the wheels. And whereas I didnt have to take my euphy apart, you were the only one addressing the wheel problem. I am so greatful because we were ready to buy a new one. I ram it for several minutes, no problem. Totally fixed due to your video. Thanks.
Glad I could be of help, and save you money in the process :)
Where did you get your bag of cogs?
I have a Eufy 11+ that's doing the circle dance, before I open it I know it's a bad cog. Thanks
I just want to add - both wheels should show friction when they're working correctly. in my case a cog in each wheel mechanism had issues.
My wheel on one side is tough, the gears are all in and not missing teeth, not sure if it’s the motor cuz it seems stress free when turning by itself….Any idea?
thank you for this! also my issue, found the cogs but not on ebay, on something called joom
Hi Shaun! Thank you so much for this video!!! I took my Eufy apart along with you in the video (it is spinning and has a lame wheel just like yours). THEN I watched you take apart the wheel and find the broken cog...and I realized that I didn't have a set of hard to find cogs laying around!!! I don't know where to begin to find the set of cogs. Can you share a link or name of cogs set or idea of what to search for?
They are on sale on eBay, a few people sell replacement cogs, you can find this by typing eufy sidebrush cogs into search.... I hope this helps, if you are still struggling, reach out and I'll find a few links for you :)
Hi Shaun, I have a robot vacuum cleaner HOSOME, which had a problem with the brush motor, before that it worked very well. I disassembled and cleaned the gear, put it back together and now the brush spins again, great! but now the robot rotates in circles, and before that it didn't happen,
I took the robot apart again but I couldn't find the problem that seems to be a sensor...but I don't know which one. Any idea? Thanks
Hey there, the first thing i would try is cleaning the front bumper, if its scratched / dirty it can cause the machine to spin. If it is spinning in a way that looks like one wheel is spinning but the other one isnt, check the connection to the wheel, and also make sure that nothing is pressing against the wheel, i have had this before. Let me know how you get along.
My 11s also had gear teeth just "exploding". Awful quality, but at least their customer service is nice. Really low quality products though.
I understand why they need gears, i feel like they needed to use a stronger plastic material, or at least make the assembly a bit thicker, its a shame considering that these are wonderful machines
@@SimpleShaun80 My replacement unit wont even go under furniture anymore. The unit is 2.8 inches (7.2cm) high and it will simply refuse to go under furniture that is between 15-20cm high. Last time I'm buying this brand.
Mine has no friction on one tired
No friction when you spin a tyre normally means that the cog assembly has gone in there, if the unit spins in a circle you will either need to get new cogs and replace them or a new wheel assembly from eBay. The fix is not too difficult, its easier on the later models, but finding the cogs can be tricky...
