Thanks Chris and Julie! The video quality gets better each time. I visit your videos for a "booster shot" since I can only get up there one week out of the year. I was in and out thru North Tea Lake in September. Wind in your face and being solo made for a challenging adventure. Big Shout out to Bill and Sandy at Northern Wilderness Outfitters. They're the real deal!!
    Happy Trails!!

Chris, every time I have shouldered a canoe this year, what invariably comes to mind is that bit of footage of you jumping about four feet from shore to a little rock out there, before effortlessly lowering the boat onto the water. Or maybe it was six feet, I don't know. And I think "No Jeff, you are not a badass and don't try that!" This is another great looking trip, and thanks for all the effort it takes to bring it to us!

Since you asked for suggestions on new places to explore, are you familiar with La Vérendrye Wildlife Reserve in Quebec ? I never canoe-camped there myself, but those in the know say that it's one of the best places for canoe-camping in Quebec. I know it's a long drive from where you live, but since you seem to visit Mont-Tremblant regularly, it's really easy to access from there; you just drive a couple of hours north on hwy 117. The highway crosses the entire reserve from south to north.
And thanks to you and Julia for sharing with us your adventures in Algonquin park. It's been almost 20 years since I last canoe-camped, but your videos have re-ignited the flame in me. :)

    Amazing!
We did a similar loop during the first of September. We cut up maple creek though. I might add a appreciated seeing your experience going into big thunder lake as I avoided losing my shoe at the slog at the beginning if the portage. It tied my shoes a little tighter because of your video. Lol.
Amazing cinematography, amazing creative flow and holy moly i loved that transition when you pushed the canoe and the slid over to the paddling sequence.
Thank tou for your always ever awesome inspiration. You both are so wonderful to folllow along.

Great video series! Enjoyed watching this. Algonquin is so awesome. I liked some of the quirky edits in this series (the wild goose chase for a campsite scene on Manitou, for example), they made it fun to follow. Looking forward to the next one! I'll shamelessly plug Killarney one more time just because I'd like to see your videography with the scenery. But these videos made me remember how great Algonquin is, and the best part is that it's huge and there's so much of it. If I remember right this was last year? Hope you got some camping in this year!

I absolutely love your videos guys! I am booked into Smoke, Ragged and Big Porcupine Lakes this summer, I was wondering if you have had any experiences on these lakes?

Always love seeing your trips, thanks for sharing! Any chance you'd consider a trip to Killarney? It's a little further off the beaten path but so worth it!

Thanks Joz! It’s a Swift Canoe - one of their Keewaydin 16’s, and it handles like a dream. You can rent them from Algonguin Outfitters :)

My first Algonquin trip was in 1975. Went in off Trout Creek of hwy 11.
Hidden jewel back then. How's she doing today?
