Lol ask Aptera if they will refund your deposit if you decide you don’t want to wait years for a car. You won’t be all in after that. They won’t refund you. They won’t even respond to you. To me it looks like Aptera is the same as all those now defunct 90s kit Car companies.

"Innovation is risk. It's hard to make the impossible possible." A great lead-in to what Aptera is experiencing as they strive to bring the world's most efficient EV to market. Most investors avoid risk. But the insightful ones, the really successful ones, carefully study the product and its viability, and then take that leap of (informed) faith. I have.

Aptera had a great update video webinar this week detailing the progress they’ve been making toward full production. (It’s an hour long, check it out if interested.)
As an investor in the company I’m pleased to see the steady progress they’re making.

So very important to raise funds at this point. The accelerator program won't be nearly enough, the burn rate is high (after looking at the financials) and production is expensive. Aptera really needs to raise $150M+ to finish the job. Dilution is necessary. I hope you guys make it.

This vehicle is on my watch list and I'm waiting patiently. My only criticism is the front wheel fenders seem exposed and vulnerable the wiggle and seem like the would be the first thing making contact. I like the Tesla plug and it would be beneficial to use a charging software program thats similar to Tesla since the public is fully behind them for this functionality. The Aptera is pushing the correct buttons considering the other end of the EV market is losing there way. Focus on efficiency safety & basic comfort .

Start racing Apteras, beat other EVs then roll out the street version that isn’t limited to 90 mph.
You cannot hype sportiness if the car tops out under 100 mph.
OR realize there isn’t a large enough market for Plaid eating Apteras and shoot for flying version?

Free from gasoline? How about free from Vaseline? Great idea but I'd feel better with a slow production line than no production line especially considering the never ending of funding drives and monies collected and not a single car produced.
I'm sorry it's starting to feel more like a religious or political campaign. Selling a bunch of hope and nothing to show for it.

Yes, it is looking grim, and they'll need a big investor to come along to show up and risk some money to get them into production. But it's certainly not a scam, it's just a very bad money environment at the moment. I don't like the marketing fluff part of it, but I understand how necessary it is to build excitement for some people.
It is possible they will make it, but it will require some luck.

I really wish Aptera would focus on other aspects in marketing. This is still a very fast and sporty EV. No other affordable EV sports cars exist and Aptera even has good storage. They have a great short about this on TikTok but not everyone uses that platform. They could make a youtube video of their best tiktok videos - would cost them essentially nothing.

Agreed, the solar is just the cherry on top. No one cares about the solar if they don't know that it's a good car first. Emphasize performance, safety, space, and price. Then talk about efficiency.

There's also the fact that we really won't know for sure how it handles until the production version does come out. We can hope, but the proof is in the pudding, and the pudding has not been made.

Can you please show the math on how the solar panels charge the battery sufficiently for 40 miles per day? You have 700W of solar panels mounted to the body; a 40KW to 100KW battery the latter of which is good for 1000 miles. What is the power consumption of the vehicle per mile? (You have 3 - 50KW motors - one per wheel.) What is the math?
Battery and solar specsmanship are all the rage. You buy a cordless gardening tool stating it is good for 90 minutes only to find that is with the largest battery pack upgrade which costs more than the tool. Or you buy solar panels that will "pay for themselves in five years" only to find that they require 20 years to do so but start to decay after 10 because they really only absorb a fraction of the sunlight during the day.
And I see a offroading version of the vehicle. Can we see it drive on rugged terrain vs perfect blacktop?

Elio was clearly a scam. Aptera could still fail because they have set a very ambitious goal but no reasonable person could call them a scam with what we can clearly see happening.
