This car is the Model-T to which the automotive revolution should've gone 15 years ago. Aerodynamic, non-urban assault vehicles that have potential to prevent further waste. Yes, it is looking grim, and they'll need a big investor to come along to show up and risk some money to get them into production. But it's certainly not a scam, it's just a very bad money environment at the moment. I don't like the marketing fluff part of it, but I understand how necessary it is to build excitement for some people. It is possible they will make it, but it will require some luck.
I really wish Aptera would focus on other aspects in marketing. This is still a very fast and sporty EV. No other affordable EV sports cars exist and Aptera even has good storage. They have a great short about this on TikTok but not everyone uses that platform. They could make a youtube video of their best tiktok videos - would cost them essentially nothing.
Agreed, the solar is just the cherry on top. No one cares about the solar if they don't know that it's a good car first. Emphasize performance, safety, space, and price. Then talk about efficiency.
There's also the fact that we really won't know for sure how it handles until the production version does come out. We can hope, but the proof is in the pudding, and the pudding has not been made.
@@ccibinel yes, but in truth it is all theory and talk until the production vehicles get driven by consumers and auto journalists. I hope it succeeds, I hope all the talk is true, but the fact is we need production vehicles to find out, and they need to be driven, tested, reviewed.
Question. Solar panels will undoubtedly improve as time goes by. How difficult will it be to remove the current solar panels and replace them with the future, more improved solar panels?

Can you please show the math on how the solar panels charge the battery sufficiently for 40 miles per day? You have 700W of solar panels mounted to the body; a 40KW to 100KW battery the latter of which is good for 1000 miles. What is the power consumption of the vehicle per mile? (You have 3 - 50KW motors - one per wheel.) What is the math? Battery and solar specsmanship are all the rage. You buy a cordless gardening tool stating it is good for 90 minutes only to find that is with the largest battery pack upgrade which costs more than the tool. Or you buy solar panels that will "pay for themselves in five years" only to find that they require 20 years to do so but start to decay after 10 because they really only absorb a fraction of the sunlight during the day. And I see a offroading version of the vehicle. Can we see it drive on rugged terrain vs perfect blacktop?
Elio was clearly a scam. Aptera could still fail because they have set a very ambitious goal but no reasonable person could call them a scam with what we can clearly see happening.

😂
That would be nice, but you might have to wait a few years :-)
The woman doing the voiceover sounds like she gives really poor service at KFC. Fire your marketing team.

Carpe diem, and carpe solem.
Gesundheit.
Memento mori, memento viveri.
Start racing Apteras, beat other EVs then roll out the street version that isn’t limited to 90 mph.
You cannot hype sportiness if the car tops out under 100 mph.
OR realize there isn’t a large enough market for Plaid eating Apteras and shoot for flying version?
This is a scam! Prove me wrong!
Hello everyone, I have recently created a Facebook group for EV's enthusiast and owners. We talk about strategies, lead flow, operations, and everything needed to have a profitable and efficient EV.
Would you be open to join?
So, if we need an investor, why not flood Elon Musk with requests?
Lots of reasons.
Free from gasoline? How about free from Vaseline? Great idea but I'd feel better with a slow production line than no production line especially considering the never ending of funding drives and monies collected and not a single car produced.
I'm sorry it's starting to feel more like a religious or political campaign. Selling a bunch of hope and nothing to show for it.
Hope and Change? We had that for 8 years.
This has dragged on for quite a while. I wish it was in production already. Hopefully they make it to the market.
@@IDNHANTU2day and it sure was far, far better than the bonehead lowlife hate that we got from four years from the cynical selfish orange scam rapist sociopath 😊
It's interesting because I bet the demographic of aptera customers are not the type that sit and watch tic toc all day. 😅
@@Yowzoe the suspension hasn't changed since beta (the green one) and it did very well on a the track and the Moose test.
@@ccibinel yes, but in truth it is all theory and talk until the production vehicles get driven by consumers and auto journalists.
I hope it succeeds, I hope all the talk is true, but the fact is we need production vehicles to find out, and they need to be driven, tested, reviewed.
Very cool.
Question. Solar panels will undoubtedly improve as time goes by. How difficult will it be to remove the current solar panels and replace them with the future, more improved solar panels?
Bravo Aptera. Show our world where we stand and where we're heading with our solar/battery powered EV!
I’ve been following Aptera since it’s original roll out. I think it might be 5 or 6 years. I just want one while I’m still alive! I love this car and just want the two I ordered. I’m 74 hope I get them before my 75th birthday. Cathy Zeiler
Let's goooooooooooo
When will you guys actually make this car?
Never, it's just a fraudulent vaporware investment scam
Is that Celia R. Gooding’s voice? :0
Great to see the progress and development here unlike Elio motors.
Elio was clearly a scam. Aptera could still fail because they have set a very ambitious goal but no reasonable person could call them a scam with what we can clearly see happening.
