All of the brutal death metal albums I own: Deeds of flesh: gradually melted, trading pieces, and path of the weakening, LOVE gradually melted and trading pieces. Devourment: 1.3.8/Molesting the decapitated. Really not the biggest fan of that one. Disentomb: misery. Pretty good but most of the songs are kind of all the same. Dying Fetus: all of the old albums, infatuation to war of attrition. LOVE em all. Gorgasm: masticate to dominate. Really like this one. Putrid pile: first four albums. LOVE those albums. Pyrexia: sermon of mockery. Really good but I kind of forget about this album. Severe Torture: the first two albums, LOVE those two, really fast, very few slams, first album has an ultra sharp and fuzzy guitar tone, and the vocals are absolutely disgusting. Splattered Cadaver: merciless butchery. Really obscure, really nasty sounding album, very similar to progression towards evil. Suffocation: effigy, pierced, and despise the sun. Love those albums. Visceral disgorge: ingesting putridity. Very catchy slam.
I been listening to death metal over 25 years and I appreciate being able to have guys like Julian who cast a much wider net than I do when fishing for good BDM, so it's lovely to have someone do a lot of the heavy lifting when it comes to filtering out the hacks, because the volume of BDM coming out compared to when I first got into bands like dying fetus, internal bleeding and mortal decay as a white trash teen growing up in South Jersey in the late 90s, it's impossible to keep up with all the new releases. Julian thank you for your contribution to metal. 🌲🚣🏼♂️🏕️👹🦖
I'm the biggest Dying Fetus fan... So I can definitely agree with you with Killing on Adrenaline! Their brand new 2023 album is so sick! One of their best for sure! Best trio out there in Deathmetal!! Skinless are awesome too! That album is so great! I'm going to check out some of those honourable mentioned bands right now! Thanks for the great videos

ill easily admit im a noob with this style of music of death metal but I can say that a lot of the bands you talked about are acts that ive seen at the few times I went to MDF ! all of it is insanely fun !
For such a youngstaw you have an excellent tasted on Death my friend!!!!…Hard to find now dayz… im so happy i have been a death metal fan since i was born….
Awesome list dude! I'm gonna have to do a list of my own of just straightforward brutal death metal releases but it'll be hard to manage since there's such good shit in the scene.
I grew up in upstate ny I got too see skinless so many times with such amazing bands they brought in. From anal blast ,cryptopsy, suffocation, devourment, dying fetus ect. I miss there hometown venue saratoga winners. Salam was a bitch who owned it sold it then it was burnt down for the money. I remember being there for the from sacrifice too survival video. It was taken in the parking lot of winners in Latham ny.
The Disgorge debut is really a masterpiece(Cranial Impalement is just a comp of their demos). It's so short tho that I usualy listen to it twice in a roll. There was a day not long ago that I listened to that album 7 times.
Cranial Impalement is not a comp. Only 4/8 songs are on the demo. Just like how Blasphemy Made Flesh isn't a comp because a few songs were on their demo.
@@Morphoidism But it is. It is a comp os their unreleased 96 demo plus their 95 demo. BMF on the other hand, while having tracks that were on the demo, they were rerecorded for the album.
Wow! Shocked and stoked by some of your choices, many shared. Very much digg your thorough and pinpoint summarized descriptive reasoning for your favorites, and discernment of sounds and elements. We share a lot of preferences, opinions and some top 10s. I digg your microcompartmemtalization of subgenredom, and hate when people whine about it, because the more specified, the more you're able to articulate and find your preferences. I gotta say, Dehumanized,.'Prophecies Foretold' I consider BDM, and easily top 5. Wasn't sure if you were excluding some of the foundational gods intentionally; or had BDM as your only parameter... But the almighty Suffocation; Pierced From Within is probably tied for #1, with Suffocation 'Despise The Sun'; and as my rules are kinda bullshit cheatery; Deprecated 'Deriding His.Creation' is a 3rd tie for #1,. with the original production edition, even though it's 4 songs. I was stoked that Hobbes joined and added a 5th song to their catalog, somehow maintaining the integrity and identity of the music, completely Deprecated. It 's Diego's most severe, vigorous, pummeling and intelligible vocal performance and arrangement of any album since. Savant Derek Boyer becoming Suffo's bassist was huge. I spoke to Terrance Hobbes at a show, and he told me they have at least an entire LP's worth of fully composed new songs, with OG members, but somehow, it just has not had any label's support or interest; which is fucking tragic; plus he assured me it is some serious, A grade material, proud of it, in the can, just wasting.away; he was bummed, but just gave that, "you know how shit goes" shrug, and.that's just his character; Suffo are such accessible, kick it with fans on just a laid back, no ego basis, no stuffiness, solid individuals; and love their fans; and it shows in their performance, music and social conduct and.nature. Also, Pyrexia 'Sermon Of Mockery', another blueprint to BDM, not over shadowed by evolution of the sound, but maybe their.follow.up endeavors and experimenting; however, to see Guy Marchais brought into Suffo, just another gift of the universe. Then onto Deeds of Flesh... Easily 'Trading Pieces' secures top 5; for me, Path Of The Weakening is neck and neck, despite approaches, POTW is a whirlwind of marathon relentlessness, thematic, adrenaline; production, sound, memorability; no compromise to their identity, but an epic of expansion and versatility and dimension of brutality. Gorgasm 'Bleeding Profusely', so fucking well described and says the world of their formidable tenacity and brilliance for it to edge out 'Stabwound Intercourse', love their contrast of beauty, melancholy and annihilation, vocal trade-off delivery, just apeshit. Also, vocal intelligibility, in death metal, and arrangement in complex structures and patterns, that is a huge bonus for me, not totally necessary, but most favorites reflect that, and audible bass! (TON from Ohio is another 3 piece yhat is of United Guttural, Repulse, Corpsegristle, UB, Pathos, etc. era that released a new insane epic after many years, 3 man, 3 vocalist formula, hectic, heavy, breakneck, versatile, peep it!) INVERACITY! Circle of Perversion, I was not expecting; that is not heralded enough, what a pummeling, ruthless onslaught, every BDM element present, production has a distinct atmosphere; absolutely ruthless and pummeling, with speed assaults galore, and their pinch harmonics and catastrophic breakdowns might break bones of fragile listeners. Also tremelo blastbeat rollercoaster runs which remind me of Deeds, it all flows so well. Essential. Regurgitaion, another album I was happy to see, definitely more slept on and influential, essential. One of the most brightly and obscene shirts in my collection is courtesy of those gentlemen, I have doubles, one is falling apart, but the lyrics carved into a limbless torso on the back, and how unable for civilians not to notice unlike so many more graphic and insane shirts that might become background noise, with he gorgeously executed, warm toned and blatant masterpiece on the front, shirt is a hall of famer as well. Colonize The Rotting was a one man project, after others left. That 6 song EP is so unmerciful and well done, and the complete blur of arms inhumanly terrorizing that drumkit while doing vocals is priceless. The cat passed at an early age, but the writing and execution captured a Pinnacle of one man potentiality in BDM, nothing missing or falling short, find it being played a lot. ETERNAL SUFFERING, 'Drowning In Tragedy'!! That is an absolute beast and refreshing slab of raw, refreshing, and somehow poetic, pissed off platter from 98/99 that has earned a spot Similarly lyrically diverse, and absolutely crushing, and pummeling while almost having an entrancing vibe, and at one point successfully using a female operatic singer performance is SCATTERED REMNANTS, Destined To Fail, hits a top spot. I will cut it off here with Pentagoria '...And The Sky Bled Gore', and Disfigured 'Prelude To Dementia', and fuck, Iniquity 'Forbidden Lore'. This shit is hard! Will be watching a lot more
i'd say Skinless is more slammy or proto-slam than brutal death, but progression towards evil is one of my favorite death metal albums of all time, i fucking love it
