- In this video I'll talk about some interesting ideas for new gamemodes that could be added on geometry dash 2.3 update. Also there are some cool levels and memes! I hope you'll enjoy it!

I feel however these new game mode ideas are getting a bit complicated, but people implementing these ideas in levels gives them their spark of light.
These aren’t complicated at all but the 2nd one works too similar to swingcopter

Why did RUclips translate it to "Discussion, discussion, discussion."
the "bouncer" was taken from a game called "dash till puff 2" which was released on the appstore, coming from the level "maze of mayo"
so another gamemode with similar origins to the wave, neat
The "teleport" somewhat originates from Final Dash 2.2, fan game made by BootDarkGames :)
gotta remember that the swing was based off "Swing Copters"

This is the same with wave, most of them thought that if you held it would dash forward and change the opposite gravity after you stop holding, but now that type of wave is just called a skateboard.

the 2.3 gamemode is platformer exclusive (im pretty sure).. its an attack mode. you can attack enemys and an enemies tab will be placed in the editor for people to place enemies and you can make your own enemies with hp, armor and more.. similar to forlorns attack button that was shown inside the gd files

my idea for a gm:
Comet (included if astral divinity was a main level, heavily nerfed)
constantly static in midair, moving in a straight line located where the portal was
y position can be affected by orbs in the usual way (dash orbs are rendered useless however)
hold to slam down into the ground like a black orb, release to go back to the straight line
portals work normally too
I came up with several different gamemode ideas, but my personal favorites include the missile and hopper. The hopper is basically similar in design to the bouncer, and it is capable of jumping mid-air -- basically a cube that can double jump -- and it works very well in platformer. If the swing is a gravity ship, then the missile is a gravity wave. I first remember seeing it in Mission Madison, and the design for it is exactly how it is shown from in there, and I think it would work well in platformer -- unlike the wave, unless RobTop decides otherwise. If I could add a gamemode, these two would definitely make it in there. The colors of the portal I decided are both green-ish colors -- I don't remember the missile's portal color in Mission Madison, so I decided to settle with a color in between green and yellow for the missile, and for the hopper I chose teal.
I also thought of an idea for a platformer swing -- a helicopter / chopper (second name most likely imo), that can switch gravity mid-air without looking very goofy doing so. I haven't designed the helicopter / chopper yet, though. Maybe trying to implement a helicopter / chopper to replace the swing in platformer mode and getting it to work more like a gravity jetpack would cause RobTop to change his mind about not adding the swing to platformer, but I doubt it. (Perhaps a Geode modder might implement this eventually... idk man.) There's so many good gamemodes that the community has made up over the years.

I call the bouncer Springboard but knowing Robtop Called Swingcopter the Swing, if Springboard was official, it would most likely be called Spring.

My thought is the Cursor gamemode from the level Mission Madison. It automatically bounces when it collided to hitboxes except of spikes, when holding the screen, it will steeps, and the bouncing will become faster, adding more speed when holding.
The bouncer is the best custom gamemode in my opinion, it feels so RobTop like and I really love that
I'm currently working on one level with my fan gamemode idea. I call this gamemode "Skate". When you hold down the left button, the Skate charges the height of its jump, and only when you release the left button it jumps. I have all the triggers and even it's model ready, but it's hard for me to decorate the level. Wish me luck i guess

the unnamed one can be called the old name for the wave: "the dart". coz that sounds more fitting

I had a gamemode idea that goes up constantly and teleports down (like a spider orb pointing down) when you click. I got the idea because I noticed every orb had a gamemode similar to it except for black orb
Reversed gravity just makes you fall down and teleport up on click, while mini increases the move speed but doesnt affect the teleport

The Drifter. Starts out going diagonally. Hold to go straight forward, release to go back to diagonally, but in the other way (if you were going diagonally down, you would go up instead). Basically wave + purple dash orb.
I like the first 2. I called the 2nd one you showed "The Worm" in one of my own levels.

Also, I don't mind new gamemodes, as long as they are not pain to control. Since the official gamemodes are easy to predict what to do and how they will react, I feel like a "bouncer" would usually be mixed with gravity switch, without warning the player. We're still far from perfecting 2.2, let alone be prepared for 2.3.

When I was a kid I had this old, infinitely generated gd clone with didferent gamemodes paired with their own music/obstacles. Basically, choose one of the 8 or so levels and it will have its own gamemode, music and obstacles, but forever until u die. It had interesting ones and 2 out of these 3
I think the games that you are talking about are called dash till puff and dash till puff 2 i wouldn't call them gd clones but they are pretty similar to gd

I had another gamemode idea with the same name "Bouncer", but it's just a cube where the restitution relative to ground or ceilings is 1
I think there dhould be a platformer level exclusive game mode called the sling shot, and you basically sling with the chosen direction and power and wherever you land you stick there, like, for instance, a wall, but once you stick there you cant move, unless you sling yourself again
I remember making a level containing as many gamemode concepts anyone can think of. The level still exists in the servers. :>
I have an idea for a game mode, called the “Scorpion”. It will be like the ball, except you need to HOLD to change gravity; if you release, it goes back to normal gravity. I guess it would latch onto to the ceiling with its stinger thing.
next gamemode could be like a wave bit with the dash orb if u hold and if u tap its like wave

Hey, i had a gamemode idea (that is called teleporter too) but it works differently :
You dont move, instead theres a square moving up and down. When you click you teleport to this square.
Some of you might notice that this gamemode came from Jetpack joyride :D
I have an idea for a gamemode, I call it The Jackhammer.
It is constantly jumping, has a low gravity jump, and when clicking, it will dash straight towards where it's hammer is pointing. Kinda like the Spider but heavier.
I think that dash game mode is usually called the comet, but it’s basically ship with extra steps
The one in ToE4 level is literally just one of fans depiction of swing copter.
Personally I'm more interested to the teleporter gamemode since it looks like a reworked spider that allows you to clip through blocks instead.
My idea : Flying version of the teleporter shown similar to the one in Jetpack Joyride. You'll see a transparent circle and you can move it up and down using either arrows on your phone or keys on a keyboard. Once you let go of either up or down you'll teleport to where the circle is
I hope they add tags to levels in 2.3 like horror or colorful.

i have an idea:
its just the ball with wave physics and when you tap/click it shoots you in the other gravity direction, so basically its the wave with a blue orb always attached to it and you cant hold to move, just tapping (or clicking)
the one that looks like the swingcopter in TOE 4 is commonly known as a skydasher

If you want a gamemode which teleports you when you tab,then just use teleport orbs and change them to "flip gravity"
Considering how Robtop's modes follow the same premise of "affecting vertically in 1 direction with 1 click", idea: Angon (angular + cannon)
Works:
You can direct yourself up to +89° upward/down depending on gravity. Hold for arrow guide of direction (high level players can tell with holding time) release to go. Potential is insane.
I think it wold be interesting if the worlds gamemode thing that's getting added in 2.21 would be a roguelite type game with user created levels, maybe something like the 100 Mario live challenge from super Mario maker and the final boss would be the demon behind bars that hasn't done anything for 7 years

I have a new game mode idea. It’s called the ticker. _HERE’S HOW IT WORKS_ : It moves like the wave except it always goes up and you can’t hold. When you tap, you get sent to the bottom of the screen immediately like a spider, but you keep going up.

honestly the bouncer idea has the most potential for its simplistic concept yet you can do so much with it

my idea for new gamemode is you can control your icon up down left right (platformer only)
that reaction to dying at the Windy Landscape ship is so valid though, especially after getting far many times, dying there can be so annoying.
The reason it looks like a swingcopter in ToE 4 is because we knew what the vehicle would like but not how it would play, so it was just up to speculation
i feel the bouncer is the most realistic thing to be added as it doesnt have the glaring flaws that the others have. its not just a dash orb swing like the unnamed 2nd one or have implementation issues like the teleporter (what happens if theres no other side? what happens if you click on a platform thats hollow to save objects?)
yeah it really looks official, to quote my reply from the other comment: "ngl the bouncer sounds really fun, it just needs to be tweaked a bit like make it a lil less gravity and spacey and shorten the jump height or something like that whatever it needs to make it feel good to play. i want it to be added in GEOMETRY DASH"

If I was to make a game mode, it would be called the blaster. Basically, when you click, it shoots at something close to you and makes you unable to jump, the shooting would have a cooldown which can be set by the player.

The last one is def the coolest, but it should prob be called the mole game mode instead of the teleporter

I thought of of a game mode called the glider where when you hold the button you fall down but when you let go you jump once then glide until you hold again
I made a game mode it’s called the spider copter and it’s pretty self explanatory (spider but you can switch in midair and it has ship physics platformer only)
i call it, the buggy (like a small vehicle). you tap/hold to dash forward and each time you dash, its a sudden burst of speed it works like the robot; you can only hold for a certain amount of time each click. this does NOT add to the jump count shown at the end of the level. i’ll try to make a video out of it (if i somehow copied the train, i wouldn’t have known because i don’t know how it would work)
If Robtop adds a new gamemode, IT BETTER BE UNIQUE FROM THE REST! The first 5 gamemodes were very original ( the robot is somewhat original but it's really just a complicated cube) ESPECIALLY The weird looking fast ball and the flying eye ball!

An idea that i had from forever: the FlyDash gamemode (shown in my old Thermodynamix showcase)
Maybe one where when you hold it dashes but it jumps when you let go and the power of the jump is dependent on how long you hold

The first two gamemodes can be seen in Dash Till Puff 2, albeit the second one is a tad bit different in there.
I could see the bouncer gamemode in the game, but the other 2 gamemode feel more like gimmicks you could do with triggers.
1:00 i already imagined a gamemode like that, i'd name it "Drill" or "Driller" (i picked this specific name since the other names that i had in mind where too similiar to the ship/plane)
ToeIV is my favorite démon so id love to see the dashy mode in the game

That was the original name for the Wave, and the file names.
Triangle gamemode: it can double jump after you pressed an orb with the abbility of said orb
