I too have been trying these games. The video explained the text file issue. Cheers my man. I got my roms from an image on arcade punks.
I never thought about them. It also turned out that the games were in fact located in archive.org.

@@agentgroovington9700 What's Maddog? Is that a laserdisc game? Not all laserdisc games are compatible with Daphne. Besides the list that I provided there might be another half a dozen which are compatible.
Could you just put the whole Daphne folder you just created into a torrent? That would make it so much easier, we could just drag and drop then 😅 very cool tutorial though, when it comes to Daphne emulation every video I’ve seen so far has been over complicated, but I actually watched the whole of this video. But making a torrent would save an awful lot of time for someone not technical (like me) and wanting to play 😊 keep up the good work!

@Nation of Batocera You can download from Mega with the jDownloader. With that, you can use reconnect and you didnt have a fixed ip, that changes yours and with that, you did not have a download limit ;)

Another way around paying for the downloads is if you have a VPN and using chrome browser. Download your limit, switch to another country on your vpn and then duplicate the google tab, close the original and download again. It resumes where it stopped at

I noticed on the batocera website it uses hypseus singe now, I was wondering if it supports bezels because on the Windows version and the emuelec version of hypseus they support bezels
the cheapest way around the download limit on those sights is use a vpn and keep connecting to different servers for different ip
The files you need actually were on that internet archive page. There just not in the roms folder. there in vldp and vldp_dl folders.
In the vdlp folder, I only saw Ace. I now see them within the torrent links, but the vdlp torrent files are not downloading anything. The vldp_dl is downloading. But the other one is dead on arrival.
@@BatoceraNation actually I think I was using a different page on internet archive my bad. I was using archive.org/details/daphne-g2g I downloaded the daphne-G2G.zip (12.9gb) and it has everything you need .
And I also found them here archive.org/details/LASERDISC_GAMES . Sorry I was watching your video on my phone while killing time at work and when you said you couldn't find them on the internet archive I was like wait a sec I know I downloaded them from there a few weeks ago

Is Daphne designed to handle those games? If so, have you tried it in Batocera? If so, what happened?
@@BatoceraNation People got them running i still try to figure out what i am doing wrong. It's just like on a windows machine you have to have a singe emulator. In Batocera they use hypseus replacement of the old Daphne emulator.

Has anything changed with version 34? I have a bunch of games that just show a black screen. I can hear the sound but no video. Any tips? cliff hanger is the one i am having issues with

no matter what I do or how many times I reconfigure this I cannot get my joystick controller to work with Daphne only my keyboard.

Existe t il un autre moyen de sortir de l emulateur daphne la touche escape est la seule touche sur le clavier qui ne fonctionne pas, et la combinaison alt+f2 non plus.

I don't believe those are compatible. When I was working on this tutorial, I tried those Singe games and they were not working.
What buttons do you use when you're crossing the drawbridge in Dragon's Lair? When you're falling you need to take out your sword and kill those tentacle things - I don't know if I can't get the right combo or I'm just really really bad at the game :)

No. I can't remember if they are compatible or not. But if I recall correctly, I tried them back then and had no luck.
This video was very helpful! I am having one issue with exiting games in Daphne. I mapped the ALT + F4 to the Hotkey and Start but unable to get it to exit game. Any ideas?
Did you set the Exit keys in the Keyboard Configuration? Look at the video at around 20 minutes for an explanation.

Sfortunatamente, non esiste un livello facile per Daphne. Si muove molto velocemente. Si tratta di tempismo. Non sono molto chiaro sull'altra tua domanda.
Not my cup of tea these, in particular the point and click type.
My first taste of those was a Discworld demo on the PS1 and although playing a cartoon animated game was defo different it did really hold my interest.
I didn't find all the games entertaining, but some were actually fun and visually appealing.
Yup most of them are just you have to do hard work to watch a cartoon. Mostly just remembering when to push the action button at a certain time or what direction on the joystick to move.
Astron Belt and similar games were more like conventional video games where you did not have to do a specific thing and a specific time, if a enemy ship got post you you did not die.
That Sega Driving game looked real armature and lame, they could not even keep the image of the car lined up on the video of the road, just a glorified Action Max game that was more advanced compared to the Action Max but still a lame linear game they had a sort of home version of this game called Video Driver where you put a device that has a toy car on it that moves left and right according to how you move the steering wheel controller.
Time traveller game in Batocera?
If the game is not in the list mentioned in the tutorial, then it's not compatible.

Could you kindly help me? If I launch the game it loads a bit and finally returns to the games menu. Maybe the framefile is wrong?

hello, i did everything but the Daphne lauchner asks everytime for Roms:
ROM 5473c couldn't be found in roms/astron/, or in ./roms/astron.zip
Du hast doch eine aussagende Fehlermeldung. Dir fehlt eine Datei! Oder was möchtest du? Dann solltest du evtl. eine Frage stellen
I am having a maddening time trying to get my joystick working with Daphne. All the buttons work but the axes refuse. I have scoured the internet and tried *everything* I have been able to find, and nothing can help me with my specific problem. It appears to think it's a gamepad with two analogs and a Dpad, not an arcade joystick. I have changed custom.ini and hypinput.ini more times than I can count, and gotten everything to work except for the joystick. Even Pad2Key is failing me, as left and right seem to work, yet up and down do not.
