Thank you, I'm 27 yrs old right now, when I was young I'm always watching our neighbors playing these types of games, they have popular PC games and consoles until ps1. sometimes they let me play on their console, but most of the time I'm just watching them play, that is why I never get the chance to play most video games /retro games back then. Thank you for the content, this is the ultimate time travel for me.

I’m running the latest batocera 35 and dosbox pure appears broke, at least for me. When i click on a game the gui lists every file in the dos roms folder despite each game having its own folder. also when I set autostart for one game and return to emulationstation to choose another game, the game I previously chose will run regardless of which game I choose. Any help would be great. I read something to create dosbox.bat files for a workaround but i dont know how and where to put them.

Did n't find any problems coping the files. Only add the .pc at the end of the files and they were playable without decopressing/changing anything else.

You need to copy the DOS games into the Dos folder. Make you add the correct extension to your DOS games folders. Look at the info.txt for the correct extensions.

Anyone knows why in batocera all the zip games suddenly doesnt run? It sends me to the prompt it doesnt recognizes the files. In others ocassions, if the games had more than one executable file (like dos4gw.exe, dosbox.bat, or setup.exe) it will appear a menu to select what file run... but that does not happen anymore
Great video! It helped me a lot when I installed Batocera on an HP Elitedesk 800 G2 a couple of mopnths ago. However I'm using a wireless USB keyboard which works just fine, but when in DOS the down arrow acts as ENTER and also the letters Q, W, A, S, Z doesn't work at all making it impossible to install any software. Do you have any idea how to solve this?
Very useful as always. I didn't know the trick of pressing right on the keyboard to select to autorun the correct exe.
I really wish I waited to sort out my dos games. I followed the wiki on the batocera site, and there are so many unnecessary steps. It took so long to do. Like all games being renamed to maximum of 8 characters 🙄
I was also starting to follow the wiki and info steps too, when I discovered the easier method by accident. That Pure DOSBox is awesome!
Anybody know how to attach CD ROMS for games that require it, is there a native mount iso option for batocera like native dosbox?

En mi Raspberry Pi 4 copié Mortal Kombat II de MS-DOS, ya Batocera lo reconocío y lo ejecuta perfectamente. Pero yo no quiero jugar con teclado, quiero usar mi control asi como hago con los otros "cores". ¿Como puedo configurar mi control? ¿Existe dentro de Batocera algo parecido a JoyToKey?

Why PUREDOS isn't seeing any .exes ....I named every folder mygame.dos and still does not ...ran update gamelists too...Am I missing a step?
Try renaming the folders using the extension ".pc" instead of ".dos" That's how I have them set up and they work.
How do you undo Auto Start after you set a game to it?

Unfortunately doing this setup cause all of the files to mesh together as one when launching Dosbox. What actually helped was instead of adding .pc at the end of the folders, I put all the contents inside each folder in its own zip archive, and that did the trick.
Could you do a tutorial video on how to properly get psx bios files , upload them and the games ( .cue .bin) please ? I am stuck on why my psx rom games won't run on my batocera 30 version when going to psx emulator click on the game it just blanks out and goes yo menu screen or just run the psx intro and stop at the logo. Thanks !
For the Bios, look for the video "Installing Batocera 30" on our channel. For PSX, look for the Duckstation tutorial on our channel.
Furthermore, I have a tutorial on how to compress those .cue and .bin files to save space and to have them up and running in PSX since the emulators accept chd compressed files to run PSX.
Hello, how is the tutorial, very good, but there is an easier way to convert the folder (name of the game) to (name of the games). pc for games in Dos and for ps3 games, it also works, it is very useful for users who they have many games for example 1000 or 2000 games in case of DOS the program passes them in less time than renaming them one by one thanks

I have a problem with the fact that for some reason the terminal opens instead of the menu.
On the installation of 1942 The Pacific Air War you put it in the root directory. Why wouldn't you keep it in the DOS ROM folder?
V35 ruined the autoboot files 😢 it took me ages to set that up!!!

How do you access the virtual keyboard? I cannot type anything when game is running...
Hello. I just updated to v35. Now when i load a dos game, the dos menu is completely different. Now it shows exe files for every dos game I have, not just the files for the particular game. Also, when I set an autostart, I get a message about Serialize warning....loaded into different program type..risk of system crash....any help?

You're right. It's the Demo. Now I don't remember. If you had asked me back then, I would have remembered. I do remember that I found there at Archive.org. Somewhere in that first link.

I think this may be broken in v31RC1 (31MAY21 release). I am not getting the RA Dosbox Pure menu screen for any of my games, even if I make that the default EMU.
Since Batocera 31 is still Beta, some things may be broken until it is finalized.

Also, I had to adjust the emulation settings just to get rid of that annoying blurred image quality.

@@BatoceraNation Well, that's understandable, considering how tricky it would be to implement.
I have just got Dos games working in Batocera. But there was a problem not covered in this tutorial, which is that when you are in a setup program to setup soundblaster e.t.c., the key to save is ESC. But pressing that key results in quitting back to batocera menu, rather than saving in the setup program. Similar, in games if you go to options, and want to go back to the main menu by pressing ESC, the game quits back into batocera menu. This has to do with something call Game Focus, which can be toggled by the Scroll Lock key (by default). However, that key is missing on my laptop. Som the headache is, how to change that Game Focus toggle key to another key, so that one can enable Game Focus while in setup-program, or in-game. Anyone have a solution for that?

I would suggest you get a USB keyboard & mouse gaming on a laptop keyboard is terrible practice and track pads suck 😅

I assume that you have the DOS version of the games? If it doesn't install using the method described in the video, there is not much that you can do.
Hey, so I have the Total DOS Collection, which is thousands of games, there is no way I'm gonna rename all of these to .pc. Is there any alternative?

Ciao io ho un problema con batocera 38 i giochi ps2 ,ps3,switch, tutto ok,ma con i giochi mame Atari amiga geo ecc.. vanno lenti molto lenti come se ci mancasse la gpu come mai , ho provato anche la versione 37 che andava benissimo prima ,ma ha lo stesso problema ,ho cambiato pc ma niente gli arcade sono lenti , io ho le rom su un ssd esterno ma da oggi a un mese fa va sempre così mi potresti dare una mano grazie ciao

Unfortunately, flash is not supported in Batocera.
So I am installing the batocera os on a hdd and the download is stuck at 67%
When too many people are trying to download from the server, it might get stuck. Try it again. It will eventually work.... unless your internet is really slow.
