Do I need to move the CPS games out of their folders into the main FBA folder to get this to work? I don't see CPS systems in the game collection settings. I'm on Batocera 31.
So, I did find the 'create collection from theme' that has cps in it, but i can get the cps games to show up in the collection. I've tried moving them into their own folder, combining them into one folder and leaving them in the fbneo folder. Can't get them to show up...
@@subskull33 Same here, I don't see CPS systems. I saw Psikyo collection and added it and the logo did show up but I don't know where I put the roms because Psikyo collection is not in the roms folder! 🤔 I noticed you have a bunch of duplicates games in fbneo, so from what I saw if you want to have a cleaner look you have to delete each individual game ? Or is there a way for batocera to automatically get rid of the duplicates? Just wondering because going through 6k games individually is going to take really long time 😭
Hello. I have installed FinalBurn Neo romsets.. but everytime I open a game it says that i have missing romset and Phoenix.key and CRC error. How to fix this mate? Thanks for the help advise
Hello. I think the link to IA for the 'FB non merged' set may be incorrect as that link does not take you to the place shown in your tutorial. It now shows only 'roms' and 'support' and NOT the section you recommend to use. Can I just confirm that it IS the NON-MERGED set that is required please? Thanks for all the tutorials. Like many others I've gone from nothing to a great collection in a fraction of the time it would have normally taken for me to understand everything.
For cps 3 my street fight 3 games want to rewrite themselves and it freezes right before it starts the only way I can get out of it is to restart my pc
I switched from Retropie to Batocera and Bat is hands down a more polished and refined product imo. Retropie though it was more customizable just had a shtload more issues.
I'm using Batocera version 31 and for some reason, when I hit Select, I don't see the "Game Options" like yours 14:28 . That is a very important feature so I don't think the new version left out that feature. I tried different UI but none of them gives me that option. Also, for some of vertical arcade games, is there an option that'll display the original ratio instead of stretching it? Thanks,
With regards to the stretched vertical game issue. For main Games setting,(press start in main UI) what is your games ratio setting set too? And also what have you set for decoration setting? Are they both on auto? Then go into each system for CPS, FinalBurnNeo and Mame and select advanced system options for those (press select when in each system) What is game ratio and decoration set to for those? Auto for aspect and default for decoration? Edit: Actually for any games that should be vertical and arent you may have to long press A and select advanced game option and set decoration to 'arcade vertical default'. For each game that needs it. That should work. I tried setting aspect to core provided and that works if selecting no decoration. If you select default decoration however you will get bezels but image is still stretched.
@@fonzitheman You're the man! 👍 I'm new to batocera so I didn't know about the long press A for more options and I also overlooked that decoration option. @@hnguyen500 Oh no problem, I thought maybe that long post would be a little messy to understand lol But hope its all working for you now. However I can tell you a great many people didnt realize they changed it and just thought they took that option away, just like I did lol Should of read the update notes I guess 😁
Fbneo text in the ROMs folder says that ROMs has to be version 1.0.0.0 only. But where can you find those ROMs? And even if you do will they actually work?
I was going back to this and thought Id seperate the cps1,2 and 3 roms into their own folders but then noticed they dont have their own folders so are not listed as sep systems in Batocera. Pity, would have been nice to have them show up in the systems selections as all sep systems. Like we can with MegaDrive, 32X and megacd. I know other OS's have this. I wish Batocera had that option too. Also wish PC Engine/PC Engine CD/Turbo Grafx16 and Turbo Grafx16 CD all had their own folder systems too. And Famicom diff to NES as well. Or have them as optional collections, like they have done with megadrive and 32x,giving you option to group them together or keep them as sep systems. Perhaps you could mention that to Nicolas BN? 😁

Awesome work as always is it possible that you have a tutorial on cloning a batocera drive from an m.2 ssd to a bigger SSD? or would have to start over again? Thank you so much
You're the second person to ask this question within the last 24 hours. There might be a way but I would have to experiment with the software. I will add it to my list. For the time being, the easiest thing to do is to copy and paste your roms, bios, and theme folders from your smaller drive to your bigger drive (once you've installed Batocera on the 4TB drive).
I'd say it's simple:. Just backup everything under /userdata (same as the share drive), which is where the bios and roms dirs are. When after you install Batocera on a new system, simply overwrite those folders with your backup.
First, CPS runs under Final Burn Neo. Diff between FBNeo and Mame is as Batocera Nation said, some work better in one or the other. But many however only work on one, for eg many of the capcom titles will only run in FBNeo. Like the SF games for eg. And many will only work with mame and certain mame cores. But as mentioned, some work on both but you will find some work way better under one or the other. Indeed though, FBNeo and Mame can be confusing and troublesome as to what to use in what.

Default is hotkey and start at same time. By default the hotkey is select button on a controller unless you changed it to something else in the ES button mapping setting. For eg if you use PS4 controller you can set the hotkey to the PS home button.
Getting games to run that work in the Wii emulator and getting into the game settings to change difficulty settings and disable the demo sounds of games in their attract mode and that NEO GEO Logo that plays that little tune every minute or so. In Neo Mr. Do you can set it so it does not have the mode where before you start playing the game it shows you how to play the game. It has that in the Wii emulator, you hold a certain button combination when the NEO GEO Logo comes up before the game loads, I've forgotten what that combo was since I have not played my Wii in a long time since I got Genesis Mini and discovered Batocera which I've been playing games on a lot.
I figured out how to get into the settings on Mr. Do, F2 (at least that is how my system is set up) on the Keyboard brings up the NEO GEO Menu where you can change the Soft DIP settings and do a Hardware test and Book Keeping where you monitor how many games have been played and how long the games have been played and on what days. Hitting TAB and then enabling the Test Switch does the same thing.
I got NEO GEO Working but I can't got NEO GEO CD or NEO GEO Pocket to work, when I try to load a game it acts like it's going to load but then after a few seconds goes back to the game select screen, I made sure the BIOS were present and even coped the BIOS File to the ROMs directory that the game files are. When I moved the BIOS files for NEO GEO CD out of the BIOS Folder and tries to run a game I got the missing BIOS file error and when I moved them back I no longer got the error message so it seems that the correct BIOS are installed.
