I'm running Batocera v39 on Raspberry Pi4b. I used the method in the video and can't get it to work. It says that my bios is missing. Tried different working versions from different builds and no luck.

It's likely the bios you are using.

Thanks for the video. I have a related question though... what is the difference between MAME and NEOGEO and how would someone decide if they should rather use one or the other or both? I have my own build and feel great with all consoles but arcade games seem to kind of be all over the place. Thanks for any advice.

Neo geo is a console and MAME are normally arcade games related. Generally "MAME romsets" can often come with Neo Geo games also included as Neo Geo games are arcade-like.

@@JustJamie1983 Okay okay. So that is why NeoGeo emulation is preferred sometimes over MAME because there are many games that crossover between both, but console emulation is easier than arcade emulation?

Why replicate the BIOS files in the root directory and also in a separate dedicated folder? Is that neccesary?
