Awesome assist in Rocket League! The Epic version of RL is the only way to play it on Linux right now... the steam version recognizes linux and removes all online access.
Hey, I’m always building Batocera builds doing one now on RUclips, one thing I really wanted to know and can’t seem to find, if I’m hiding games within a system where does it store that information?, great videos by the way I learnt so much from your videos and I always tell everyone that your channel is the best on RUclips
We need to get Plug and play Guitar Hero and Rockband Instruments ! Hopefully one of the Devs come across this comment. I really feel thats the only thing missing from Batocera for what I use it for
I believe this is a Lutris problem. Since Lutris is still on version 0.5, not everything is going to work just yet.
@@BatoceraNation I pray for the day the team figures everything out. Its just such a Pain having to setup the controller (Guitar or Drums) in the emulator settings every time. Ive got every music game for PS2 and 3 and Love how I can load a machine with Batocera and have every system available but the guitar hero and rockband series are all Im missing. I feel the guitar hero and rockband instruments being able to plug and play are the only things that are missing for what I use Batocera for. Not sure if you are one of the devs but seriously either way I appreciate all of your tutorials youve helped me get everything perfect in my main setup ! Hopefully the message gets passed along 🙂
I would encourage you to post the Guitar and Drum controllers issue in Batocera's official forums at Batocera.org. The developers read that more than my posts here. They have addressed a number of requests throughout the years. Most recently, better Xbox One wireless gamepad support and support for Lightguns. If enough people back you up in your post over there, some developer will take notice.

I don't think anyone on the dev team owns such devices.
If you use Batocera on PC, maybe Clone Hero is something to test as
well? They have a native Linux port (but I never used it personally,
again, no guitar).

Btw botacera is based on arch so you can install apps with pacman like gzdoom for doom

No fix on that yet since there are no browser feature. Lutris is still being worked on. When Lutris 1.0 comes out, there should be a solution.
Could you make a tutorial for getting 3rd party Wii controllers to work?

This was a very informative video, thanks for that. Yet I have a question, which is most probably a stupid one.
When all this is set up and I have installed all my GOG/EPIC/etc games. Is it possible to have them started directly from Emulationstation instead of starting first Lutris itself? If yes, how exactly can they be mapped? Since normally "Windows" games needs to go into the "Windows" folder with a .pc suffix. Thanks.
I know this is a long time ago the video was posted, but I was wondering about the same thing. If it was possible to run a game that was setup in lutris directly from emulationstation by making a shortcut or something like it.

Also +1. To be fair to Batocera Nation he just keeps on giving, perhaps not for everyone including myself but it goes to show how capable Batocera is. For me it will always be about retro emulation, modern games just don't really do it for me... But then I am touching 50 years old!

@@fonzitheman I stopped at ps3 and tbf it had been gathering dust for the last 2 years until I resurrected it last week for my 5 year old grandson who has 'at the drop of a hat' become obsessed with Minecraft.. Hardly pushing the architecture but at least life is breathed into it once again!
I have an issue where the fullscreen when set to 1080p takes up only a quarter of the monitors screen in the upper left. Also, none of the Origin games I install appear in the Lutris app outside of the Origin OS.

Nice vid bro! But quick one! So, I'm using a PS3 controller on my build, which is automatically being taken as an XBOX controller for PC games. By playing directly from Lutris do I also get that kind of controller emulation?

not sure if its just my install or if this broke in v36 but i cant seem to get EPIC to work.
after installing Lutris i dont have the option for "show advanced options" like you show @10:26
infact i dont have that bottom bar at all meaning i dont have a save option so after turning off "enable feral gamemode" the setting wont stay because i cant save it. this may be my issue but not sure how to get the save option.
i was able to get a game to install but i cant get it to launch. some help would be appreciated if anyone can.
Me too! I can’t even install the launchers because there’s no install button! Did you fix it?
@@km_6433 sadly no I never got it to work. I ended up installing Heroic launcher and using it for epic games.
@@WrenchAvengers oh, I’ll use that then. Are there any that have Origin launcher besides lutris?
@@km_6433 personally in not sure as I didn't try to install origin. I think heroic had epic and GOG. Not sure if there are other origin options.

Question- anyone else have an issue with their Steam Flatpak install after the last update?
Mine completely broke, wouldnt get past the verification system before bumping back to the batocera menu. Un/Reinstalled and same issue.... very strange!!
Steam flatpak is only working in big picture mode for me as well. Booting games in emulation station just crashes. Starting Stram first (in big picture mode) and everything is running again for me.
@@Stefan-xm7ti it always came up on big picture mode, which is good... but after the update it wouldn't open again
@@bigrob029 if you participate in the BETA it will fix it. Open your steam on batocera go to Settings - Account - parciipate in beta. You have to do it fast.. you only have 30 seconds
@@andrewbecerra3445 eesh... yeah, it does the verification thing and then fails out quicker than that. I am thinking I might just do a fresh install of the whole thing and see if i have any luck with it. thanks for the tip!!
great work, thx! but i have an issue: did exactly the steps a few times with modifying /etc/x11/xinit/xinitrc, then batocera-save-overlay, restart and then lutris says "limit is not high enough ESYNC_LIMIT_NOT_SET". ulimit -Hn gives back 4096 but everything is exact as said. what can i do?
I'm all new to BC and pretty new to Linux over all, however I followed your guide but I don't have that flatpak menu that you have, my lutris app ended up in Ports. Any way to create a flatpak menu and move it? And when I try to launch Origin for the first time I get the message "Incompatible Wine version detected. Please switch to an Esync-capable version."
ciao i have tried to work lutris i have done almost all but when i enter the configuration for the games for toggle feral in the video i don't see the keys cancel and save and the option feral will appear always, the tv resolution is fullhd and the option for the resolution of lutris is made maximum 1920x1080 so how i can show the key save in the configuration screen? thank you
