Glenn has such a baby face, even now dare I say. I saw them this week live and they were so good! Chris looks a little like Peter Gabriel here.

He is! I have recognized this for decades but have always been afraid to say it to anyone for fear of being called crazy.

At the time of their initial success, Squeeze were more popular in the UK. Here in Canada the radio was heavily influenced by British new wave bands in the early 80s. I listened to lots of Squeeze songs on my FM car radio in '81 to '83 when I first got my driver's license here southern Ontario. At the time it seemed to be a phenomenon that was not happening as much in the US. Squeeze' succession of chartable hit songs was never embraced by America in the same way as Human League, The Fixx, Modern English, Billy Idol, Duran Duran, Spandau Ballet and the Eurythmics were back-in-the-day.

MTV coming along at there time was a death blow. Their image was a bit confused/lacking, unlike their music

It's Glenn mate, not Glynn. Stop saying Glynn mate!
