I've always been fascinated with underwater relics. Such cool finds. That spot is a gold mine
Great location and great explore. Thanks for comment and for watching.
You can make it seem like we are right there looking over your shoulder. Glueing us to the screen waiting with wide eyes to see what you found. That's talent.
Wow , how great to read and thanks for that.
You’re hilarious, I lost it when you were yelling at the kelp! Great finds.
Glad you enjoyed
Another one of your excellent video's my friend that had me sitting on the edge of my desk chair. You make me feel like I'm right there with you while you use the tongues to capture your prie and return to the surface. The only difference is I commend you on your speaking, as I would have been using more 4 letter words. Great finds and I'll be looking forward to the next hunt. Be Safe and Be Well my friend....
There you go. Some great small moments and enjoy it very much. Thanks Ted and greetings from us.
Exciting finds, I found myself grunting to help you get the pieces up, lol.
You and me both!

Greatly appreciate your kind words and your great support my friend. Thank you and stay safe.
@@WW2HistoryHunter totally deserved by u bro feel proud to be a viewer of this superb channel
Damn, watching you trying to get stuff up from the bottom, is worse than watching an action movie. I was almost hiding under a pillow, not able to handle the excitement 😂😂😂😂😂 Hilarious...
He he , good one Lottie and greatly appreciated :)
🤣🤣🤣
Those plates are absolutely gorgeous I am glad that you were able to get them great job proud to be German
Thank you so much!
Love the excitement of when you get it out of the water and it's what you expect it to be...Thank you... Stay safe..
You got that right!
Hello HH, could it be, that when you grabbed the second plate, ( in the Video at 13:27 ), another plate is visible in the Background 🤔
Greatings from Luxemburg!
Good eye
Could be
Real diving gear? I'm more and more excited where this channel goes. Can't wait.
Working on it and you will see the ww2historyhunter get wet and cold :) Thanks
Those bowls are amazing, great work getting those out, brilliant as always, nice WW2HH and EE.
Yes some true gems from the deep :) More to come Jez and greetings from us.
Food serving skills need improving you dropped the oyster of the 2nd plate. Great stuff as usual.
Yes! Thank you!
Very cool discoveries HH, the ROV is quite handy 👍👍👍👍
It sure is and thanks :)
12:23 it's a boat ladder, its usually on the rear of a sailboat
ok and thanks for watching.
There is a lot of that German electrical Bakelite stuff here in Ireland. Was Siemens that built our first hydro electric power station built on the river Shannon 1927-30 still in use today.
Good to know and thanks for watching.
Just a thought for pulling up some of the bigger items. You could make a dual prong hook for the rov to carry in the grapple. Both hooks would point in the same direction but spayed out about 20 degrees and come together just above the bend to a single eye for a line. The line could be kept away from the rov by using slip corks pegged on the line. A second person would be needed to feed the line from an sufficent distance to the side from the person controlling the rov.
Will look into that. Thanks David.
That's awesome. Those plates scrubbed up like they were made yesterday. Love the basket. Love the way your enthusiasm and excitement just explode from the screen. Found myself cheering at the screen, when you found that second plate. Terrific stuff. Well done my friend. Seriously cannot wait to see what else you found out there. And teasing with the aircraft tyre? Love it! :) Best Channel on RUclips. Best Team! Just made my day. Cheers to you all, Stay Safe and Well!
More secrets down there and we will discover more together Peter :) Thanks and keep safe.
I can’t get over how many complete plates you recover. Are they accidentally thrown out? Two great finds in one location on the same day. It’s a combination of luck and skill.
Well the Germans did discard and dump them just about anywhere you can imagine. Thanks for watching.
China is amazing. You must have a lot of patience, that Fifish would drive me crazy. Nice job.
Thanks 👍
What a little treasure trove you've found there. Those plates cleaned up very well indeed. Great to see the net idea being used very effectively 👍
Thanks 👍
hope the basket continues to work well for you, should save power on r.o.v and time ...... good job
Seems to work pretty well so far and will show more solutions later. Thanks Rob :)
You need some practice driving the Fifish. Very nice plates congrats.
Thanks Joe.
Since the basket is a success, how about a hook on a rope? Use the robot to lay the hook over the object then pull the rope and possibly retrieve the heavy "relic" from a dry vantage point.
Well there will be lots more coming when it comes to add ons and tools. Thanks Paul.
Very nice. That plates look amazing. Like they were just made.
Thank you! Cheers!
Beautiful plates. I wonder about the circumstance that resulted in them being thrown in there. Great location
My thoughts exactly and i guess they were just tossed in by some aircrew or alike after a meal or something... Thanks
Great video, probable would not hurt to install some rubber pads on the flat surfaces of the grabber.
Thanks for the tip!
Wonderful finds and the plates cleaned up so well! Diving gear in the future! Wow!
Thanks and will dive there more we think. Thanks.
Love your interaction with the ROV and talking to it, great finds, thank you for the share.
Glad you enjoyed it Jim and working with the rov is fun )
When you find the motorcycle I'll send you the plans for a lift bag to float it up to the surface.
Good stuff and thanks :)
Another great video. I would love to come and visit and see these things. I'm so glad that you share them with us.
Glad you like them Larry and greetings from us.
I felt like I was right there with you!! This was so much fun!
I'm so glad and thanks for that :)
“Holy Madonna” that was exciting!☺️
GLad you liked it :)
Great finds, great work 👍👍👍
Thanks 👍
Love your work. I'm a collector myself. Awesome
Thank you kindly
Another great underwater adventure with some top finds!
Well done & many thanks for sharing them with us 🙂
Glad you enjoyed it
When you were grabbing each plate I was yelling “Grab it,Grab it,Grab it!” I was so excited! Love your videos and that era of history!😎
Yay! Thank you!
You did a great job of cleaning those plates up. Fascinating to see the old electrical boxes and the literature you had on them. Thanks for showing them.
Glad you enjoyed it
Great video thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching and great explore it was. Thanks.
Those robotic arms are great on that mini sub
they really are yes. Thanks.

Thanks for watching.
Watched this last night I really love watching your videos little bit of info I've found about my uncle's 2 subs U116 and U377 will email you more info 😀
Cool, thanks
also for heaveyer items use a hook with a rope and manipulate the sub to attach the hook rope to item then pull up rope
I have a plate like that dated 1939
ok and thanks for watching.
glad u made the baskit its my idea and will cope easly with few items on heavy rope rather that pull on teather
that shiny thing looks like a extendable boat ladder
I think that could be it yes. Thanks for watching.
@@WW2HistoryHunter I love your fifish videos please keep up the good work 🙂👍🏻
Awsome gadget, i need 1, i love it
Very nice tool to go out exploring with.
@@WW2HistoryHunter yeah, hows the maintence?
Your narration of grabbing the dishes is the best. We need to send you external battery for checking your flashlights and tablets. Thanks again
He he , good one my friend and appreciated :)
Just to be in an area that has seen so much History alone before WWII would be a experience in itself. With the mix of what happened in the 40's you can almost feel the presents of those who walked before. I very much been enjoying your explorations. Very interesting. ;-)
Thank you Kenneth and greetings from us.
Very good! I enjoyed this video...!! Thanks for doing the work..!. I am a subscribed viewer the past few years.. Tony K., Melbourne, Florida.
Much appreciated Tony and greetings from us.
Thanks for all of the amazing content WWII HISTORY HUNTER!!!! I think seeing a video of you with dive gear would be an incredible adventure! Great work once again!
Well it will happen :) Thanks
Fifish looks like a crab when it is above water with the grabs.
The basket is a very useful tool.
It seems that people have been playing Frisbee with the signs in the harbor, just like bouncing a stone on the water.
Bakelite switches were installed long after the war.
Thank you Oma and more to come later :)
I like the way you use the word we instead of I. Like, we got it. It means all of us are a team. Thank you for another great adventure.
You are so welcome and yes we are all one team here. Thanks Skimmer.
Stunning quality camera imagery it makes you feel you are actually underwater holding your latest tool "The Goody Bag" You could have done with Eagle Eyes hauling the bag in while you search for the prizes. I am amazed at the depth of the silt, it must shift with storm movement at times to reveal even more special finds.. WELL DONE ONCE AGAIN and Thankyou
Wow, thanks my friend and yes it is a great location and we will share more later.
Guten morgan my friend, team.I just watched the 1968 movie Battle of Britain, that wheel could be a Hienkel 111 ,and the undercarriage strut looked like what you, EE found with the fifish, goodhunting kind regards Richard
Thanks Richard and yes we will show more later :)
Another nail biting, edge of the seat adventure. You got them though and knew you would. Not one, but two. What are the odds. Those Luftwaffe bowls cleaned up nicely. I treat my Luftwaffe bowl with loving care. I am so glad I became a WW2 History Hunter Patreon. Thank you HH, EE, & BBG. Stupid little basket you made is a handy little gadget in the raw. You have become an expert ROV operator before our very eyes HH. That Bakelite electrical connection was something to see also and the motor block. So many artifacts down there to be discovered. We would love to see you rigged up in your diving gear. Looking forward to the next adventure. Continue to take care and stay safe HH, BBG, & EE.
This place has many small and HUGE secrets still going on so hopefully lots more to be found later. Thanks Laura and keep your phone dry :) Greetings from us
So exciting to see these relics under water where they have been for 75+ years. Holy Madonna indeed, two unbroken Luftwaffe bowls! So expertly salvaged with a simple home-made basket. Awesome stuff History Hunter! Always so very exciting to go on an adventure with you. Greetings!
You and me both!
FANTASTIC 👏🏻 😊
Thank you! Cheers!
Hey History Hunter! Holy madonna! Great finds! Amazing piece of history undisturbed all these decades waiting for you to find it! Your basket works great! Sounds like you may dive in that spot to look further plus does not look deep where you found those plates. Lots of goodies down there. Once again the fifish did its job! All the best Dan! 🇺🇲
Thanks 👍
You should fix a couple of rubber foam pads to the jaws... 1. it will be grippier than plain steel jaws, 2. it will conform to the shape of the object, so give a more secure grip, & 3. will be less likely to crush or break fragile items like ceramic, Bakelite or this metal items. Love the channel btw, all the best from the UK 🇬🇧
ok and thanks for watching.
Good morning. I am watching from the edge of my seat. It is nice to see hi-tech and low-tech working together. The suggestion regarding a tethered grappling hook is a good idea especially concerning the tubular metal apparatus found early in the video. By dropping the hook in the water and picking it up with the ROV, it can be placed directly on top of the metal piece and dragged off (as long as the ROV is resting far away from the path of the dragged item so the lines will not get fouled). As for placing a magnet using the ROV, I think that is not a good idea as magnets and electronics do not mix (one false move and the ROV is kaput). Your adventures have me saying some very bad words each time you drop or miss an item, but the excitement truly has me on the edge of my seat...even turning my head and shoulders and sticking out my tongue for extra leverage (didn't work though). Keep up the good work. Good luck and stay safe.
Great to read and thanks James :)
Thanks for all your effort finding the most interesting history!
Have you ever considered carrying your triple hook down with the ROV and "dropping" it on some of the heavier objects and just then pulling the object up?
Yes I have and you will see more of that later. Thanks.
Outstanding finds my friend! Great content as always. Hope all is well with you and your family. Stay safe and keep bringing the history to us! To everyone watching this, smash the like button and subscribe!
Much appreciated and very glad you are with us Michael :)
The big stainless steel thing reminds me of a flip down stair, like to climb back in a ski boat. Or, to climb into a plane? We’ve had a couple of ski boats along the way, and you wouldn’t speed along with a steel or aluminum ladder hanging in the water,so it folds up and clips in place. Hope that helps! BTW, it’s amazing to me that the Germans took so much porcelain with them to war! So impractical, and an expense!
Thanks could be it. Thanks for watching.
I'm sad, I really want one of those bowls but I'll never be able to afford to be a supporter :(
Thanks for taking time to comment and watch. Greatly appreciated and greetings from us.
Truly amazing artifacts from the depths of the WW2 time frame . Fifish is superb. Looking forward to seeing the Aircraft tyre.
Appreciated my friend and thanks.
Nice job on the basket.
Good finds.
If you and your son are going after bigger finds ( like the tire and what appers to be a collapsible boat ladder ).
If your driving get a intercom system and you dive have your daughter be the go between and your son pull up all the stuff with a rope.
The ultimate family memories
There you go and who knows what the future will be :) Thanks
Have you thought about glueing some thin ribbed rubber sheet to the grips with contact adhesive? It would only need to be a Max of 1 - 2mm thick & should give better grip on smooth objects. But keep up your excellent vlogs.
There is actually rubber glue on the paw ends and it seems to work pretty good. Thanks and greetings from us.
Wow fantastic finds , the plates are awesome. Would love to see a video of you diving , that would be awesome . Thanks history hunter👍👍👍💜💜💜
Could be coming later Wendy :) Thanks.
It’s just mind boggling to me that there are complete German plates just laying around all over the place. I could understand finding broken plates but complete plates is just crazy. I wonder if two German sailors were having a bowl of soup and the alarm went off for an air raid and they just threw the plates overboard and ran to there positions? I believe your one of a few people who actually do underwater investigations of German navy ports. I heard that Norway had a lot of German Navy bases all over. Is that true? I think they used them to hide from the enemy. Love these underwater adventures.
We have actually found quite many complete ones during the years but i end to give them away :) Thanks Anthony.
That was fantastic, I was cheering for you outloud as you captured those plates and I was saying, oh wow, oh wow at the cool stuff you found. I hope in the near future I can be a patron, I just love your videos and channel, can't wait until the next one.👍👍👍👍👍❤🇺🇸
Thanks 👍my friend :)
A great interactive adventure recovering amazing WW2 artifacts with the latest technology! Next time you will need a bigger basket to bring up the airplane tire you found! Fantastic !
Well we are going to show lots more from there. Thanks Jeffery.
PUT rubber pads on the grabber. Like at least 5 mm thick rubber pads. It should be a soft grippy rubber. If you can find one that's susceptible to acetone, you can dab the pad's face in acetone before going in and it will be twice as grippy for a few minutes.
ok and thanks for comment and for watching.
Have a few German artifacts in my mini military Museum. Patches belt buckle a flight helmet. And a ww1 spike helmet. Makes me want to find a dinner plate now.
Thanks for watching.
Well done my friend. The plate finds are great and the condition looks like they just left the dinning hall. The stainless unit remints me of a carrier for a bike or motorcycle. We need to put a section of rule on the gripper so a reference of size can be done. The "engine block" looks a little like one but doesn't at the same time. Being able to gauge the size would be more definitive. Next time grab the 2 hole locking bar to the blocks right let's see what it really is. The Bakelite unit with the single port and the 4 blind holes looks like a 4 cylinder distributor cap configured to be water tight. We need to talk about getting you a bigger sub with a standard arm, which is in the works. Well my friend the wife is relived that the restoration part is not the radar center mast or a dish. Mainly since I already have 2 microwave dishes setup in the yard for playing with communications. Thank you and I will video the process. Stay safe, dry and well.
thank again William for your great comment and support and soon we will test out your pieces in some dives. Thanks and stay safe.
Man. To own an actual Luftwaffe plate....wonderful. Hope to win o.e.in the giveaways!
Thanks my friend.
Damn man, I had a coronary watching you with that bowl. Will he, won't he. Oh the drama, hahaha. Great video. Now excuse me whilst I change my undies.
He he ,good one my friend. Thanks and greetings from us.
Your videos are very well done. I'm going to share a link with my best friend. He's a walking encycopedia on ww2 aircraft.
Thank you Fred :)
a thought about heavy ferrous items - could you "deliver" your tethered magnet with your ROV so you would not have to try and lift those items ?
does anybody make a spring loaded 3 or 4 fingered grapple on a tether that could be dropped onto an item with that ROV? that would work on anything metal or not!
its always a special treat to watch what you explore and find out!
MAnget and magnetometer inside ROV do not go together it seems. Thanks Calvin.
A HUGE WOW for finding those 2 plates. Lucky 1940 and a 41!!! Superb job. Nice
Thanks 👍
Great video brother! I always enjoy your adventures with the Fifish!
I appreciate it!
The crockery finds are some of the best i think and the Fifish sure has been an extremely valuable asset for finding relics. Nice idea on the submerged basket saves much frustration and effort to bring items out of the depths. Don't know how you do it but every video always has varied and engaging content, very well done. Best wishes to all and stay safe.
Thanks you for your great support and feedback. Love the Fifish indeed and glad we can share with you David.
Great combination of new technology (Fifish rov) and the low tech net, seems to work very well in helping retrieve the artifacts. If you put a few lead fishing weights around the net opening it would sink faster.
yes seems to work pretty good. Thanks Tom
You are getting better with the ROV!!!! GREAT JOB
Thanks Wayne :)
Wonderful pieces of history, but I don't know which is more entertaining, the items or your excitement of discovery.
He he , well that is just me i guess :) Thanks
Nice finds! I have an idea how you could get that stainless steal thing out without diving! Get some heavy duty fishing line/ string and some big- lightweight hook and use the ROV to hook it up, then just pull that thing out of the water!
Thanks for the tip
Brilliant absolutely brilliant your videos are fantastic thank you 😊👍
Glad you like them!
Dang HH you should bring crackers and hot sauce next for all those oysters. That stainless steel thing was a boat entry ladder telescoping. The steps where pushed in. Thank you for the great videos.
That could be it yes. Thanks for watching.
Another good day FiFishing. That’s a amazing catch bag you made for yourself, be careful it can attract sharks. Ha ha
Thanks for the tip
Those plates once again are wonderful discoveries indeed. How well the seabed has preserved and kept these artifacts intact. Thankyou once again.
Great place and thanks for being here.
Perhaps a couple of pieces of foam rubber stuck to the inside of the grabber's arms would improve its grip? Keep up the good work!
Great idea and thanks Steve.
You need a boat
Wel you might get a surprise later :) Thanks
FiFish for the Win!! Glad you were able to grab these and save them from the depths!! See you later!!
Yes Josh we love to explore with such great tools :)
Love the plates ! Amazing find and such great condition . Great work, keep well.
Thanks, will do!
Amazing that they servived so long 81 years just amazed
I agree and very glad for that :)
The ORV, has really stepped up your game! I can say for sure that there is no other person in the world who wants to bring history to the world as you do it is so cool to see these things and I hope one day you have a bigger ORV and are looking for relics inside of old warships the technology is here you just need a boat and more cable lol thank you for bringing us history
You probably mean a ROV and yes who knows what the future will bring us from the deep down under. Thanks and greetings from us.
Hi HH
Outstanding my friend
Smiley faces all round 😁
Cheers
Thank you kindly Martin and keep smiling :)
Im wondering, how example those plates got there in there in first place? Somebody just throwed in the end of the war?
My guess is just that someone threw them in there , most probably during the wartime. Thanks for comment and for watching.
That was awesome. What a great idea with the basket, sure came in handy. I really hope you do go diving here, seen many more things down there that looks interesting. Thanks again and stay safe my friend.
That's the plan Allen and will show more later :) Greetings from us
you could strap led weights on it like you find those on fishing lines, if it possible to strap them on the basket...maybe?
Not a bad idea at all my friend. Thanks for comment and for watching.
