hey :3ildcat! Awesome video! I plan on making my first mechanical keyboard soon and you really helped me! Thanks! Also, what monitor do you use? Thank you! Keep up the good work!
People keep telling me TriboSys 3203 is the way to go on tactiles. I've seen others lubing with 3204 (Which I'm going for) and even 205g0 as shown here. Is there really that much difference, if lube is applied with care and caution - in thin layers? I can't really see why there should be a big difference. Prove me wrong, I'm new to all of this. If it's a thick lube, then lube more gently. If it's thin, do so in slightly heavier layers. Or? :)
I think it's a small difference. If you don't care or are not so sensitive, they all will be okay. My 205g2, 205g0, 105+205 mix lubed switches are all good enough for me. lol
Where did u buy the lube and can you get films for these. If u could link the websites would be appreciated. Also what hot swappable pcb would you recommend for this.
Ik this is old but do you recommend putting switch films on the holy pandas? I like that satisfying kinda muted sound. I know the lubed pandas already kind of sound like that so do you think it’s overkill?
yes. The thicker the lube the more you lose tactility. It's best to use a thinner lube like 3203 or 3204 and not to lube the legs at all. If you're more experience with lubing you can use thicker lubes like krytox 205g0
The type of lube and where you use it on the switch boils down to personal preference. I am using Zealio V2 62g on my main keyboard and lubed everything, including the legs, with Krytox 205 G0 because I felt the switches were too tactile otherwise.
How much tactility do you think it will lose by lubing the leg thinly? Also im still debating myself to only buy 205g0 for stabs and zealios v2, or get some 3204 too. But still cant wrap my mind around buying the 205g0 for only lubing like 3 stabs lol.. the consensus i got is that to buy 205g0 for everything
Eosmann If you like the heavy tactility, you shouldn’t do that. It reduced a lot. I can’t express how much it is exactly but it still has way more tactility than average brown switches. lol Yeah it would not be that easy to decide.. if you are not so sensitive, only 205g0 would be fine. Many say that 3024 is also good but I haven’t bought it yet and will not for now.
@@3ildcat tbh with u i still dont know whether i like heavy tactility or not lol. I come from box red and never ever tried other switches before lol. Some people said its okay to lube it, it wont lose that much tactility, some people said dont lol. Judging by how it felt by clicking the switch alone (the keycaps still on the way), the resistance i felt when it bottoms out is strong, like its punching me back. is that what it means by heavy tactility? if so, i think i might prefer it to be smoother and less tactile
@@psputranoveka Oh.. only box reds..... they are really light. As far as I know, zealios have less tactility compared to the holy pandas. If I were you, of course I would lube the legs as well. 혹시 스위치 9개끼우신 틀어디서 구매하셨는지알 수 있을까요?
hey :3ildcat! Awesome video! I plan on making my first mechanical keyboard soon and you really helped me! Thanks! Also, what monitor do you use? Thank you! Keep up the good work!
Thanks!
Samsung Cj791
Where did you get the neko atsume figures, they're so smol and cute
Yeah they are sooo cute
People keep telling me TriboSys 3203 is the way to go on tactiles. I've seen others lubing with 3204 (Which I'm going for) and
even 205g0 as shown here.
My 205g2, 205g0, 105+205 mix lubed switches are all good enough for me. lol
What's the benefit of lubing the entire spring as opposed to the ends? I saw a Taeha Types vid where he only lubed the ends
I just do just like plastic bag lubing.
Hi, just asking for ur method for adding more lube on top instead of cleaning, does that also work for linears thanks.
DO you mix Krytox 205 with 105?
What size brush are you using? I'm having a hard time figuring out which size to buy.
On the brush '1'
Where did u buy the lube and can you get films for these. If u could link the websites would be appreciated. Also what hot swappable pcb would you recommend for this.
google 'txkeyboard' :)
I can't recommend cuz it should be your preference
Ik this is old but do you recommend putting switch films on the holy pandas? I like that satisfying kinda muted sound. I know the lubed pandas already kind of sound like that so do you think it’s overkill?
for old holy pandas, no
for new holy pandas, okay, it's your call
Can I use Krytox 205 instead of parmatex in stab and wire??
Which is the best lube for linear Kailh Box Red switches?
what is the link to the lube because i cant find it anywhere
you crazy SOB, you did it!
does lubing the legs of tactile switches turned it closer into a linear feel?
yes. The thicker the lube the more you lose tactility. It's best to use a thinner lube like 3203 or 3204 and not to lube the legs at all. If you're more experience with lubing you can use thicker lubes like krytox 205g0
As Eliar said
Hold on. Isn’t Krytox 205g0 for linear?
(Recommended)
The type of lube and where you use it on the switch boils down to personal preference. I am using Zealio V2 62g on my main keyboard and lubed everything, including the legs, with Krytox 205 G0 because I felt the switches were too tactile otherwise.
Oh ok
Do you still get a decent tactility without cleaning them?
is this a joke or can i really clean them with an ultrasonic cleaner?
I'm not quiet sure if the liquid is just water or if it will damage my sliders
should i switch film holy pandas?
Is there a link for where to buy these items?
Isn’t 205g0 a thick lube which you wouldn’t want to use on tactile switches?
up to personal preference
No it’s a mix technically. Lube and grease
Why 205G vs other lubes like Tribosys ?
Would this process work with all tactile switches?
My favorite part is when they did the thing
tactility라고 하신 부분은 서걱임을 뜻하신것 맞나요??
걸림, 구분감으로 보시면 됩니다
How is the sound when lubing the springs with 105 oil compared to using 205g0?
105 = oil = similar to natural switch sound
205 = grease = a bit lower sound than oil
in my opinion
do you think I should clean the new, unlubed holy pandas when they ship from drop in june?
It's up to you.
Many people clean them but I don't care.
Is the lubing process any different with the new HP's?
Yes now you can use films
Do you not live the top housing?
Where do u but the lube from?
Where should I buy Krytox 205g0?
do you usually not lube the top housing?
Do you prefer 205g0 or 3204 for tactiles? Which produces a deeper sound on a brass plate?
I haven't tried 3204
I am satisfied with krytox so I have no plan to try it
I have a question, do you recommend to lube box jade?
I have krytox 205 g0, can I use it for this box jade?
Sorry I haven't lubed box switches.
and it's all up to you.
How do I clean my brushes after lubing?
wiping with tissue
Where can I find the container lube
Does all the lube and glorious lube need water? First time to lube 😅😅
what is the keycaps set at 0:11
Wow yummy that krytrons stuff taste good
Do you think these switches are worth it? I'm using gaterons now, and I'm wondering how noticeable "fancier" switches are
For me, yes
for you, I don't know. really up to the preference
Are Glorious Pandas pre lubed?
What is the switch holder
Do you lube the top casing for other switches? (Such as Gateron reds)
yes
you can check it in my recent lubing videos
what kind of jar do you use to contain the lube?
Is Krytox lube better than Tribosys for lubing holy pandas?
I don't think so. They are all good enough than nothing.
I can’t express how much it is exactly but it still has way more tactility than average brown switches. lol
Yeah it would not be that easy to decide.. if you are not so sensitive, only 205g0 would be fine.
Lol
Experiencing is way better than watching others reviews or videos because it's totally up to your preference.
That's why many keyboard enthusiasts keep spending lots of money for finding their tastes. haha
@@3ildcat just tried the switch unlubed and i must say while i like it, i think the feedback to the finger is too much. I might lube the leg and the spring a little to make it smoother i think. Thank you for the response ♥️
so the tophousing doesnt get lubed?
Would lubing this with 3203 feel more or less smooth and tactile?
would be similar.
