The "issue" relies on the assumption that there are people at your workplace whose job is to receive packages on behalf of the workplace (e.g. a receptionist). So, if you are sending your packages to your workplace, and to be received by an employee other than you (such as the receptionist), then you are essentially having that receptionist work for you personally.
Even if you are using your own materials, there would still be an issue IF you relied on someone, such as the receptionist, to send out that package.
It's not about to where you ship your packages to/from; it's about who will be receiving/sending them (if not you directly).

Dont send your packages to work. Your receptionist at work is NOT your personal secretary 🤨 You asking someone else to sign and assume responsibility then hunt you down until you feel like its time to pick up your packages that is invading her work space🙄. Its one of the annoying things a coworker could do. They get paid way less than anything else so unless your treating them to lunch as a thank you at the least!!!!! Even if you ask, you are starting an epidemic with everyone trying to do the same thing.

My son and I have anything that we need delivered, delivered to my son's job. The reason for this is because we have a hard time getting our mail. We live in an RV park and the landlord collects all the mail but doesn't let us know when we have mail. I have checked everyday and it is either No one is there or they haven't checked it yet. I like Amanda Seal so I'm actually excited to see her join the other ladies at the table. I will ADD that with this move, hopefully the producers start bringing even more diverse backgrounds and cultures to the table. We hardly ever see Middle Eastern, Indian (south Asian), all other Asian/Pacific Islanders, and even Latina women on the show. Now they have three black (one mixed) women which is wonderful, I just hope they also consider adding on another co-host or at least bring on more ethnically diverse guests that can speak from their own cultures as well. Heck, seeing additional interracial/mixed women from all sorts of ethnicities would be beautiful too!

    • @h3artands0uLL
      @h3artands0uLL 4 года назад +1

@@lucyfield9291 I'll clarify.... Of course the Real is KNOWN for being the first show with ALL women of color as hosts. That's why I watch it in addition to the entertainment it brings. You listed them as if I don't have eyes to see? The difference is, in their effort to show "diversity" it is now a little one sided: three black women (one mixed - Tam), Amanda being the third now. Why not add in a woman who is Middle Eastern or Indian? Someone whose culture is currently NOT represented on the show. Loni representing black culture, Jeannie repping Asian, Adrienne with Latinx culture, and Tam being mixed which also needs really big representation as it's becoming more of the norm. But now they bring on Amanda (who is extremely intelligent and likable so its not a diss toward her) when they could have brought in someone who is not yet represented at the table. Most of their guests are black as well. Why not bring in more Asian, Indian, Latinx, etc. guests? Diversity is just looking one sided. So I'm saying KEEP Amanda, she's amazing. Just consider adding someone else as well. Does that make sense now?

I wish they added Rachel Lindsey. Because I do think they need to give more dark skinned women a chance. Also it will show the beauty and grace and intelligence of a dark skinned women. I do like Amanda I think she is EXTREMELY intelligent and she is also not in the Kardashian's pocket. I just feel like there isn't enough dark skin representation without out the uber aggressive stigma being attached. Amanda will be great but we also know someone like Rachel Lindsey would have been able to do that plus a little. But I feel like she wasn't as famous which is why she wasn't chosen. And let me reiterate the fact that dark skinned women are NOT WELL represented without stereotypes being attached. Also I like 4 women better because they can have guest co-host all the time including dark skinned women they can't really have guest co-host anymore if there are five girls already.

A lot of people work from early morning til late evening, so it's kind of a "service" from your work place to tolerate personal packages.

I think it depends on your standing in the company. My bank manager always got packages to the office but I wouldn’t have ever tried

I live in the UK and worked as a receptionist, staff were allowed to have personal packages delivered all i had to do was send an e-mail and they came and collected it. I guess it's just down to company culture. Tbh i thought it was the best idea, guys just think of how much time we spend at work!!! & imagine missing a parcel too because you weren't home?? So, why not right?

My job has a strict policy about receiving packages at work. If the mail room receives anything that they suspect if personal, like an Amazon package, they tell you to come get it. LOL. They won't bring it to you like they would work packages.

I used to be a receptionist at an engineering and architecture firm, and people ordered stuff all the time. It wasn’t a big deal. It was more work for me, but I did not mind. I honestly didn’t even think about it being wrong.

Amazon does in car delivery and they place your package in you car. You can send them the location of your job and give them the accurate info and they put it in your car. And also Amazon has in home delivery. They leave it inside your house.

I think the only time my dad did that was when our mail was frauded by one of my relatives the the post office won't fix the issue and also with packages was mostly around Christmas so my sister, mom, and I wouldn't see. Other than that he and we never did that. Not on company dime though that's disrespecful.

I don't know where they've worked but when I received personal correspondence at work it didn't go to the mail room, reception would call me up and I'd come down to personally sign for it, take it to my office where it bothered no one, and at the end of the day I'd take it home with me.

I worked at a local clothing boutique and my manager would get personal packages sent to her all the time 😂 I know the difference between clothing shipments and a kylieskin box lol. We just set them on her desk, no big deal.

If you arent the person who work in the mail room... don't expect someone else to be responsible for your packages. But if you have it coordinated, then once in awhile is t a problem.

I’ve been receiving personal packages and mail at work for 20 years so did my coworkers and bosses I’ve had. Not like huge packages. No one cares. It’s not like we don’t also receive work related packages while at work so who bothers to keep track if they are personal or work related unless they need to get a life.

We haven't had a porch pirate yet, but found out our neighbors are horrible people from package deliveries. Several times we've had large expensive OBVIOUS packages, like TV's, Computers, that were accidentally delivered to their house. 3 times now we've gone over to their house to inquire, and they straight up lie, make up a story and are stupid enough to have the package with in sight from the door. When we call them on it.... oh the stories🤥🙄😒🤨

Its costly for the workplace. At least that's what i can get from this issue. Its cost effective to not allow personal packages to be sent.
