I will not recommend any software. I think researcher doing IPA should do it manually. I also recommend not to hire anyone to transcribe interviews. The more close a researcher will be to the data, the better interpretation and reflectivity will be there. Whenever we code ourselves we can interact with data same way as we interacted with the interviewee. So i will say NO to any software for doing IPA.
Do you think IPA has space for 'anecdotal findings' as I have only seen typical phenomenological studies talking about, or at best hermeneutical phenomenological method. Please share your valuable insight on it. Thank you
IPA requires depth in data related to what has been experienced, how it has been experienced, and the relevant contextual information providing situational and structural context of the experience. In this connection anecdotal findings are not sufficient to be used as primary source of information. However, they may provide useful supplementary information when the participant provide such information connecting it to their experience. For example, a childless woman while sharing her experience of miscarriage may talk about someone she know and she had observed or heard about. In that case researcher doing IPA will look into this set of information to see how the participant is making meaning of her own experience. Having said that, it is also important for the researcher to see and elaborate the difference between what has been experienced by the participant and what the participant talked as secondary source of information.

Just for further personal clarification, as in IPA we analyze each case one by one and then make share and discuss common themes across the cases, that appeared more frequently. If I am doing a study on identity development and only 2 out of 6 participants shared being effected by their race or sexual identity, should I share it in results and discussion section while writing dissertation as anecdotal evidence, because I did not include it in superordinate or subordinate themes (as they were minority experiences)? @@faizyounas610 It is very difficult to give any suggestions when I do not have any detailed information about your research. However, I can suggest two things. First, YES those two are important and you should focus in them and also why others are not sharing something similar and why they are sharing what others did not experience. Second, you can have a look at the videos in my channel and may be you can find something relevant in videos on phenomenology, interview, and analysis.

You misspelled both Moustakas and Coalizzi, and are transcendental and descriptive phenomenological approaches respectively, not IPA.
