Hey man recommend putting some adjustable top mounts silver project if you want with oem shocks and m3 rear bushings for the front arms, a bit of camber and advance give the front a real good bite. For the bushes you can use oem ones
For better handling change rear bushings on front arms to busings from M3 E36 with offset. It will improve caster. And add 2 washers on each low shockadsorber's bolts (between hub and adsorber). It will improve camber. And You will have much much better handaling.
For the front arms there are two inner mounts, the front inner is a ball joint so all of the compliance is in the inner rear bushing…. The M3 one is offset outwards, so pushes the wheel forwards in the wheel well giving it more camber….
Hope you make more videos this year I watched the scanner ones and then you went quiet for soooo long love your stuff and it’s no nonsense approach but really love the reverse engineering you do as that is definately the future of a scanner/ printer combo I think
Yeah I’ve been away a while but getting back into the swing of things now…. There is more of the RE type of videos coming, just getting rid of a back log of review vids that were bogging me down!
Once to get a car through the MOT, went to the testing station via a section of the motorway, sitting in the 3rd gear at the red line (speed to be confirmed one day). Worked . I did the suspension on my mx5 last summer. Took twice as long as expected. Anti roll bar drop links seized - as usual.
I’ve got one of those manual tyre changers and have just found out there’s a duck bill mod you can do that means you don’t knacker the rim scraping along it. Down side is you might have to start changing tyres for family and friends. 😕
I only found out about the duck bill mod when I read your comment, looks useful. The standard one scuffs up rims no end, the one I pictured in this video was gifted by a mate and it’s night and day compared to the standard one… sooooo much easier!
congratulations to your car for passing mot! i have a question and since you are probably the guy to talk to. what bike itbs are best to space out and add a couple more bodies to the rack for a 6cyl setup? engine will be a 2.7 stroker m20
Now this is a nice bit of fresh air, was starting to miss the old style of videos with a hands on approach
Yeah, don’t worry, I’ve not completely sold my soul, just had a bit of a backlog to get through…
Project Binner was absolutely peak.
I liked Binner… but it did seem like tempting fate!
Hooray for another M4M video! It's crazy how much fun a 100hp car can be. Gotta get yourself a bigger impact too. ;)
Yeah… I will notice every single extra horsepower! Just gotta work where they have all gone! 😂

Let's go!!! Project car vid!!!

Absolutely, I have all of these on my to-do lists…. All in good time my friend!

Nice advice 👌
Why just the rear bushing on the arms?

good luck with the build! looking forward to it! Supercharger ? maybe?
Most excellent episode! Thank you!
Cheers bud! 👍
Great episode! Can't wait for more
Cheers Jake!
I recognise that oily part in the end of the video. It is differential with "welding electrode" lock
Oh no… that’s a full OEM ZF LSD! 😁😁😁
Soon to get the 4 plate upgrade!

The things we do to cheat the system… no motorways for me to drive on… for me it was full throttle in 2nd and a healthy poke of brake pedal 👍
The only question is whether it'll be a limited slip diff or no slip diff 😅
All good things come in time! 😁
Awesome. Great base line. Is that maybe a quaife diff project?
I'll take an honorable mention 🍻
bit scary the oil pressure light was flashing at idle???? Is it worth getting the oil checked before spending any more cash?
It’s just because the oil got so hot, never seen it come on before! I just need to remember that an oil cooler wouldn’t be a bad idea in the future! 😂
If the worst happens and it kicks a leg out of bed then I guess replacements are pennies anyway!

Basher would suit it
