This crossing still had old barriers, plus old alarms inside the barrier units. However, it has had its old halogen warning lights replaced with new LEDs sets.
Thanks For Watching! - Авто/Мото
Love it! I can hear myself clearly knowing quite a bit about this one haha. I do quite like this one indeed! And I love how Joe was having a go at the over cautious signaller 😂😂😂👍🏻😁
Thanks 😎 It's nice - even better when I go back and film it in the day. It appears the barriers by default have a longer delay before lowering.
great video i have travelled over that crossing 😀
Thanks - Its a cool crossing :)
Great video!
Thanks! 😎
Nice video! Greetings from the netherlands
Thank you! 😎 Greetings from the UK 😁
Good video
Thanks 😊
Joe was annoyed with the speed of the barrier
For someone who dedicates a significant portion of his spare time at level crossings, one would expect he'd have a lot of patience (sorry Mr. Thorpe).
I think the barriers have a longer delay before lowering than usual.
I hope these beautiful GWE barriers arent going anytime soon because i like GWE barriers due to them being better built than SPX ones.
They've already been replaced back in May unfortunately 😕 I filmed this crossing again last Friday.
Those are very unique alarms. They are much slower paced than how alarms usually are on level crossings if you know what I mean
Yeah, they're quite old and indeed quite slow. I believe there's actually three alarms installed at this crossing - that or there's four and one isn't working.
Looks pink still great video
Thanks 😊😎
What was going on with the emergency vehicle at the beginning?
A police car had pulled a driver over a few yards down the road. I don't know what it was about but they were still there once when we left.
It has new barriers now
@@SouthEastLevelCrossings Yes, they had just been installed when I visited on 16th April
@H's Transport Videos Ah, bit of luck I filmed this crossing twice then. I'll look forward to going back and filming the new crossing very soon 😁
What was “rare” about it?
The set-up with the alarms in the barrier boxes is what's "rare" here, and UKLCC tends to put unusual features in the title to make the videos get more views or likes. It may be slightly clickbait, but it's not that bad seeing as it describes what's in the video quite well.
Well, it's got rare barriers, which according to a viewer have now been replaced, and the alarms are oddly inside the barrier units instead of being on the poles like almost every other crossing
Cool thanks for that
@South East Level Crossings Channel In my opinion, it makes the videos sound more interesting to watch. I'm learning from older videos how I should display my future videos.
I will take some video of these level crossing
👍
Incredibly stupid question that I'm going to ask, I wonder what the alarms-both old and new alarms- to both this crossing & Ferry Road looked like. *cringes at stupid question just posted*
They will probably look exactly the same. The alarms used here originally were "YO3 Yodalarms" and it's the same alarms replacing them, but they all sound slightly different. Here's a picture of one; images.app.goo.gl/C2nLDyb9Gj8RiqLr8
Thank you :)
For some reason & yes I'm going to sound sad just I imagined both this crossing & Ferry Road's old and new warning alarms looking like the former fire alarm in The Banqueting Hall in Dover Castle--the white square one, I believe they had and might still have them I've not been there in ages in the food court at Ashford Outlet--a brass or chrome sounders in the same shape as the sounders found inside smoke alarms or yo5 yodalarm sounder.
Nonetheless the Grove, Ferry Road and St Dunstans in Canterbury definitely give off a very quirky vibe due to their settings.
Through the years I don't think Yodalarms have changed much in their design, they've all looked mostly the same. There is different models which come with different electronics. This is evident with the alarms at Canterbury (St Dunstans) crossing sounding noticeable different to other Yodalarms at other crossings.
Agree 100%
Oh wie intressant wie die Schranken runter gehen oder das Licht blinkt. 😆 Total bekloppt 👎ist
Great video!
Thank you!
