@@ajf3202 - I would love to tell you what's currently happening, they're slowly being taken over by the E320. The three remaining unrefurbished TMST's are withdrawn from service.
I agree, they have such a cool sound as they pull away. Withdrawal from Eurostar services may not be far off but some will survive in service in France for a while longer yet, hopefully. Seems crazy to think that a number of sets were actually built for work along the WCML and ECML but were never used as such. Though I do remember the brief period with GNER, they looked superb in that livery! Made you feel quite posh pulling into Leeds in one of those right next to crappy pacers and sprinters! lol
The 3 unrefurbished TMST will only be in service if an e320 or a refurbished TMST are not available to be in service like maintenance or an issuer with the train
Very good video, lots of high speed trains (e300, e320, class 395), as well as some "standard" southeastern and southern services. Congrats for the ex-southern 377 :) What's that big noise at the end of the e320 departure clip? A freight move?
That’s because the 395s go onto the South Eastern Main line from Ashford. And also there is no space to put extra platforms. But you should come one day it is really nice, especially when the Eurostar’s are running at full whack again
Hs1 is a good better that slower train to London Victoria London charing Cross. Eurostar southeastern high speed go hs1 cut the journey time to London St pances ?
i never knew they disconnected the pantograph at Ashford when travelling tougher south east whats the reason I thought it would be over head cable all the way to dover no....
The reason is because the line to Dover and beyond was already third rail and plus class 375 run down there so it would have cost them more money to upgrade the line and get new trains
What? Not the Chatham mainline, it puts its pantograph down to go on the local lines towards Dover and Folkestone which is **not** part of the Chatham mainline
When the Javelins hook up nose to nose, I feel as if I need to look the other way.
12:12. Like a crescendo of a beautiful orchestra the Class 373 e300 taking off is a wonderful sight and sound to behold
I do miss seeing Eurostars at Ashford International. When they actually stopped there.😢
Class 373... Waterloo Station... I miss the 90's, another world.
There's 8 of them remaining in service
I think it will be a very, very sad day when no one can hear that beautiful roar the TMST makes….
What's happening with the refurbished sets?

A european low-cost train company has taken some of the e300s, don't know how many.
I like the javelin sound when it departs😀
Very nice compilation done with dedication & patience, especially capturing the motor & blower sounds of Eurostar e-300.
At 35:58, the Eurostar Class 374 train had its pantograph flashing lights.
all hail ashford International!
38:38 For A Second I Thought It Was A Class 465/9
Awesome video, really liked the E300!
Thanks very much

Yeah
Yes
I’ve been on a full southern southeastern train before
@@rail3288 Yes
TBH, the class 374's traction motors sound like a violin at the start.

0:45 I didn't know there were sandstorms in the UK
Actually there sort of are, occasionally dust gets blown up from the sahara and turns everything orange

The 373 sounds much better though
Superb video. That was great to watch. :)
Thanks very much :)

8:00 wtf, southern railway but southeastern...
They just borrowed it or they where giving it
Yesterday I came back from Paris and I think that class 374 e320 was my train.
Most likely was the e320 as they are on most services
CHOO-CHOO!!Plane the services that I saw that Eurostar were Paris to London and London to paris
Super video. This was great
Thanks very much
kinda miss eurostar stopping at ashford international which i believe will resume in 2025
Me too
I dunno why but the Class 373s stopping at Ashford take me back to the Waterloo days, it feels/looks old school
I very much hope that the eurostars stop at ashford again very inconvenient to travel to london to catch a train to paris🤦🏻♂️
@@LamarTheCaragreed!
i been on the fast southeastern train 6 years ago
8:11 why changed
I bet you don't know what the euro star is bast on as in what train, I know its the APT, just a slight difference in the cab shape ?
Never been to Ashford Int unfortunately, weird how the hs trains dont have a separate platform area

I wouldn’t go to Ashford other than the train station though… it’s pretty bad everything else

The 374s Brand new train and the sound is nicer than the 373 lmo. I just went to St Pancras and then the 374 came
373s sound a lot smoother actually

You don't get many eurostar passengers on opposite of southeastern platform?
I am making a video where I make a mix of 'Eurostar, Europop' would it be OK if I use your video for B-roll?
I was scared when the date said 04/01/20. I thought you were a time traveler my friend
I'm sorry if I'm out of the loop here but did the train at 3:21 say "Sandwich" on its destination display??
Yes, it did.
yup, it's a real place in Kent, same with Ham.
@Ho Trainspotter He was the Earl of Sandwich before he was credited with the creation of the sandwich not because of it!
Dose anyone want a Ham Sandwich Deal?
I’m just looking for a sign towards it
eurostar start up amzing sound
You're not allowed to be on the platform when the Eurostar is arriving?
I think it’s because of security because it’s either people getting on to Europe or coming back from Europe
That's just stupid
i never knew they disconnected the pantograph at Ashford when travelling tougher south east whats the reason I thought it would be over head cable all the way to dover no....
The line that the class 395 services change to is 3rd rail not overhead lines
The reason is because the line to Dover and beyond was already third rail and plus class 375 run down there so it would have cost them more money to upgrade the line and get new trains
@@squarebog4413i also think the scenery down there is very nice and building overhead wire will ruin it
3:43 does anyone know why the pantograph comes down ?
I'd assume that it's because it's going to leave the high speed line and move onto the local third rail network instead.
It changed to 3rd rail as it’s going onto the Chatham Mainline
What? Not the Chatham mainline, it puts its pantograph down to go on the local lines towards Dover and Folkestone which is **not** part of the Chatham mainline
