🚄 INFORMATION KEY
Train Numbers - e.g. 43032 or 800110 - These are train numbers which are specific to that train. No trains can be numbered the same. Locos are 5 digit numbers where the first two numbers are the class of train e.g. 67010 would be a class 67. Multiple Units are 6 digit numbers where the first three numbers are the class of train e.g. 390154 would be a class 390. Click Here to learn more
➤ en.wikipedia.o...
Headcodes - e.g. 1F32 or 5M00 - These are used by the railway signallers to determine where trains are on the network. Every train within a region has a specific four code ID. Click Here to learn more
➤ en.wikipedia.o...
Set Number - e.g. WB64 or NL04 - These are semi-permanent loco hauled coach formations which are kept together for formalities. The first two letters usually indicate the maintenance depot responsible e.g. OC is Old Oak Common, LA is Laira. The number indicates the rake number.

Great video Ross. Nice shot of 67024, Colas Rail 66849 and some few 373's. Well done and have a good Sunday 👍
Thanks Arnold 😃 Glad the VSOE 67 was 024, I've filmed it at Peckham Rye before but it was an EWS 67 instead.
Ashford international has transformed completely since the High speed 1 opened in 03 / 07 .. Amazing 💯
Fantastic video. Watching this from a class 390 at 125mph is next level!
Thanks Lord Everything! I admire your dedication 👍🏻
@@StarlifeStudioswhen i’m anxious and i can’t relax i watch your videos it helps
THANK YOU SO MUCH ROSS!!!!!! THIS USED TO BE MY LOCAL STATION AND I LOVE THE VIDEO!!!!!!!
I'm glad to have brought you some reminiscence from Ashford, its a great station (although it would be better with stopping Eurostars). I also found the staff to be wonderfully pleasant too! 😊
hyperventilating 2.0
Ashford International railway station is a National Rail station in Ashford, Kent, England. It connects several railway lines, including High Speed 1 and the South Eastern Main Line. Services are operated by Southeastern and Southern.
The station opened in 1842 as Ashford by the South Eastern Railway as a temporary terminus of the line from London to Dover via Croydon. Connections to Folkestone, Canterbury and Hastings opened within ten years. It was renamed Ashford in 1923. There have been two significant rebuilds; in the 1960s for the South Eastern Main Line electrification, and to accommodate international services in the 1990s. The station was renamed as Ashford International in 1996. International services were reduced following the completion of the Channel Tunnel Rail Link and the opening of Ebbsfleet International in 2007, but were partially restored before being suspended indefinitely in 2020. Domestic services along High Speed 1 to St Pancras have been running since 2009.
Such a fascinating station with the OLE and 3rd rail. Great footage Ross 👏🏻
Thanks 👍🏻 Not sure if it was your planning but I really enjoyed talking to your guys on 3S70 yesterday. Driver and Son combo, great to see 😃
@StarlifeStudios Haha not my planning but we are good for looking after families. Ray and Ben you saw if you see them again
@benGBRf Nice people, clearly loved their jobs. They even wanted their photo taken in front of 69004! Let me have a cheeky look in the cab as well 😉👍🏻
@StarlifeStudios pleased to hear they are looking after the RUclips railway community. We aspire to please and be accommodating the best we can
@@benGBRf Evening Mate, could you help me with something? So on 13/11 I filmed; 0C13 which was a COLAS 70 & 66 but this is shown as a GBRF working? 0Y48 which was a DB 66 and 69009, this shows as a COLAS working? Could you check these for me? Seems odd for these to work other FOCs locos. Thanks!
Nice video, lovin the eurostars (wish they stopped) and the Javelins and electrostars. Westenhanger is also good for seeing all of those, with the eurostars literally seperated by a fence from the platform. Would be cool to see a vid there. Still, fantastic video!
I have been to Ashford International couple times and I do like the Southeastern Highspeed Class 395 Javelin and the Class 375.
Plus you can Eurostar trains passing by at high speed on the viaduct that was built for Eurostar trains to avoid Ashford International.
When I was in London like 2 months ago I went on a southeastern high speed train from st Pancras intl to Ashford and it unexpectedly terminated at Ashford intl. Very rare!
That is rare, I think it happens late at night since they stable the 395s at Ashford depot overnight but I hope you enjoyed your speeeeedyy trip to kent! 😃
@@StarlifeStudios Thanks! Btw I subscribed😊
@@StarlifeStudios it happened at like 4 pm or something I dunno
Eurostar(s) passing on viaduct
e320 7:33
e320 7:50
e300 18:32
e320 21:06
e300 22:07
e320 23:37
e320 23:58
I believe the speed limit on the viaduct is 160mph but don’t take my word for it
Woah what a video bud love it especially the VSOE with the Skip. Remember that pulling in Leamington and terminating with clanline a few years ago.
Nice one mate, you earned yourself a new subscriber
Good video as usual, keep it up starlife 👍🏻
Thanks aismailuk, I will! 👍🏻😃
Euro stars on the High Speed One, non stop. No date when our Ashford Euro star will re open
Great video.
HI YOU ACTUALLY DONE ASHFORD OMGGGGGGGG THANK YOU!
Great video!
Hey there Ross, another fantastic video! May I ask, how did you manage to get the numbers of the Eurostars? I find it extremely difficult to see the numbers at this high speed and when they are this high up. Would be very interesting to know! :)
There’s are no secrets from me! I couldn’t verify them in real time. I could confirm 3 of them when I was at St Pancras but the others required a contact in Eurostar who was able to assist me with the sets on this day.
3:55 that thing is fast
Wow the Class 373s and 374s are so Fast!
Awesome video
Hi Mate Excellent Video.
Great railway video mate
Glad you enjoyed it Imperialist 😊
Great video😊! Does anyone know what’s happening with the 171s atm? I thought EMR had taken most of them but southern still seems to have a strong fleet of them. Also, does anyone know what trains will replace the 171s for southern?
It feels like you're everywhere 😂
It's crazy
I am 😊
Nah not really, I just mix the dates for my new videos so I dont use similar regions next to each other.
Good video
Anothet fantastic video mate, may i recommend Basingstoke station for a visit?
I like it
Let me get this straight, it was called Ashford International because the Eurostar stopped there but now, it no longer does. Yet, the station is still referred as Ashford INTERNATIONAL?
10:28 those southeastern lights remind me of the c2c lights
Its not just you! Both the 375 and C2C 357 were built by Adtranz (later Bombardier) and share a lot of features!
this is an earlier 375, so indeed many parts are shared with the class 357 c2c trains
@@StarlifeStudios I did not know that!
how do you know where the trains are going because its cool how much info you get
What about going to Birmingham Intl 😊
Do Bletchley next please 🙏 I wanna see a Class 720 in you're videos.
How do you manage to get the Euro unit numbers from the platform.
On Fire! What A Fantastic Video!
Station Suggestions:
Paisley Gilmour Street | Llandudno | Abergavenny | Lancaster | Carlisle | Birmingham New Street
