    Train Numbers - e.g. 43032 or 800110 - These are train numbers which are specific to that train. No trains can be numbered the same. Locos are 5 digit numbers where the first two numbers are the class of train e.g. 67010 would be a class 67. Multiple Units are 6 digit numbers where the first three numbers are the class of train e.g. 390154 would be a class 390. Click Here to learn more
    ➤ en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TOPS#TO...
    Headcodes - e.g. 1F32 or 5M00 - These are used by the railway signallers to determine where trains are on the network. Every train within a region has a specific four code ID. Click Here to learn more
    ➤ en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Train_r...
    Set Number - e.g. WB64 or NL04 - These are semi-permanent loco hauled coach formations which are kept together for formalities. The first two letters usually indicate the maintenance depot responsible e.g. OC is Old Oak Common, LA is Laira. The number indicates the rake number.

      Rochester Station. I used to travel around south-east London and Kent during the late 1990s/early 2000s. I did board 'The Wandering Javelin' railtour in 2014. It was the second of two services including a brief visit to London's heart, Charing Cross. (I am not referring to the named radio station).

      Thanks Covelord. I really like this station, great variation and frequency of trains. I have thought about the Medway Viaduct recently. My problem is the services. I'm not 100% sure how frequent trains run and how long I'd have to spend there to get a 10+ Minute video. Thanks for the suggestion though, HS1 is really something that I find interesting :)

    • @johnkent-thanet-uk
      @johnkent-thanet-uk 3 года назад +1

      @@StarlifeStudios Times are variable just now due in part to covid of course. The Margate to STP (via Ashford) has been two an hour for the most part, plus the Dover via Ashford to STP (not sure on timings) with Eurostars in between. However, that said I'm aware Eurostar services have been reduced.
      The summer months will undoubtedly be the most ideal and parking close by about a 150yd walk to lineside.

    Good evening, good sir. First of all, allow me to compliment you on your top trainspotting quality and filming, quite steady, good scene selection, Goodness me you are not shaking like crazy or just care for some tones like others do. Everything looks great. Oh, my beloved Javelins are aging well and the ''masked'' unit is a really smart looking one. This video reminded me of my time there in the Uk as a History Masters student in 2015-2016 and my wonderful journeys and trainspotting action with SouthEastern, despite it being called as the ''crap of train operators'' by my British flatmates, haha.

      @StarlifeStudios  3 года назад

      Hi Panos, please accept my apology for responding to your comment so late. I honestly just didn't see it! I really appreciate your kind words. I put a lot of effort into making sure that my content is of high quality and with the minimal amount of shaking, although, this is often inevitable when videoing at full zoom (better shown on some of my other videos). I also play very close attention to the sound of my videos and it is often more important than video! I don't tend to visit Kent much on my travels so I made sure that I could get a bunch of different areas (such as London Victoria) during this trip. Thanks for showing so much interest (and subscribing 😀) it really is appreciated. Its people like you that keep me motivated! Thank You.
