IMO the Nazgul sounds better in these guitars than the BK Rags or Jugs and the Sentient neck PU is fantastic.

Hey man great review! I’m contemplating purchasing the ET7 version right now but am on the fence with it mostly with the same sonic issues you laid out. I was curious if the Ragnarok’s made a difference enough that you might recommend to someone chasing that Periphery like tone.

Just from my opinion (I have a mark Holcomb model so take what I say with a grain of salt). The Jake Bowen signature is only about 100 dollars more than the pro series. A new set of juggernauts of ragnaroks will set you back about 350 dollars new. Not to mention no gig bag or especially notable features. You’d probably be better off getting marks 7 string which I CAN talk on since it’s the model I own. I have experienced no issues with it whatsoever and it’s priced incredibly reasonably. It also comes with a solid gig bag and great playability. It frankly feels kinda hard to justify the purchase of a juggernaut at comparable prices to the periphery signature counterparts without better pickups.

Nice video. Im looking for a guitar with a similar feature set as this. I went to a guitar shop close by and picked up the dinky modern Et6 and was impressed with how nice it was to play. Naturally this guitar got my interest as well. Seems like you gave it a mostly positive review. If you were looking to pick up a new guitar would you have any reservation buying the Et6? Is there something else in this comparable price range (with evertune) you would also look at?

Thank you for watching! I have always had a soft spot for Jackson (although it is quite a one way relationship lately). I should mention Solar guitars; right now, I believe them to have the most in terms of options with the Evertune bridge. I also remember liking the Ken Susi LTD which is a quite unique guitar. Of course it depends what your needs are sonically as well. Pickups are always changeable at any time, but changing the guitars tool kit (luminlay side dots, truss rod adjustment wheel, locking tuners, archtop body, high fret access) is much harder and changing a guitar's feel is almost impossible. If the DK Modern ET6 spoke to you then I know you will love the Juggernaut and it would make for a hard to beat starting point. I hope this helps, I always enjoy helping out fellow players in their gear adventures.

@@TheBedroomGuitarist1 Appreciate your reply. I like the Susi spec-wise but man that mirror chrome would be too smudgy for my taste. I think the Schecter c1 sls elite might be another option. It does come without the evertune but with the current prices for a used model, I could buy one and send it into evertune for about the same price. I saw a review video by James Grealish where he did the same thing to his c1 sls and the end result seems really worth it. Keep up the good work.

The MM1 neck pickup is bad. Feels like an underwound single coil, while the bridge one is awesome
