Time for my favorite of the Galactic Conquests, solely for the reason that it makes the most sense as the starting position of the Rebellion to have barely any planets compared to the Empire.
Yep, it's like the Rebel Sim sub-mod for Awakening of the Rebellion. It's the most canonical way to do the standard strategy game campaign conceit of Tim Curry looking to the camera and saying 'we're pushed to the brink but now You, Commander, can bring it all back.'
Yep beat me to it lmao! I remember the days being a kid and being like where is my ship lol? Only to catch a suicidal ally crush straight into the side wall of the CIS hanger. My favorite space battle tactic was camping the enemy fighters and chucking a time bomb on their fighter as they took off
I could've sworn I heard the VA for Tank Dempsey a lot through this, so I looked it up and Steve Blum, who voices Tank Dempsey, voiced Male Rebel Alliance Soldier #1 in Battlefront 2 lol

Keep doing what you're doing brother; you always brighten my day with every release. The cherry on the cake is how you employ the same back of the book tactics that I and my friends did. Kudos.
Tip for the Rebel (and Clone) Landing Cruiser - if you use the supply bonus it also increases the number of rockets by x2.5, making them a lot handier in space battles. Not to mention your pilot also then holds 7 time bombs.
For planets like Felucia where you know you're going to be at a disadvantage, you can as least try to keep another one or two of your allies alive for the extra firepower by calling them onto you.
You know, the planets controlled by the rebels and Empire in this GC actually make a lot of sense. You'd think the rebels would hold Felucia considering how hostile the planet was to the Republic. Maybe they put it under Empire control for balancing reasons, but three years later it would coincidentally make sense with the release of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed which depicts Felucia as being one of those planets that the Empire was constantly fighting to keep a hold of. But after Galen Marek killed Shaak Ti, and the Felucians became corrupted with the influence of the dark side, the Empire were able to gain a greater foothold. Polis Masa, while seemingly being an anti-Imperial stronghold and the birthplace of Luke and Leia, this game's own story mode shows how the rebels made a last stand on Polis Masa in an attempt to pull Imperial attention away from other sectors by pretending to have a copy of the Death Star plans. There's a few outliers like Yavin IV. Which, according to the old canon, remained a rebel base for quite a while after the destruction of the first Death Star. But was eventually conquered by the Empire. Also Naboo? Yeah, no, that's Palpatine's homeworld. That place had an alarming amount of Imperial troops stationed on it. Even special honor guard at Palpatine's old crib in Theed. There were probably more stormtroopers on Naboo than on any other planet besides Coruscant.
always remember: the tech class repair tool is also meant for hacking enemy vehicles in melee combat try playing the JEDI KNIGHT: OUTCAST and JEDI KNIGHT: JEDI ACADEMY series if you dont know it yet. theyre also a classic.
Slicing is too risky for a no-death run. Even if you succeed, now you've got to deal with the two guys you just yanked out of the tank. Sure it might work but you're better off running other strategies.
What i am Missing ist cool maneuvers of flying through the "trench" of the Star destroyers (the Sides) and in General hugging the geometry of the frigates or Capital ships to avoid enemy fire.
Yeah, it plays better when ou start at Hoth, as Endor is at the opposite end of the galactic map, and the whole conquest feels like one glorious crusade. The reverse works pretty fine as well (Imperials starting at Endor).
Legitimately surprised you didn't try to fusion cut that AT-ST on Felucia open to shotgun the occupants. Would've been absolutely baller to then take it to hunt down the final enemies.
I cannot explain how fundamental this game was to me. Had it on the PS2 and played it non stop. The audio lines will forever be carved into my brain. Really happy to see you play this and in such a fun way, loved the series. Me and my brother still quote it almost every day. Thrak Farelle (rebel AI name) will forever be remembered
30:06 The answer is simple: It's Emperor Palpatine's home planet. He is sacrificing the war in a gigantic ego play. Wait, didn't he do that, like, the entire time during the clone wars? Hmmm, maybe evil dictator sith people need to refresh their strategies lol ;)
That defense at Yavin was literally a recreation of Call of Duty Finest Hour's level "Tractor Factory". Funny considering the two games were contemporous.
Idk what you think about modded content. But the "Galaxy at War", I think that's its name; adds both The First Order and The Resistance to the game as factions. Maybe you could make no-death videos about their conquests?
Another thing to keep in mind transports in space battles can act as spawns allowing allies to keep the enemy occupied while you destroy hard points in the ship though it needs someone in it to work properly.
My favorite strategy as Rebels on Coruscant. Grab a hero (Luke Skywalker in this case), and bum rush the empires first spawn point. Just do a sweeping side to side motion on the stair case and toss the lightsaber into the room. I've gotten many kills this way and have had games where the empire doesn't take a single command post because they're just being killed too quickly
I knew this one was gonna be good because of the challenge of directing the rebels whose A.I. is oddly addicted to overkill and having multiple soldiers shooting dead troopers, leaving them wide open to get hit with a grenade or stun lock killed. Thanks again for doing a video in one of my childhood favorite video games. If there’s ever a way to do multiplayer Galactic Conquest I’d be more than interested.
I always liked playing as the rebels because their weapons felt better. Unit feel goes a big way, and the design in first person makes you feel more like a solider fighting for your life
I never realized that the rebel infantry was voiced by Steve Blum until this vid crazy how often I spot his voice in stuff especially from my childhood
