From the bottom of my heart I cannot thank you all enough for the support you've shown through the initial video (Republic) and now this. It truly means the world to me and I just have so much happiness and joy from making these videos. I'm glad you're all enjoying them and are unlocking some memories from 15-20 years ago when all we had to worry about in life was dodging wrist rockets. ♥ I'll have a very special stream announcement coming in the next video, so be on the lookout for that! I'm hoping to release it either this weekend, or on Monday (the 25th).
@@fallmite9485ive pretty much only ever played on PC and i always remember droids being able to survive in space. i can see why they would patch that out in multiplayer for balance reasons but i just dont see Insomniac doing that.
Oh yeah, so apparently there's a hidden command post behind that corner that is cut off by the map's walls, which is why the NPCs keep trying to get to it. They're trying to capture the uncapturable CP.
Literally JUST watched the first one this morning... decided to boot up BFII and do the campaign before commuting to class. I thought to myself "I hope he does more of this!" Ask, and you shall receive, long live the empire!
I think everyone here agrees you touched a special part of our hearts by bringing back this game and showing us how special this game truly was. i grew up playing with my brother he got all the unlocks through our time playing, after all these years my favorite joke has been to convince any of my friends who never had played it to pvp me and just destroy them relentlessly only to let them have it after to see how op it all is
I like to think that every different class that gets into these hyper competent moments that sometimes sees them being the last survivor are all individual troopers that achieve heroic feats. Though with multiple fleets I think it goes double. I can see the Empire seeing these individual troopers and using them as recruitment propaganda pieces. Gotta imagine how dreaded that one Imperial Pilot has to be to board Rebel ships and sabotage those cruisers from within, spearheading further boarding actions. Or the Stormtroopers leading assaults and mowing down Rebels with precision, even being equipped with special burst-fire blasters and reinforced armor with small bacta tank infusions to keep them alive for longer. Or that one Engineer climbing up a fortified tree on Felucia and going full John Wick, dispatching Rebels left right and center with near suicidally close detpack explosives and single-handedly holding that position until the battle was won. You could make Legends stories out of all of these moments.
For the CIS, I highly recommend that if you are playing a B2, you _stay away from walls._ The rockets have no delay before they explode, and it's happened to me more than once where I have either instinctively hit the button to throw a grenade so that it may bounce off a corner, only for it to hit the corner and explode instead, hurting me in the process, or my team mates doing the same thing. You still need to use cover, just stand well behind it when you do.
The coruscant map is the one I remember the most as a kid when I played this on the Playstation 2, all the troops starting in one location and scattering through the map with no music, no gunfire, no sound but the stomping of feet, and everytime I heard that sound outside of the game it brought me back to the good ol days
Its possible to beat it in 2 min with darth maul. Sprint to their command post, merc everyone before they spawn in, and cap it. Clean up the remaining troops and cap the posts. Win by timer with 150 enemy reinforcements unable to spawn lol
It will probably be too late now (for continuity sake) but have you tried a modded galactic conquest, which adds all planets including the DLC ones and the era specific ones. Fun fact, the era specific planets have dialogue recorded for the opposing faction E.g rebel lines for Geonosis, Clone lines for Endor etc
I've been trying to mod GC for years and there's only really one mod (Anakin's Remaster and the accompanying mods) for it, and it is extremely buggy/doesn't work half the time. The Rising Sol compaign is fun, but its not really GC, more like an alternative campaign. Do you know other mods that actually do work?
@ there’s one of theres a big rework mod (off the top of my head I don’t recall it’s name) that sort of bundles a GC rework in with the rest of it. It’s not strictly vanilla but it’s close enough where it doesn’t not feel like normal SWBF2.
I like to think that it's the same clone from the first video just after order 66, and he's become a legend. Droids, rebels, and Ewoks alike just see him as a God of battle and just try not to fuck with him because they know only they will parish.
One of the reasons I love Coruscant so much is because playing as the CIS you get to use Maul who is simply overpowered against infantry with his larger lightsaber and quick attack animations. Probably the most satisfying thing to me to this day is getting the hero bonus, insta spawning as him, and rushing the clones spawn and completely wiping even a 32 AI team in seconds while they're all grouped in that hallway. If you're quick you can beat the map in sub two minutes by wiping their team and capturing the command post before they can even take the library, completely preventing the next 120 or so reinforcements from even spawning. Although imo it's more satisfying to let some go and take the library while your team captures all of the other command posts, and then just go upfront and saber throw down the center beheading over 100 clones in minutes. I have maxed out the AI team and reinforcement limits and played maul for hours just massacring entire armies in instant action. No game has ever allowed me to reach that same high and I have been chasing the dragon ever since.
I'm super happy that you're continuing on this game. It's SOOOOOOOO good, and your content is really great! Keep up the good work, your editing is, well, what's the opposite of jarring? It just fits, great work!

Hey! I enjoyed these first two vids! Since you've managed fairly well so far, how about an additional challenge for the next two? Either no powers or even no spending might make things interesting 😉
Yeah the moments in the beginning where you charge with a big group of soldiers down a corridor or the ones where you hold the line all on your own against the enemies are probably some of the coolest feeling moments in the game. Hope you'll make more of these.
turning 18 today, i have GROWN with this game and ho boys how good it is to see someone making these kind of stuff here ! If you want a small strat that i used back in the day: i space battle with the rebel you can go on the side of the imperial destroyer facing away from you own and you have that sort of trenches (where on the other side you have the hangar) its peacefull here, nobody ever comes and you can safally destroy the shield
I’ve been doing these challenges for a while now and they’re great fun! I’ve been able to complete it with all factions and have now gone on to completing it with just one class of trooper. i’ve done standard trooper, sniper, and engineer so far. currently working on the heavy. once you’re done all factions and want some more suffering i’d love to see you do class specific runs!
Loving this series! I must say though I'm slightly disappointed that you didn't show much of the failed attempts. Obviously you don't need to go through the ENTIRETY of every battle you fought for every run that you lost, but it would be cool to get a little summary of how each attempt went and how they ended. You showed a tiny bit at the start, but IMO one of the things that made the first video so impressive was seeing more of the failed attempts. Really puts into perspective how hard this challenge is.
I offer you advice for both CIS and Rebellion playthroughs: Don't get shot. It leads to dying. Don't fall off ledges. It also leads to dying. Shoot the enemy. It leads to winning. And most important of all... Have fun. It leads to fulfilment.
The droids can heal you through the small walls in the ship hub area. Pretty good camping spot, just remember to check the door behind you for troops coming in from the hangar.
So 3 big tips for CIS. 1. Leave Kamino for last or late in the run. Genosis is a GUARENTEED win every single time with one easy method. That leads us to 2. Genosis. Spawn in and take the hilltop command post immediately. SPRINT up there while it is still neutral and HOLD IT AT ALL COSTS. Literally CAMP that spot with a squad of friendly NPC's helping you. Stand there and farm. The enemy will constantly flood up that hill and you can clean house no problem and the battle will go your way 99% of the time. Worst case, garrison bonus to make absolutely sure, but most times it wont even trigger. In 20 years of playing this game multiple times a year on PS2, i have only lost or come close to losing this planet MAYBE five times. It is THAT easy of a strat. And then you farm an easy 1000 credits plus planetary bonus. Easy money and full suite of units. Then when you get sick of orange and brown spawn a fleet and take Kamino after you get snipers. Best sniping map in the game. That leads us to 3. Space battles. Best space fleet in the game. Buy the droid marine immediately and then take advantage of the broken drop ship if the map has one available. Fill up with units and land in the enemy ship WITH THE SUPPLY BONUS ACTIVE. You are SLEEPING on the supply bonus for space. All your marines get extra rockets and more importantly pilots get extra bombs. You gotta land and take off 3 or 4 times to empty the ship. If you dont the AI will take off, crash, and there goes your free spawn point for reinforcements. Then you have a spawn point for your troops to stop enemies from taking off. Take out the auto turrets and internal shield generator with 4 or 5 bombs directly on the generator. Merc the internal systems, then the rest of the battle is gravy if they dont take out your drop ship. Its SO worth it. Plus, just slap a bomb on enemies as they take off and chuckle as they blow up fresh out of the hanger. Sadly once they have clone marines this is far less effective but sometimes they wont be able to blow up the drop ship. The alternative is either the fast as hell Trifighter or the Spacefaring TANK of a bomber. Fastest bomb drop and cooldown in the game. And the Trifighter just melts enemy fighters. CIS is soooo much fun lol. AAT tanks are by far the best in the game and their units are an absolute blast. Having a ball with this one Predz. Gonna bust out my PS2 and attempt this challenge myself. Enjoy man hope this helps!
the story of some random engineer successfully taking a capture point from 20 rebels, THEN securing it, THEN holding it from another 30 or so, Darth Vader himself doesnt have this much plot armour
also fun fact: there is a glitch with force choke, if you start to "cast" force choke on a target, then swap to the other ability to stop the stamina drain! It works best on someone with saber throw (anakin/vader best example), but it still kinda works with the force lightning but just less so
Between you and me, there's an even tougher challenge than this for conquest mode, bordering on insanity. That challenge is to conquer all the worlds using the heroes (selecting it when the option comes up, as fast as possible) and without dying. Of course excluding space battles that will probably have to be used to farm credits and buy bonuses to attack worlds. I honestly think that challenge is impossible as I don't think anyone has ever done it before.
Suggestion: When you do the CiS campaign IMMEDIATELY unlock the Droideka, it will carry you through, if you get 2 or three to follow you around as well it'll get pretty crazy, also remember that you can change classes at command posts, so no need to die to change.
I don't know if it's been patched since then, but in the autoturret room during space battles, you can actually stand behind the wall where the medical and ammo droids are, and they'll still give you health and ammo as long as you're standing close enough.
My friend and I tried for about 3 years, as adults, to beat the campaign without one of us dying. Furthest we ever made it was the last objective on Hoth when I got domed by a wookie.
As for advice on the Droid conquest, I would say have Marksman Droids ready for the Battle of Kamino, you can shred the clones from the back spawn point on the higher platforms. Even without trying to go deathless I pretty regularly do it this way. Also, not sure if you know this, or anyone does sense I don't see anyone make use of it. The Rocket Launchers, at least the Rebel ones, have a vehicle lock on, not sure about the others might be one of those faction specific things.
For starters, excellent play to get that command post. That would go down in the record books as one of the best solo pushes ever. Second, excellent music selections.
Looking back at this the only issue I will ever have with Battlefront 2 is there not being award grenades. Other neat thing I noticed is there’s a sort of tank design dichotomy. In Clone Wars era the Clone’s tank is better designed for being a one man band while the Droid tank needs a gunner for it’s cannon, as the way the guns are set that it gets hard to fight infantry up close. It’s reversed in the Civil War era where the Rebel tank has finicky pilot guns and has the rocket turret, while the Empire keeps roughly the same tank as the Clones.
Here's a fun fact: get enough kills with any weapon (lifetime), and you can start a match with the elite version. Though you'll have to switch weapons after spawning to make it work
Ive been loving this series please continue it! This game was my childhood id just like to share that if you get over 1000 on any of the awards at the end battle screen the number will glitch out off screen lol
When you're done with all the factions in battle front 2, there's a cross-era galactic conquest mod for the original game on nexus. If you want a harder challenge. Republic against Empire feels like you're either wiping out the last of the clones, or the last of the clones attempting to bring democracy back. Though it is considerably much harder as Republic against Empire as its very easy to confuse the white armor.
A few things - 1, why don't you take the frigate and land it in the hangar after you take the frigates? Spawning allies in the hangar to cause chaos never hurts. 2 - I mean the 2 factions with worse bombers are done so stealing bombers so this is kinda a moot point but still in the future you could always leave in another ship to bomb the rest of the modules. 3 - I've really enjoyed the bf2 videos and I also grew up playing it with my dad on the ps2. He died about a year ago and this is the game he played when he had his hernia in 2006. I played it with him since. He named his in game profile hernia and now its my in game name for bf2. I hope you continue to make these and i hope whoever makes the next swbf game adds a real galactic conquest. As my dad said - they could just update the (original) bf2 graphics and sell the crap out of it.
Recently watched first part, and on the next day you uploaded another one. I played battlefront 2 on my PSP and had a lot of fun back then, so I'll gradly refresh my memories of this game. Seamless transit from spaceship battles to a regular one, always impressed me, especially at that time. That's something, that even today is rare.
Just a quick lil tip as obviously its the real winners of the Clone wars, the seps soon, on kashyyyk, you can use the vehicle boost on the tracked tanks the seps have, using this boost and driving directly at the people sized doors flanking the big door at the back of the map, you will just go right through it, being able to destroy the door controls and trap all the controllers of that area in it.
First of all, I'm REALLY glad you continued this series, I loved the first one. Second, it might just be a me thing, but I would love if you kept the losing runs in to show the progression. I really appreciated that part of the first video and was sad to hear you cut them for this. Just my 2c.
hey quick tip for forrest planets or any scenario where you need to hit something that you cant hit or is hard to track. Press Q. If its rockets you will get a lockon to vehicles , everything else leaves you a giant box around the enemies hitbox
i just finished watching the first no death play-through, excited to watch this and the stream. I hope you continue this series by playing every faction!
I keep seeing this video so just leaving a view and comment for engagement. I played the hell out of the "campaign" and don't think I ever even finished the first level without dying. People don't understand how bonkers this is
I love this blast to the past. Maybe after you do these normal ones you can try a couple modded runs as a challenge. Blind challenges are always fun to watch
Thank you for paying this game... Used to play it split screen with my childhood best friend....watching your first video a few days back made me give him a call and we started to reconnect. So thanks for that aswell! :D
The rebels and CIS are my favorite factions. Growing up when I was younger my older brothers would never let me be the Empire or the clones. The same goes for games like "Rome total war" and "Command & Conquer Generals" they would only let me be the Barbarian factions on Rome and the GLA on Generals
Now you need to do the rebels, the *true* protagonists of that era of Star Wars. It even makes plenty of lore sense (as long as you don't swap into a wookie or bothann spy) as they focused a lot more on force preservation by the necessity of an insurgency.
Gotta say impressive work beating yet another Galactic Conquest campaign without dying (well outside of a few times early on). This game is a game I easily sank a few hundred hours into on my ps2 and og Xbox and honestly I should play more on PC, anywho fun vid!
I used to love the empire space battles so much so I used to say the best part of the whole game was bein an imperial marine target filled close quarter battles there's almost nothin better
I remember this game and used to play sooooo much. And that video was very cathartic to watch after 20 years XD I still have it on my old 360 and kinda wanna go set it up again...
The biggest problem with 2017 BF2 was not having this mode. Also, for the droids, go for the droideka IMMEDIATLEY. It is the best unit in the game, it it literally a tank without missiles.
I liked how in the first one you did it on a new profile. It got easier with time because you got the permanent perks. I feel it's a little to easy if you get it from the start instead of earning them through like the first video. A lot of the reward weapons are. Broken challenging
I really like these videos! The music choice is kinda funny though, it keeps reminding me of what would play over an emotional montage or finale in a movie somewhere. My brain keeps expecting something more punchy or actiony. I guess I'm just expecting the Star Wars OST, lmao.
Playing defense on Endor is a bit of a toughie, indeed. My personal nemesis, though, is Felucia. Not just beacuse it's kinda chaotic, but because playing this map used to cause random crashes on my previous PC (thankfully, not on the current one!).
Nice! Half the game done already I'm surprised, I expected this to take a few more days before the next upload haha Also I find it a nice continuation that the Empire was next, like it's just the future and it's the same soldier now in the Empire side single handedly finishing this fight.

That leads us to

Seeing the E-11 in first person always makes me want to play Jedi Outcast again.
Holy shit I literally subscribed to this guy today for the Republic vid and theres already a new one?
I imagine the CIS playthrough is next, absolutely cant wait for that, loving this little mini series
8:30 damn, that one rebel had something out personally for that trooper
My favourite part of this game has always been the rebels shooting dead troopers, always made them feel more like real people.
I love that at 8:31 you can see a rebel still shooting the corpse of a imperial soldier xD
28:30 hey, at least you weren't staring down Polamalu in the c gap when you're lined up for a fake field goal at the goal line as the holder
First of all, I'm REALLY glad you continued this series, I loved the first one.
Second, it might just be a me thing, but I would love if you kept the losing runs in to show the progression. I really appreciated that part of the first video and was sad to hear you cut them for this. Just my 2c.
Wasn't expecting this to drop as soon as it did, but it's quite welcomed.
Awesome music choice bro, would love to see you tackle this challenge in the OG 2004 Battlefront too! The OG Geonosis just never gets old.
It was just about time someone could finally put an end on Nom Carver's smirk
Every time i see the victory screen i smile with nastalgia
hey quick tip for forrest planets or any scenario where you need to hit something that you cant hit or is hard to track.
Alternate Title: What if John Wick was part of the Empire?
Them: do you want to see your favorite creator play his favorite ga-“
Me: Yes. Every time.
That hilltop assault and subsequent defense required some good old Doom OST.
Now you need to do the rebels, the *true* protagonists of that era of Star Wars. It even makes plenty of lore sense (as long as you don't swap into a wookie or bothann spy) as they focused a lot more on force preservation by the necessity of an insurgency.
May I suggest a challenge for the CIS.
As the CIS, you're only allowed to be a destroyer droid, and for space, a marine droid.
I loved this game still go back and play it every now and then
Gotta say impressive work beating yet another Galactic Conquest campaign without dying (well outside of a few times early on).
This game is a game I easily sank a few hundred hours into on my ps2 and og Xbox and honestly I should play more on PC, anywho fun vid!
This mini series made me resubscribe. I missed the zomboid content, but THIS is the stuff I can get behind!
I want to see the next conquest entirely in first person. Give the gun models some love!
I used to love the empire space battles so much so I used to say the best part of the whole game was bein an imperial marine target filled close quarter battles there's almost nothin better
i can't express the stress i felt watching that felucia segment
I really hope you do the CIS next there are one of my favorite factions to play as in the OG BFII
I remember this game and used to play sooooo much. And that video was very cathartic to watch after 20 years XD I still have it on my old 360 and kinda wanna go set it up again...
25:50 shock trooper probably had an out of body experience for a second
The biggest problem with 2017 BF2 was not having this mode.
Also, for the droids, go for the droideka IMMEDIATLEY. It is the best unit in the game, it it literally a tank without missiles.
I liked how in the first one you did it on a new profile. It got easier with time because you got the permanent perks. I feel it's a little to easy if you get it from the start instead of earning them through like the first video. A lot of the reward weapons are. Broken challenging
Unless you didn't have it from the begining expecially the elite blaster and pistol and just earned it every match
32:18 Nothing like watching your teammates dive off walkways straight into molten death. Good old AI.
3:30 truly only Imperial Stormtroopers could be so precise
When you’re the last trooper alive, and you think you hear someone say “we need more troopers like you”
Nice! Half the game done already I'm surprised, I expected this to take a few more days before the next upload haha
Also I find it a nice continuation that the Empire was next, like it's just the future and it's the same soldier now in the Empire side single handedly finishing this fight.
Amazing video, but ya could have made the joke about how the rebel bodies on Utapau might have made a decent obstacle... if your tank didn't hover.
