  • The huge variety of cigar shapes and sizes can be intimidating, especially for beginners and those new to cigar smoking.
In this guide we will cover the large role that size and shape play. However, the cigar type you choose isn’t the only thing that influences the flavor and how it smokes. It’s important to understand how various colors and types of tobacco used in the filler, binder, and wrapper contribute to the cigar’s flavor.
Ultimately, the shape and size of the cigar will affect how you perceive the individual flavors in each tobacco blend.

No kidding. I appreciated the history lesson at the beginning but I've no idea how big or small that cigar is.

Yes! Biggest frustration watching it and not knowing anymore than when I started because they didn't show anything to enable a reference point on what they were talking about.

My family used to raise Burley tobacco, that took about 13 months and is a mutation of the Virginia strain, we had to look after it a great deal then barn hung it from late October to near Dec. Cigarette companies usually bought it to make their product.

i have always found i get the best draw and flavor in the corona size. To me it seems to have a great ration of filler/binder to wrapper flavors.

Very informative! You guys need to post more of these on all social media sources. This is very different from what others in the industry are providing and this knowledge needs to be shared.

whilst i enjoyed it, i felt sometimes the answers were a bit vague - like i was hoping i would get some info for like what type of certain cigar is more flavoursome and how to identify that etc.

I actually think they got it right. Imagine if they fulfilled your wishes; someone else will immediately raise some red flag. For example, the wrapper-vs-strength topic. If you look to traditional blends, one could argue the color and strength are predictable and logical. But today, not a chance.
At the end of the day, we’re better for their perspective and information.
