Mario what causes mate mottling and tiger 🐅 stripes in the base coat paint and how can you stop it or correct it 😅

Modeling is usually caused by things like inadequate flash time, artifacts in base coat, a dirty panel, things like that. I super light pass with 600 or 800 grit paper can usually correct that. A pass with a track cloth and some cleaner might help. As for tiger striping, temperature's can have a big effect and fun settings also. If it's a hot day make sure to use a slower reducer and a slightly tighter fan setting. Also, distance makes a big difference. If your passes are too far from the panel striping will happen. Lastly, overlap is also very important. 50% overlap is recommended for base coats and 75% with clears. Remember, there's other factors as well but these are some of the most common. Good luck

Mottling is caused by the following:
Wrong reducer for the temperature
Spraying too wet or PSI too high
Uneven spray pattern.
The main cause of stripping is an uneven fan. If your gun is clogged then you won’t have an even spray.
