    • @TheKaleSandwichShow
      @TheKaleSandwichShow  8 лет назад

      We just looked that up! It looks delicious... we're going to try making that, thanks for telling us about this dish! :D

    • @meliedbaez5550
      @meliedbaez5550 8 лет назад

      really? I hope you try it and make the video!!! tembleque is a traditional dessert usually we eat on christmas. Also we make "arroz con dulce" and i think you will love that recipe too that is made with coconut, rice, sugar and spices.

  • @tamcon72
    @tamcon72 8 лет назад

    Do you mean a "medley of fruits"? I prefer "melody"! The idea of using tinned fruits for this really appeals to me; although I generally eat fresh or frozen fruit, I retain a great love for canned fruit cocktail from grade school cafeteria lunches of yore ; ) Thanks for posting!

    • @TheKaleSandwichShow
      @TheKaleSandwichShow  8 лет назад +1

      +tamcon72 Haha! Yes, a medley not melody... 😂 Although the flavours of this dessert do work together harmoniously! 😜

      +hadroncollidier It was definitely one of our favourite desserts growing up! We just have regular boring jobs aside from RUclips but it would be wonderful to be able to create recipes full-time on RUclips one day!

  • @Razilation

    I know a similar recipe but its without milk and you put the fruits in the jello mix before cooling. but i dont think my method is asian, i learned it from my grandma (we are german) but yours looks delicous too. i definitely going to try your recipe

    • @TheKaleSandwichShow
      @TheKaleSandwichShow  8 лет назад

      +Razilation Yeah, we've seen that before too... it's like a jello ring with fruits inside right? May we will try that one day, it looks very nice! 👍

  • @bubbles02010
    @bubbles02010 8 лет назад

    for agar, it's important to make sure to dissolve the agar powder in liquid before bringing it to the heat. just to make that clear for u guys

    Looks good but I personally wouldn't want to use caned food or mix fruits that are sweet with acidic but I think one fresh type of fresh fruit or berries would be wonderful ! thanks for the recipe :)

    Looks really easy and delicious! Can you use coconut sugar or coconut nectar in place of the sugar? You both are sooo sweet! Also, where's Mom today? 😃

    • @TheKaleSandwichShow
      @TheKaleSandwichShow  8 лет назад

      +beth f Yes! You can definitely use coconut sugar or nectar in place of the sugar. We sometimes use maple syrup and it also taste great! Thanks so much... but our fans are much sweeter than us! 😘

    Thank you, I'm going to try to make this for my kids! Questions on modifications… Do I have to use almond extract? Can I substitute different types of plant-based milks?

    • @TheKaleSandwichShow
      @TheKaleSandwichShow  8 лет назад +1

      +Heather Vallentyne Moreau Hello! Yes, feel free to use any milk alternative of your choice, the jello will set just fine. Also, you can experiment with different type of flavour extracts to your liking... even vanilla would be delicious! Thanks for watching! :D

    wtf this is THE favorite dessert I had growing up in dim sum places - they haven't made this in California restaurants in a LONGGGGG time since I was little.
