hello everyone! If you're watching this video you've stumbled upon one of my very first. BE SURE TO CHECK OUT MY OTHER STUFF, the new stuff is wonderful
I made the almond jelly today for the first time after over 20 years, for my party. It was a hit. Thanks for your easily followed recipe and I will look at your other recipes, too.
Thank you so much for posting this. I had to find a recipe that would work and it had to be through RUclips because I had to see it being made first. The online recipes were dubious because the amount of gelatin was way off; this seems perfect. I also love the fact that you put visuals because I'm watching this with the sound off as my husband watches a Korean Zombie movie; I would imagine this is also hearing-impaired friendly as well. Really love your content!
I will use the Knox gelatin. I used to buy the box of almond jello powder but there was a smell that I hate. So I will try yours. I don’t know we have to use a whole bottle of almond extract. Thank you.
@@aight_lol oohhhhh wow the 1 game i haven't played. THATS SO COOL! glad Xiao could bring some people over here. This is such an old video too, be sure to check out some of my new stuff if you enjoy :)
I note that the original Almond jelly recipe uses Agar Agar. Is that something I can substitute your recipe with using half the amount of Agar Agar instead of Gelatin?
@@BaoBeiKH I was worried it would be too soft because the gelatin box said 4 packets for 2 cups of water, and the recipe was 3 cups of water and 2 cups of milk, but it turned out pretty dense. I'll try 3 packs of gelatine next time. I'm used to it being more mushy. I have stores nearby that sell the stuff in a bag just add water/milk. This is good though. Thanks!

Wow so easy and delicious!!!!
good morning to the xiao nation
Indeed
If I was using leaf gelatine, would it be the same weight as powdered??

A whole bottle is definitely too much. A tsp or tbsp should be good enough.
Please do not only use a tsp or tbl, it is insignificant for this amount of jello. Follow instructions
You’re welcome David ! :)

Xing ren, bitter almond is best!
Thank you very much!
you're very welcome
can i use almond milk instead of water?
Definitely trying this out since Real Almonds are super expensive in my country.
Btw can i try Half of the ingredients? For smaller portion
yay! yeah no real almonds needed here. of course! Half the recipe if you need :)
@@BaoBeiKH Okay, thank you!
Can I substitute almond milk for whole milk?
Making this for my beautiful wife Xiao

what kind of milk do you use?
Hey~ I just use whole milk :D
Have you tried with almond milk? Wonder if that will work too?
Damn this just popped up on my front pge

1oz of almond extract?! That's a lot! Lol try with a tsp or at most 1tbsp. It should still be good. 1oz is too much. Haha
This is not true at all, for making two huge portions of almond jelly this is how you get a deep almond flavor
But 1oz is around 2tbl, so if you half this recipe then yes that’s fine. But with this quantity. Definitely desirable to use 1oz !
@@BaoBeiKH I got a 2oz bottle of almond essence and used maybe 1/10th of the bottle if not less. It was good.
