  • This dessert was my childhood obsession! I'd forgotten about it for a long time and just remembering it now so I wanted to share the recipe with you. This version I'm making is a more sophisticated and more delicious version of what I used to eat as a kid, which came out of a packaged mix, but it's still really easy to make, and super refreshing!
This dessert can be made in advance and kept in the fridge, nice and chilled, it's perfect for the summer!

@@mariaharuspex9126 Xiao is doing well and he was really happy when I made him almond tofu. He is usually a really picky eater and does not like most dishes but every time he gets some almond tofu, he eats everything on his plate. It is still his favorite dish and that will probably never change.

Thank you for this recipe. It came out absolutely perfect on the first time. I used agar threads and used scissors to cut it down and used 2 tbsp of threads. So much better than the artificial too sweet package almond jello versions. Like that it’s all natural.

I have been looking for an authentic almond jelly recipe for a few years now because it used to be my obsession. I learned to love it from China. Could I put the Almond jelly mix into jumbo fluted silicone cupcake liners? The only silicone thing I have are those. I was thinking I could turn the jelly upside down with the flutes on top of the fruit salad.

Yas! I’m early! This reminds me of TaHo from the Philippines (brought by my Chinese ancestors) Our TaHo is made of Soy Beans but since I’m part Hawaiian my family has combined the traditional filipino soy milk TaHo with almond flavouring.

You don't have cilantro roots? Or no cilantro at all. If no roots you can sub stems, but otherwise....nothing else quite tastes like it.

I just saw the live-cast that mentioned that this recipe might be one of the least popular ones posted by Pai.
Though I have no doubt that this is delicious, I'm thinking that it is too similar to Jello fruit cups or 'Ambrosia' sold in the local supermarket deli to be considered exotic enough to make.
