I JUST BOUGHT ONE OF THESE FROM COSTCO TODAY,,,THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SHARING THIS VIDEO
Good generator only one problem it has the air intake on the bottom of the generator so if you set it down in sand snow or dirty surfaces they can suck up into the engine get past the filter and cause damage. Put it on a very clean surface or on a picnic table or on a piece of cardboard or a little piece of plywood did you cut and keep with you and you will have no problem overall good generator.
Thank for the advice
nice video, and good hint, turn off gas first
I just bought one on sale Tuesday for $263 after tax. So we’ll see. Not the exact one I was looking for. But for less than $300 it’s worth taking a chance
Where did you find it for $263? Costco shows it at $489!
Refrigerator only runs on about 150watts the starting watts is probably around 1000 to 1100 watt then drops back to 150 it runs I refrigerator 55inch tv internet box and 3lights without any problems
What is the dry weight of it?
The best thing about it is if it breaks you can trade it in for a new one at costco
True
Love one
Thanks for the vid!!!
👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Thanks for sharing, is there any kit available to convert this generator from gas to propane?
Not that I know
💯
How long will this run for in total? I read it's only good for 1000 hrs in total. Bought it for the gigs but now I'm looking at wasting it on remedying Toronto Hydro deciding to slowly murder us here. I haven't had a shower in a week because there's either no water at all or no hot water most of the time since they brought in already a tiny insufficient generator with not enough running watts to supply a 19 story residential building. It keeps shutting down for many hours at a time, and they don't give a damn. Can't cook, all my food has gone bad, I have medical needs for electrical power, and I may not be alive much longer if my Firman 1600 generator dies on me too. They brought this in to replace electrical equipment downstairs. No one is replacing it, no one is even there to maintain the generator. If one of us dies - no one will notice.
hi. you have a good day now.
I hope you have a whole year of the kind of "great days" I'm having@@Obamasama-tr8nl
Don't be so dramatic. I've slept in my car in -45 degrees Canadian winters. Suck it up, buttercup.
Will it run 13.5k AC?
How long is the break in - when are you changing to synthetic?
Manual says the first 25 hours then every 100 on oil change. Im going to change it before maybe about 8-10
Next time do a small break in... you put max load after 30sec lol
Sounds louder than the predator 3500w? Hopefully someone will do a decibel test.
Yes I think it is
Right? The dang thing is so loud. But for $349 can you complain
I am planning on building a baffle box for it. All you need is a bit of wood and a bit of fireproof insulation.
Its 299 right now at cost co as of 12/12/23
Yes I just bought one last week
strong enough for a vacuum or a buffer? im a detailer
It should no problem. I would get a kill a watt meter meassure all your devices before you buy a generator.
Here is an old video for the kill a watt
ruclips.net/video/jACVVFxwCZA/видео.html
@@toolhead147 what’s that may i ask?
@@robertoferrer3354 you plug the kill a watt to the wall then you plug the device to the kill a watt tells you how many watt it's using
best thing ever for these things, dont give it a break in period. fire that sucker up and plug the max it can handle right off the bat. plus the oil that comes with it you can put the full bottle in it. and eco mode will automatically adjust the idle for what you plug in it, so just run it with that on or it will high idle all the time.
Lol
@DikoMan - he was being sarcastic...
@DikoMan you cant detect sarcasm??? any engine that requires fluids in it always need a break in period. my point was if you started up the generator and didnt skip the break in video part and just plugged in what the max it can handle you are destroying the motor.
@@mando8925 hi, I also didn't detect the sarcasm. There are people from all over the world on RUclips. It's hard for French people to detect sarcasm, for example.
@@mando8925 the motor will not get destroyed. This is not a 1960 engine
Ebay has it for 199 + tax and free shipping right now
How would you compare this unit Firman to The cosco Yamaha similar unit? Thanks.
I have the Costco Yamaha sitting dead in my garage right now. I left gas in it for 3 months with stabilizer and the carb froze up. Try fast fix and everything else and still won’t run. My dad has this firman. Just put it on a dolly or cart to keep it off the ground. It runs good but a little harder to start. Yamaha was quieter, but doesn’t have the fuel cut off some some gas is always stuck in there unless you run it dry.
Firman is definitely made in China. "Headquartered in AZ"
Honda have Chinese parts too...
China it everywhere 😊
Would it run 8000 BTU AC ?
Nope. You'll need 3000W or more to run an AC.
It ran my 8k AC
@@SuperDanGee did it run your ac good while using other appliances?
@@jonathanprince6377 it could run lights and a fan but I wouldn't run a microwave and the AC at the same time. I've since upgraded to a larger RV with a 13.5k BTU AC and that generator would not run the AC. I bought the Honda eu3000is and am looking forward to using it this summer. Its sooooo quiet!!!
It's made in China. Company is in Az.
Yes, this generator is also sold under etrailer.com's label at a higher price.
There's alot of brands "made" and assembled in the U.S even Apple. There still good brand you just got to research. I had a brand new Generac Generator and paid around $800 and only lasted 5 months after Hurricane Maria. A complete Garbage, many others had the same problem!
What type of gas does it need?
Just regular gas
@@toolhead147 lol
Only put ethanol free gas
You gotta break that engine in properly before using it like that
True 👍✔👍
Just got the last one for 299.97
Nice
300 now
Nice!
ugh - they are sold out... hopefully they will run this promo again
I heard that Sam's has an upgraded model for 400 worth checking out if you know someone that has a card
@@toolhead147 I have a Sam’s card and I only see the Ai power. Brand.
@@mleukus maybe its not in all stores, my brother works there that's why I know
I just bought this today i run a decal business anyone tried running a 3 port extension on this unit
i hope you break it in better than him
Will it run a refrigerator
It should but just that, nothing else plugged 🔌in. For bigger full size fridge
I'll make a video 📹 see if it will do it
@@toolhead147 refrigerator
Boring, you did almost a whole video if unboxing etc. More testing would of been my thought process..............
