I have made four of these in the sleeveless version and I don’t sew on the kangaroo pocket. I really like this pattern it comes together well looks good on everyone I have sewn it for. I think your notch issue was probably due variations in the seam allowances taken. Like you I also found the trickiest part is sewing the hood into the neck hole and ensuring that the two sides of the hood meet nicely at the front neckline , I have taken to basting this area first. DD now wants a cropped one with sleeves but no cuff ribbing, It will be nice to sew something a bit different.it’s been a year or two since my last one hence a trip to the Tube to see how others are sewing them. I’d really like to see a sew along using an over locker as the primary method of making it up, I do use mine but am a relative novice an feel I could do better.

I love the sound of a sleeveless version. It does come together well, and is easy enough to grade between pattern sizes. That would make sense with the notches (I don't always keep note of the seam allowances)!
I would not know where to start with an overlocker...I have ventured to that in my sewing journey just yet. I bet it sews up a doddle with one though!
Good luck with the cropped version, I hope it turns out how you want it to!
Thanks so much for watching and commenting :) xoxo

Hope you enjoy making it! It all comes together well, with the hood being the most fiddly part. Hope the video helps in some way, and thanks for watching! xoxo

I would bind the neck edge seam for neater finish then stitch down as per instructions

Thanks for the tip! I will try that the next time. I haven't done much bias binding before so always good to learn a new technique! Thanks for watching and your advice 😊 xoxo

Will be making a start soon. Good video description thanks. Will be using my overlocker a lot. This gives me confidence. Have you sewn the Nora top?

Ooo good luck with it! It is easy enough to put together, and will probably fly through with an overlocker. I haven't ventured into the relam of overlockers yet...maybe one day! I haven't tried the Nora top, but it looks very comfortable. The Tabitha t-shirt comes together nicely though! Thanks for watching and hope your sewing sessions goes well! xoxo

Got your reply ok and will report back once I get to grips with it. I also recommend Tilly’s Miette skirt which is a breeze, but the choice of fabric is everything.
