    Love your video as always. Your hoodie looks fab and inspiring for the autumn that lies ahead. I love your incubator blankets for little and poorly babies in NICU, such a lovely idea. Our son was born at Southampton and spent 5 weeks in Princess Anne NICU before heading to Basingstoke NICU for another 5 weeks. It’s such a lovely idea to make the blankets for the babies. It’ll brighten what can be a tough day for a baby and parent on NICU. Our little man also loved hiding under the incubator covers and enjoying some dark time, maybe the Seasalt fabric would be good for that too? Loving the work and sewing Sew Pretty Kitty, looking forward to the next video and enjoy the rest of the summer hols. X

      Thanks for watching! I am always in awe at the strength and resilience of the parents of sick babies. Anything to make the journey less difficult has to be a good thing. Big thanks to sea salt for donating all the fabric! I might back some of the bigger pieces with black fleece for incubator covers.
      Thank you for commenting and thumbs up to you for being a prem mummy! Xx

    Your hoodie looks lovely. I don’t wear them but I’ll make one for my daughter now! It's so annoying when patterns come out smaller than you expect. Had it happen a couple of times recently. :(

    I love my Stella hoodies too! How disappointing about the cami, and as lovely as it looks it has to be comfortable to wear. ❤️

    I too have had trouble with the silk cami. I tried a few iterations but never did love the fit unlike my Ogden cami that I love! I am planning the Stella hoodie next so happy to see yours. Thanks for the great vlog

    I had fitting issues for the silk cami. It is too tight in the top chest particularly. The facing is the problem so I’ve made it without but still restrictive. Then Ive made it a size bigger at the top part sizing right in at the waist. This has worked. Plus the sizing on the pattern was different on my pattern than the free one in a magazine. I really like this now I’ve cracked it. Funnily enough it looks tight and a strange shape in the pictures of Lisa wearing it. Great video.😁

    Great video and I love your makes, especially the hoodie and the floral tank top 💞. Such a lovely idea to make blanket's for the baby unit. Sea Salt fabric is always great quality and lovely prints. I have made a River top with some leaf print fabric from Sea Salt and I'm so pleased with it, but might look into doing something like baby blankets with the spare that I have 👍. Thanks so much for sharing your makes and plans 😊😘

    Gorgeous hoodie! I have the SOI silk cami to make too, so I'll try the 14 out, but I think I'll have to take in the sides. Thank you for sharing your makes. Love the fabrics for the sheets xx

      Yeah, they just aren't for me. I have her first book, and while I haven't made anything from it, there are many things I would make. The Stretch book just didn't speak to me, even though everyone else was in a froth over it.

    • @Penguinandpear
      @Penguinandpear 6 лет назад +1

      Haha I know, right!! I just didnt get it. TBH I think anything Tilly does will be well recieved as shes well placed in the community. Her first book was amazing. I credit it with getting me into sewing. Not that anything fits without some grading but such beautiful designs. Im more a fan of her earlier stuff although I do still buy her patterns sometimes.

    Lovely makes Carrie, I am very tempted to make a hoodie with the grey polka dot fabric I bought in Southampton recently. I really like your version. And you totally cannot pass up organic fabric at 5 pounds a metre!!

    Really interesting to about your experience with patterns. I intend to make a Stella but I have got so many other things on the to sew list! I surprising had the opposite problem with the SOI silk cami. I think I need to size down 2 sizes but need to work out how to do a FBA. Thank you for your videos.

    I just love your hoodie!! I love how you added the stripes down at the bottom, it makes it really personal and cool girl looking!! I really love the fabric that you are wearing on your first tank with the flowers on it!! Ok, I just have to say that busy bag, it's the cutest thing ever!! I have to make one for myself! I love things like that, and the brilliant way to load all the pens on the front like that. I knit and I put sewing needles and crochet needles in the front!! That is just perfect!!! I just subscribed and I love your channel! Thank you sew very much for sharing your makes with us!! =:)

    I love your hoodie! A great idea to add the waistband to create a nice shape, could I ask how you worked out the dimensions for that? I would like to do this myself on a Stella I am making.

      I just measured the circumference of the waist and decided how deep I wanted it to be, then took an inch or so off the length just to make it slightly tighter I think. Apply it in just the same way as a neckband x
      Thanks for watching x

    Hi there - I love your vlogs! The floral tank is lovely and I have that book but haven’t made anything from it yet so I’ll start with that! I love your busy bag. Did you design it yourself? Or did you find a pattern? That’s would be great for my little great nephews and nieces. I’m not such a hoodie fan but love your version and I shall be making one for my son’s girlfriend who has a birthday in October. Perfect!

    LOVE the hoodie. The colours go together so nicely. I have a few sew over it patterns. I find them all weird regarding the fit. I did the knit dress and had to take out a good 3 inches each size as the hips were huge!

  • @lynnwells324
    @lynnwells324 6 лет назад +1

    How do you figure out how tight the bottom band should be?

    • @threadtherapy251
      @threadtherapy251  6 лет назад

      Usually about 80% of the circumference although it very much depends on the type of fabric you use. I measured around the bottom and subtracted 2.5inches I think- Ponte isn’t very stretchy! I tried the cut length around my hips first to make sure it wasn’t too tight. Thanks for watching x

    That's a shame about that black and white dress with the funky pocket--it's otherwise a really nice looking dress. Could you take off the pocket? All of the details on your Stella are so nice--the red drawstring and the stripes are particularly striking!

    • @threadtherapy251
      @threadtherapy251  6 лет назад

      I think it’s incorporated into the main body of the dress, I’m not sure- I will take a look. Thanks! The hoodie has been worn plenty of times in the wild already.....another one is in the pipeline! Xx
