I like the army but I feel like the 10 thunderers wont really do anything and you need some magic defense. A basic runesmith with with 2 runes of spell breaking is only 5 points more expensive and it will give your king and his unit flaming attacks and armor bane 2. Some magic spells can really mess you up like certain vortexes so its handy being able to automatically deny your opponent that crucial spell they need to get off. Also your long beard will still have hand weapons so you can choose for them to use hand weapon and shields if you know your going to be charged by a powerful unit and you just want them to hold and take advantage of the shield wall special rule. You can get rid of the unit champion to in kings unit to get the extra 5 points to pay for the runesmith as your king will be accepting all the challenges anyway.
Kazukan Kazakit-HA! Edit: My favorite thing about Old World Dwarves aside from Oathstones, is their relationship with the Empire. I like to imagine a Dwarf traveling the Empire would be welcome at any peasants door, heartwarming.
One of the thing about hammerers is that if you have for example a thane in the unit anyone of the unit can declare a challenge, no if your enemy charges you with a dragon of doom of +500 points he will only be able to kill one hammerer a turn At least i thats what i heard also i would advise to try out irondrakes minimum unit with troll hammer torpedo on the oficer
Good luck. I've got a similar 2k dwarf army. They are difficult to master. They have all the tools to counter a meta army but list building and playing each unit optimally is so important with them. I've gotten tabled several times trying out different builds. 😞
Rangers > thunderers, the rangers actually give you a way to dictate the battlefield, which is the weakness of dwarfs. Those thunderers are to short ranged, an will maybe kill a couple enemy models. Then get charged an wiped out.
That army looks tiny to me! I dunno what the points costs are like these days but my old 1500pts armies literally had twice the number of bodies on the table! Also, where are the current set of dwarf rules?? This old longbeard is interested in pulling out the throng of Karaz-a-Galaz again! 😛
From what I understand, the late stages of Warhammer Fantasy (editions 7-8) massively bloated the model counts for most armies. As a cheap trick on GW's part to induce customers to buy more models, without investing in the production of new sculpts. Whereas The Old World seems to hew more toward earlier editions, where model counts were lower. Personally, I think this is a good thing. It lowers the barrier for entry for new players (or old players reconstituting armies they may have lost along the way). Something that was a problem back in the day, and contributed to WHFB's untimely demise.
The Points per Model changed something but not to much. The greatest dfference is now in comparison to older Edition you can take one or.more Lord Unit in Battles below 2000 Pkt and max. 50% of your Army in Characters. This is a 1500 Pts. Throng. The King with Shield Bearers and a lot of runes is ca. 300 Pts. And the Thane with BS and the Master Rune of Grugni is ca. 200 Pts. Therefore he had only ca. 1000 Pts left for Units. The best Balance between Points in Heroes and Lords and other Units was, is and will ever be the most challenging and funniest part of Army Building.
Im not sure you can put 3 identical runes, the rules of runes state you can duplicate *runes aka have 2 Anyway, thats how i make my dwarf list, maybe you should double check it, a weapon skill rune might be better anyway As for your army, i think it's too immobile, gyros and rangers are too good to ignore and help a lot in mobility Also i think hammerers are by far the best infantry of the roster Your opponents are gonna dictate the pace of the game, 2 arties with no engineer are not gonna scare a shooty army and gl trying to engage with your infantry, marching column and hope for the best 😅 Meele oriented armies are gonna flank you since they are cavalry or steed of shadowing 90% of the time. Dwarfs are kinda bad dealing with monsters, but i guess your general can deal with anything Is the tournament open or closed list? Cause if its open list i dont think anyone would be stupid enough to send a dragon there Good luck and have fun!!!
Most of them are from another model maker. In some of the Tourney vids, he'll showcase each army and say the name I can't remember. Andy2D6 also mentions the different models in his videos.
Clarified in recent faq. Each model, ie the Lord and the Shieldbearers, get a single attack. Yes, it's more limiting, but you can challenge to get around this too.
@@mitchcowan1446 They can decline challenge, sure they lose attacks, but if they just have a unit commander they lose 2 attacks while you lose 8 (the shieldbearers are 1 unit not 3 sadly)
Really lacking in total number of troops and actual number of units for 1,500 points. I have 290 Dwarven Infantry broken down into 50 x Two Handed Hammers, 25 x Hammer & Shields, 25 x Axe & Shields, 40 x Handgunners, 40 x Crossbows, a Unit of 30 Dwarves varied weapons 30 x Trollslayers broken down into two units and 50 of Prince Uther's Imperial Dwarves also broken down into two units. (yes a bit much but less than half the size of my Empire army which has 625 Infantry) They are back up with 7 Crew Served weapons. Not sure on what the points would be since there is no way I am going to spend money on any GW set of rules due to them being overprice piece of junk. Now Elves would not give you too much of an issue due to their units costing almost as much as yours, but Orks & Goblins and Empire could due to them being able to field far more units and miniatures.
SATISFY THE GRUDGE!!

Wholesome :)
Love your old world content, keep it up!💪💪
I'm hoping dwarves get a new artillery rune that either gives them +1 wound or at lest reroll to wound.

Awesome, I’ll have to watch that video at some point tonight

You need some Ironbreakers and an anvil of Doom, literally one of the best melee combos for dwarfs
Snotling fondler? Sounds like a name for my next goblin hero. Simon Snotlingfondler.

When the opportunity to legally take crossbows to a Warhammer game, you refused sir. You shamed us sir!
But seriously, lovely stunties
interesting list! i how did it perform ?
Highland's Dwarfs - best dwarfs
2:44 - What about the infantry core!? Does tradition mean nothing to you!?? On a Dwarf video no less!
That’s a grudge!

Thanks for this One!
Are these GW Models or something else?

With such a small number of units aren't flank attacks a threat?
😊
And then your Blender Lord isnt into base contact and can only contribute a single support attack :D

there was never wysiwyg in fantasy, dont ruin the game with arbitrary rules.
He can do whatever he wants. Wysiwig is event specific, but uncommon. Even so, his hobby preferences are none of your concern
What id do. Add engineer. Swap thunders for rangers. Replace one long beards with hammerer. Adjust numbers as needed.
Like the list tho
I agree. The engineer makes the organ much better and I think hammers are best for holding the center of the line.
@@ssmarine5624 I like longbeards, but no harm in having both :)
