I have a cockatiel like for 5/6 days, and he already flies to me, i call him whistling and he flies to me, he's not hand raised, but he's very young (i guess less than 2 months) so i could easily tame him, or maybe I'm just lucky that I get such a calm and intelligent cockatiel like him
@@ebdnour9277 I just whistle, and usually wait a bit until he comes to me, not always he flies, you just need to spend a lot of time with him now that he's young, in this way you will have a nice bond with him, and probably with some time he will fly to you, you can whistle to call him or just say "hey hey come here" for many times, if he understands that you are talking to him, he may fly to you
@@shekke8085 wow, very impressive! My cockatiel gets excited when I come home and starts yelling 😂 she has flown to my head when I don’t want her to but when I actually want her to fly to my finger, she doesn’t. I’ve had to use treats
My bird is quite stubborn. SHe does not fly even for food. Tell me one thing if I give her food in her cage and then take out her and take it to the another room and then try this practice. Will it work or should I give her food only in my hand when she wants to fly at me.
I hate being that person and this is just a strong suggestion not trying to be rude at all just givin bird advice to other great owners you should prolly take the mirror out of his cage it can make them angry and annoyed because they think it’s a mate otherwise great vid and beautiful teil!
My cockatiel’s make eye contact and likes to look at my finger They are some cute and great companions They does not eat from my hand I haven’t tried that yet They are 4 months rn
CAGES I'm sorry to say this, but the cage is too small. Double Wing span wide and and 1 and 1/2 wingspan deep. The height of the birdcage should be at least two to three times the length of the bird from head to the end of the tail feather. PERCHES Having two or three of the same diameter dowel perches will hurt the birds feet. Natural branches have different sizes for the bird to grab onto and this way his feet will get exercise by stretching and contrasting to different size branches. I loved the video and the bird is adorable. I couldn't help notice that the clock wasn't working because I was going to see how long you were planning to train the bird by watching the clock and then I started laughing realized the clock wasn't working.🤣🤗
Hey i love your vids. Im looking to get a cockatiel but the youngest my local store has is 6 months, is that a good age to buy i want a very friendly and tame bird. Also how long does it take for them to be really tame like on tiktok. (i have other prior birds and knowledge but not familiar with cockatiels)
Hi, thank you for the support :) I recommend not to buy 6 months old, wait and buy 1 month old tops, or younger..then it will be much easier to teach him things. 3-4 months with active teaching and hanging out with cockatiel for couple hours daily and then he can be your friend :)
Hi, i have a white face gray cockatiel. He is 3months old, bought him when he is 52days. He doesn't like to be inside the cage, so he is with us in the living room. He is not allowing us to near him. Please help me with some tips to train him.
I have no idea if anything im saying is true but she's not too old for it! My tiel is 12 months old, I'm trying to teach it how to fly on command but it's careless and doesn't understand a thing im trying to say to it, but pretty sure ur cockatiel can fly to u
You are training and caring for your bird wrong! You have way to small of a cage! Get rid of the mirror, it will make it hormonal and that is not good. And get natural Perches doul perches can give birds bumble foot!

I have a new cockatiel just bought it today, hope I am going to enjoy him.
Can I teach my bird any language??
My cockatiel doesn't even need to have food, He spends his entire life pulling feathers.
If it’s pulling her own feathers it’s a sign of stress take it to a vet
Since our cockatiel doesn’t like food, we will just use finger
Oh, I assure you fingers are my cockatiels favourite delicacy
Your cockatiel is so cute!!
Thank you :)
Not cute then me :)

Hi i have a 1 month old cocketail, at which age can i start training them
You can start now :)
Do you cut the main flying feathers of bird so that he doesn't flyies away at beginning
At India we do this at beginning for getting it tame
Do you know if this will work with budgies?
When I clicked this video I thought that I can get my cockatiel to fly to me when Nugget the cockatiel was on my roof
Is your budgie junior? Is bc i dint know how to hold my budgie
