When I bought my tractor, I thought dealer support was #1. I found out it's #2. #1 is operator comfort. Cup holders are important if you sit in that seat for hours. 🚜

Correct. We should not be relying on any other country for anything.

Same thing with cars. I wish I could remember the website, but there is a site that had European car parts shared by all of the different manufacturers. So if you own a particular year, make and model of a European car and are having trouble finding let's say an ignition control module either new or at a junk yard, you could find out what other cars that same part was used in.

    Nice video Hank 👍
Working in the Automotive Manufacturing Arena we too combat the same mind set
We have to disclose what percentage of our parts are domestically or globally resourced
Most automakers use the same suppliers to a vast degree just different specs
Biggest thing is the quality of that part because if you install it you own it as a name brand !
    Thanks for sharing

Tractor companies have been using various suppliers for almost as long as there have been tractors. We had a 1968 Ford 5000. The starter-generator had "Made in England" stamped in it. I tend to not like JD & Kubota as the make everything proprietary, which results in increased consumer costs. Case in point: I can't find any output shaft information on the Kawasaki FX850V efi in a 'bota z-turn without going to a dealer. Easily repowered 3 other brands without issue from info readily available online.

All you gotta do is google....FX850V, tons of options out there for parts, outside of a dealership.

I've been using heavy equipment for decades and I strongly agree with Hank. In my opinion, there are a couple of really bad brands, but almost all of them are very well engineered and built. If someone is kinda new to tractors, then dealer support is kinda important. But if someone has been around this stuff long enough, they learn how to source parts and really have very few questions to ask a dealer. Then it really becomes an issue of how well it fits their application and ergonomics and of course price.

And sometimes all these companies the reason why they take and have and get other parts from other companies is because all these companies at times need to have other parts from other companies because of the fact of struggle high demand for Parts Supply because sometimes companies don't always have enough parts for their company so they reach out to other companies to partner to have enough supplies to get tractors built

Its been this way for decades, you aren't saying anything that people don't already know....and its the same for the automotive industry....most times manufacturers have multiple parts suppliers for the reason if one can't get the parts to them fast enough they use another supplier....kind of like Jeep in the early to mid 80's the Jeep Cherokee XJ before the AMC 4.0L I6 came about, they used the General Motors 2.8L V6, ignition was also from GM....everybody mixes and matches on parts from whoever they can get the parts from to build whatever it is they're building.

And one thing is and the biggest thing is at the end of the day everybody that represents these companies and works for them you know you can't really get on the ones that have to be there at the shows representing them because everybody needs a job at the end of the day working for these companies so it's not so much the ones that work for these companies because all at the end of the day everybody takes these on because they got to be providing for families
